It may be satire, but it’s stunningly accurate.
Sometimes, satire is just what is called for.
(Bold added:)
The NY Daily News should repeat their epic cover from Dec 2nd 2015, after the San Bernardino shooting
Republican senators are now fully ON SIDE with right wing domestic terrorism.
I guess they know where their voting support comes from.
It was a nice country while you had it.
But that’s just the thing - the Onion has been posting this exact headline for mass shootings for years. It’s sort of meta-satire, where they’re admitting, nothing every changes, so why change the headline?
Oh flying blashemy!
Oh that’s fine, he’s white.
More evidence that the rotten apple doesn’t fall far from the stunted tree: Don Jr. claims the Texas shooter could have used a bat.
What a complete moron. My memory may be failing me, but I recall Gloria from All In The Family talking to Archie about all of the gun deaths in modern society, and I recall him replying: “Would you prefer they was pushed out of windows?”
BAsically involves GQP plants as poll workers backed up by lawyers to get in on the ground floor challenging votes/voting/gumming up the works - because “election integrity”. I don’t think they know what that phrase means.
Also, more projection than a 35 screen movieplex.
All they want is for voting to be fair, and it isn’t fair that black people get to vote. And brown people get to vote. And women. And white people who are Democrats. And…
TLDR version: It isn’t fair if the Republican doesn’t win.
Sometimes it isn’t fair if the right Republican doesn’t win, e.g. the statements of the third place candidate in the recent Georgia Republican gubernatorial primary.
Yes, they’re making nonsense arguments, but they don’t care. Because it just might work. What we should be doing is trying to take action to stop them, not making fun of their reasoning. Because they don’t care about their reasoning; they just care about the result. It’s pointless pointing out their hypocrisy, because they don’t care. Using rational arguments against them just plays into their game.
Fox News is NOT airing live coverage of the Jan 6 Committee’s Hearing which starts Jun 9 at 8:00 Eastern. The better to keep brainwashing the masses.
Censorship!
But, but, Fox Business, which, like, everyone watches, will be carrying it.
I’m sure those 1,382 viewers should be well enlightened.
Blake Masters is a Republican running for Senator in Arizona. He has been endorsed by Donald Trump. Masters, in turn, supports Trump’s claim that he won the 2020 presidential election.
But that’s old news. The hot topic now is gun violence. And Masters explained its causes in a public interview:
“It’s gangs. It’s people in Chicago, St. Louis shooting each other. Very often, you know, Black people, frankly. And the Democrats don’t want to do anything about that.”
So Democrats don’t want to do anything about Black people? What does Masters think should be done about Black people?
Blake Masters is too stupid to work a McDonald’s kiosk.
But definitely not too stupid to be a Republican Congresscritter.
I guess that supply chain problems have caused all the dog whistles to be on back order.
He’s also not too stupid to work for the Trump administration. Which he did.
He’s also smart enough to sell NFT’s (which he does) and not buy them (which his supporters do).
I guess this is the new version of being faster than the bear. A Republican candidate only has to be smarter than a Republican voter. And make sure there are no Democratic voters. And on that note, Masters has said “election integrity” will be his top issue. (The Republican version of election integrity, which says the outcome of the election should have been Trump winning.)
