Probably, but it really doesn’t have to be about big hair. Just having your hair done and make-up. Ever seen Debbie Wasserman interviewed? And she’s the DNC Chairperson. Yikes! That shit must be put on with a shovel!
Or vice-versa . . .
Possibly because there’s no story here other than a couple of liberals-- like the first poster on your link-- throwing a bitch fit (see what I did there?) over something so innocuous.
Dollars to donuts an out-of-touch man came up with the idea and no woman was consulted.
It’s to hide the snakes.
Yup… about as popular as the failed “s/he” thing.
I honestly can’t believe that women at the convention are not having a fit about this. This is the most sexist thing I’ve ever heard of. If I go to a tech convention, they don’t have makeup touch-up booths on the side. But, I guess the Repubs want the women at their event to look good on camera?
If you go to a tech convention, are there women?
Serious question.
Yes.
Serious answer.
You mean like OMG above?
You’re right, for once. It is unremarkable that the Republicans would be so stupid and patronizing.
This isn’t a town hall meeting. They have people for that.
“Reporting LIVE, on a non-story in a liberal message board thread about a liberal bitch fit about the Republican convention, I’m Omg a Black Conservative with a Lot of Time on His Hands. Back to you, Herman!”
I hope you didn’t post this to defend them because equating a hair and make-up touch-up salon with the Secretary of State standing behind women’s rights in Eqypt or the definition you linked:
is even worse than all the snark in this thread.
I hope so, otherwise, my wife would be running off to Vegas two weeks each year for less-than-honest reasons.
Yeah, women.
Ah good, you’re back. Ham and havarti on dark rye please, brown mustard and no mayo–there’s a good girl.
- swat! * Heh heh heh…
See, this is why we’re supposed to just stay in the kitchen!
Of course there are. And not just attending, but giving papers, being on panels, being the program chair and the general chair too. I think MIT is more than 50% female these days, a far cry from when I went.
Anyhow, at the shows I go to the men would probably benefit more for a booth than the women, and I definitely include myself.
And the only way you can defend this is by calling it a non-issue in precisely the best way to make the problem seem even more ingrained.
