The Republicans are swine cunts

Where’s my beer?

Thanks for the biology lecture, even though it was pointless. I was responding to Pochacco’s comment about the high number of eggs that don’t adhere to the uterine wall and why that should hold ramifications for those that believe life begins at conception. Now, if you believe that life begins at conception than there is no difference between a crib death and an egg that doesn’t attach to the uterine wall, and whatever explanations that apply for the first should apply for the second.

Jack shit. I was responding to pochacco and his claim that high mortality rates (or whatever) for embryos should have theological ramifications for religious people. If they’re already using “God’s plan” reasoning than high embryo fatality rates are explained by that and thus there is no theological problem for them. I’m not saying its good logic, only that there is no potential problem here for religious people.

Also, what I’m doing is called “being a devil’s advocate” so why don’t you park the attitude?

Who typed that for you.

Come on you can tell us.

I guess we missed it. Post 87.

Bad Lissener. Bad bad bad. Naughty.

There. Still, when the righties keep adhering to the same tired crap thread after thread, even when confronted with cites, articles, proven flipflops, gross contradictions, etc. I have to wonder myself.
[li]Whatever.[/li][li]Even so, I try, whenever saying such things, to make it about myself, not about the target of my negative opinion: “I sometimes find myself thinking that . . .”[/li]
It’s cool, just having a bit of fun. What the hell, it’s the Pit. let 'er rip. For some of the gang, “retard” isn’t a good word anyway. “Fucking stupid” works better.

No, Clinton was not an asshole. He was doing his job. Just like Bush is doing his.

Just following, er, I mean, just doing mah job.
Nothing to see here. Move along.

(To head folks off at the pass, no, this is not a Godwinization, simply pointing out that ‘job duties’ do not absolve one of responsibility.)

As long as we’re at it, I’d also like to say that this particular branch of the politics of tu quoque is painfully fucking stupid. We know that Bush has been running secret torture centers. We do not know that Clinton was. There is no reason to assume that he was. And even if he was, all that means is that we have two guilty assholes instead of one. Add to that the fact that the shills seem to have forgotten the fucking meaning of ‘condone’, which is not, necessarily, to support, but to overlook. And overlooking torture seems to be a special skill these days. And all this babbling without even one single cite, and some shill wants to whine and divert attention via some flash and sizzle oh-look-over-there-quick-quick fallacy?

Fuck that noise.

God your post was lame–long and lame and unfunny. You really wasted your time, as the above paragraph seems to be the fibrillating heart of your response.

Bush didn’t “take us back” from the crash. He’s had horrible policies in place that have spoon-fed the rich while fucking the poor (the tax cuts, etc.). Employment has sucked mummy schlong for five years now. The GDP growth is what you’d expect from the US–an economic powerhouse despite our inept government; at the same time, though, you’ve had increased profits for big corps while the standard of living for the bulk of Americans has improved not one iota.

If Bush were merely incompetent, the above response would suffice. But wait, as Ron Popeil says, there’s more. Bush started a useless, strategically disastrous war that has helped to fuck the economy and the national mood. He is the anti-first term Reagan, the anti-leader in every regard. He spoke and led well directly after 9/11 (though that attack happened on his watch; he shares part of the blame), and the Afganistan war was justified and handled well (at first).

I was bitterly disappointed by Kerry’s loss (not that he wasn’t a total suckass candidate), but I still said that the next four years are going to be great!. I’m not into hating for hate’s sake, and had much rather seen Bush reform than fuck the country more so that the Dems could win in '06 and '08.

BTW, I am a leftist and very often critical of the Democrats. But recently I have not seen too many of them act like corrupt, dishonest, disingenous swine cunts. When they do, I’ll blast them just as hard as I’m blasting the Pubs now. The “Democrat” brand means nothing to me.

Are there good Republicans? Of course. In local politics, party affiliation often means nothing. But in national politics the party might as well rename itself the Fascist Party. The exceptions to this (and they are out there, God love 'em) are more and more forced to vote like fascists because of the highly effective goosestepping the party enforces.

Look, Bush has gone from the shittiest possible president imaginable in Nov. '04 to beyond shitty. I gotta hand it to the guy, he never fails to surprise with how deep he goes. Not content with the deep sea, this fucker’s down in the magma and plans to drill through the nickel core of the planet.

He is nuts. He is flailing. He is discredited and shamed. But still he offers the press and people the selfsame disingenous palaver. If he were just doing it cynically, Machiavelianly, that were bad enough. But the fucker doesn’t even know that his shit ain’t selling!

And he is surrounded by some of the scariest, evilest dudes since the Nixon Administration. But wait a second, a lot of these dudes were in the Nixon administration (Cheney, Rumsfeld)!

Hey, we can argue about whether Reagan was a good president (I’d say in his first term he was good for the country on balance, disastrous for the most part in his second), or even whether Nixon did some good things (he did, and even a lot of good, liberal things). I will give credit to Bush for good leadership for about the first 6 months after 9/11. His speeches were excellent, he responsibly and astutely avoided make the issue about Islam, and the war against the Taliban was well and economically executed. My Pet Goat aside, mind you.

But, aside from that inspired time, he has been an unmitigated disaster for the country. I also am less apt to give him credit for his handling of 9/11, since my guess is that it would not even have happened with a real leader like Gore in office.

And the Republican party now is not Reagan’s party of the 1980s, nor even Gingrich’s party of the early 1990s. It now far right, theocratic, and hard-core scary. It is not only abdicating its responsiblity to take care of and improve the lives of the poor and middle class, it is proactively fucking them with a spiked metal rod in every orifice possible. In short, it is trashing the country. My only regret in calling members of the party “swine cunts” is that the name just doesn’t express my hatred quite well enough.

I’m middle class, and I don’t want the government to “take care of me” or “improve” my life.

As Thoreau said:

If I knew for a certainty that a man was coming to my house with the conscious design of doing me good, I should run for my life.

In other words, leave me the fuck alone. Why doesn’t the left get that?

What do you think a far left US government would do? Force you to go to a Soviet-style chess club or drink Wylers grape and watch bad film strips?

No. A fact of modern life is that the state is the only means by which to prevent polution, provide for transportation, and provide health care. The US government, according to a stat I saw back in 2001, already provides 44% of health insurance in the nation.

The minimum wage. 40-hour work weeks. Anti-discrimination legislation. Regs to help the disabled. And on it goes. We’re already a socialist nation but too schizoid to admit it.

The government doesn’t want to improve your life. It wants to provide a safe, level playing field on which people can play any game they want.

And that’s how every modern state in the world now is. Planet earth–love it or leave it.

No, we have two Presidents of United States doing their jobs.

While their detractors are just like “backseat drivers”, to borrow Scylla’s metaphor. When Dems are at the wheel, Republicans are throwing tantrums, and vice versa.

Tell me, before I get into this with you, are you pretending to be stupid again or actually being stupid?

Just because they’re ‘doing their jobs’ (which, by the way, violations of human rights are not part of), then they’re still assholes if they’re assholes.

Maybe you should borrow metaphors from people who aren’t enraged lunatics?

Ooooh, a fallacy of false dichotomy. Good show! How about, no matter which party is in power, we demand good leadership! Wow… what a concept! I feel faint.

Yeah. The planning happened long before, though. The problem is, your ilk refuse to acknowledge that little fact. Maybe they were too busy bombing aspirin factories in Sudan and Chinese Embassies? Or a small dinghy that was named the USS Cole? Or an assassination attempt on a US President? Or a previous attack on the WTC?

All happened while He Whom Must Not Be Named[sup]TM[/sup] was in charge.

9/11 wasn’t a surprise hit, looking back. And that’s the key. LOOKING BACK. The problem with your type is that sometimes life and politics don’t happen at the speed of a cable modem. There is an “exit strategy”. There always is. Sometimes a “side” doesn’t agree with it. Sometimes we as the general public don’t know what it is. Sometimes we just have to trust there’s a plan.

Sometimes we have to, ya know, realize a public statement of the plan may be seen by the enemy. If this is acceptable to you, you’re cordially invited to the poker club. Just let us know your plan based on each hand. You alone can finance the war.

I have to wonder. Those that want to beleive they have all the answers, why aren’t you in charge? More realisticly, why are you not in a position to make fundamental changes? Bush has been in office for 5 years now and you “enlightened ones” just know Bush is evil. Why can’t the majority see it?

Look, I’m no BushBot. I see many things that are pissing me off. I’d love to see another Reagan. Note to Dems, you had control of the House and Senate during his term, so don’t sling shit about policy. The Dems voted to enact them.
We’ve been hearing for years about how the road to hell was paved by the Bush Administration.

We’ve also heard from Falwell and his ilk that America was heading to ruin because of the Teletubbies, etc.

Neither happened. You sound the same. I equate you as the same.

You have become what you hate. You bought into it. Congratulations.

Curious to see your thoughts on your requested cites, Duffer.

That’s what I thought of the OP. Maybe I could have saved the batteries in my last post.

Except that the OP wasn’t a tu quoque fallacy and many of the charges made were factually accurate.

Tecnicality is golden here, so I’d ask you to give my thoughts on those cites. OTOH, being conservative I’m wrong. How about I just concede to you? Seriously. Being conservative, I could hand you Bush’s head on a platter and someone would Pit me for murder. There is no way to win, so what’s the point? Nobody takes anything I say seriously. I accept that. It’s to the point I just post to offer an opinion and hope I don’t get piled on. I really don’t give a shit anymore.

Not a slam on you, just a new attitude after getting e-mails from people that have to tell me they have me on their blocked list. Not giving a shit is so much more relaxing than getting into flame wars. Disregard what I said in this thread. I’ll note your cites and try to read them with an open mind with no predudice. Whether I can accept them is of no consequence to anyone, so I’ll humbly say thanks and let it go at that.

If you insist… your new thoughts are that you agree with them and have had a sea change in terms of your views about the war

“When I want your opinion I’ll give it to you!”

Can you send me nubile women too?

I agree, you should give up and send me some nubile women.

Self pity doesn’t become you. I am, at the very least, attempting to treat your with some degree of respect and consideration, balanced with my attempts at eviscerating your arguments. It’s an interesting balancing act, ya goat felcher

Awww, but fighting-from-the-bottom-of-the-dogpile-fu is both an art and a science.

Petty pathetic fucks. For what it’s worth I’d humbly suggest that you practice the zen of fuckemall.

Come on man, let’s not turn this into a pity party. If you’d like to disagree with my conclusions, feel free. I’ll do my best to engage you in intellectually honest debate.

Jesus F. Christ, Scylla, what the fuck was that pile of shit supposed to be? Care to bring in some substantive counterarguments, or are you just gonna bring in some other dumbass character?
