And also, no surprise, elimination of same-sex marriage rights.
The South Dakota executive department must have collapsed. What with all of Noem’s legislative aides, public relations people, campaigners resigning en mass. No doubt a special session of the legislature will be called to consider impeachment. The outrage, calls for resignation, froth, and foaming of the mouth from her own party, the GQP, must be deafening and widespread.

Remember when a Republican saying stupid things about not allowing abortion exceptions for rape or incest was enough to derail their political runs?
Pepperidge farms remembers I do remember.
I remember also when other Republicans did properly condemn the yahoos that said those things in their midst, this is almost not the case nowadays., and even more sad, that past I’m talking about was around 2012.
The overall response to the controversies was negative, and some commentators blamed them for Republican losses during the election.Republican political consultant and policy advisor Karl Rove wrote in an opinion piece for The Wall Street Journal, “Offensive comments about rape by [Republican] Senate candidates in Missouri and Indiana gave the media an excuse to put social issues at the election’s center in a way that badly hurt the entire party, as well as costing Republicans two Senate seats.”[122]
Karen Hughes, a former adviser to George W. Bush, wrote in Politico, "And if another Republican man says anything about rape other than it is a horrific, violent crime, I want to personally cut out his tongue. The college-age daughters of many of my friends voted for Obama because they were completely turned off by Neanderthal comments like the suggestion of ‘legitimate rape.’ "[8] The conservative blog Hot Air linked Akin’s remarks to polling indicating an increase in support for legalizing abortion in all circumstances.[123]
The controversies caused the Republican Party to look for ways to prevent its election candidates from making similar comments about rape. Kevin Madden, a Republican strategist and senior adviser to the Mitt Romney presidential campaign, said, “This is actually pretty simple. If you’re about to talk about rape as anything other than a brutal and horrible crime, stop”. Anti-abortion groups, such as the Susan B. Anthony List, launched training programs to prevent controversial statements on rape and abortion.[124] Republican pollster Kellyanne Conway told Republican members of the House of Representatives that rape is a “four-letter word” and Republicans need to avoid discussing it.[124]
I have become convinced the real reason Republikan filth oppose gun control is because they want as many people as possible to be killed. The only real difference between the US Republikan Party and the German Nazis is that the Republikans, much to their chagrin, have lacked the opportunity to kill as many people as the Nazis did. So this is their way of making up for it.
And I’m sure being the personal target of a state Governor is exactly what the girl needs right now.
Their handling of COVID convinced me that it was not hyperbole to call them a death cult. They are certainly willing to sacrifice their own, as long as they also take out some others too!
I have no problem whatsoever with taking a cue from the modern German government’s treatment of the Nazi Party and outlawing the US Republikan Party and jailing its members. They deserve much worse.
Data journalist says this “1 million voter switch” claim is incorrect, based on faulty analysis.
Rep = Reptilian party.
Thank you for that. I had heard or read something about it but didn’t chase it down. Something to do with crossover voting in primaries, if I remember right.
I’m so glad it turned out to be skewed data. We already have enough to worry about. Thanks again.
More Evil from Florida:
That’s terrible, but it’s also incredibly stupid. Such a survey will be very easy to manipulate. I expect there will be a lot of silly answers in that survey, such that it will give DeSantis very little, if any, useful information on who to fire.
We are quickly becoming Gilead.
…and we don’t even have the balm.
From article:
Tempting to birdflip them, but could come at a cost with that extortionate fucking subhuman POS.
“A lot of parents”…“socialism factories”…these are the arguments put forth for this horseshit. They have absolutely nothing, and never did, despite their supporters readily eating that shit up. Not sure exactly how much more “pointed” Simpson’s offerring was.
I assumed “not respond in a satisfactory manner” would mean reporting too many non-republicans but maybe it includes silly answers too.
Someone could come up with a creative solution – maybe every faculty and student who’s not already a hardcore RW idiot reply “non-political” to every question about political opinions, or say “independent”, or whatever.
Still a dumb law that’s likely to get struck down.

By this SCOTUS?

Or just lie and say “Republican”. I consider myself an honest person, but if a state government started a mandatory program to survey my political affiliation (in an area where it’s completely irrelevant) I wouldn’t feel any need to tell them the truth.
“It 'says here that you are registered as a Democrat (or Independent). You’re fired”.
