Night, y’all. Back to work(again) tomorrow.
Up, caffeinated, and off to work.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 75 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 95 for the day. Summer is still with us. It rained some at da cave last night, but not a whole lot. However, there was a biiiiiiiiiiig storm in town that knocked power out in the north and south parts of town. The orifice is in the south part of town. ‘Twill be innerestin’ to see if there’s power. Accordin’ to the news some parts are still without power as I post.
And that’s the big news this mornin’. I need more caffiene and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. Le Sigh.
Oh well, Happy Hump Day Y’all!
swampy, call your work # or fax #. If they ring & ring & don’t pick up then there’s no power.
Afternoon all!
Got most of the stickers removed, but one had fallen off, so they had to redo that one. I’m still not allowed to shower properly until they check them on Friday, which is a bit annoying. Still itchy- my skin does not like having things stuck to it, and has made this quite clear.
Managed to park sneakily close to the horsepistol- they were doing roadworks on a spot where there’s normally a 20 minute limit, but they’d taken the signs down and there were no markings, so that means it’s OK (or at least means they can’t stop me, nyah, nyah). I wasn’t there long anyway, but I resent paying to park- I pay enough to drive without paying to not drive as well.
Then went plant shopping and bought some grapevines, 'cos they were crazy cheap and my housemate was after one. There’s no labels on 'em though, so I dunno quite what they are. Def’nitly grapes.
Happy Hump day!

I see I killed the MMP
I know
I left y’all hanging without giving a weather report and my agenda for the day.
My bladder kept waking me and I didn’t get enough sleep last night.
So it’s a muggy overcast 78 degrees here in the armpit.
I still have my window open though and am listening to the sound of the cicadas. Not like the sound when we were overrun with them several years ago, that noise was horrible.
It’s supposed to get up to 85 today but the day seems to be taking it’s time getting there.
Nothing much on the agenda except irk and I have to get my scrip filled. I’ll do that later when I feel more alive.
Sixteen more days, just 16 more days, and I am so scared something will fall apart at the last minute.

Fax? How quaint!
I don’t know if my office even has a fax. All I really care is that we have coffee.
I did indeed have power when I got here this mornin’. YAY! I have also learned that the paint people will be here again this weekend to varnish baseboards and orifice doors. Thus Moanday shall be another stinky day at the orifice.
In other news, N.O.L. has been consumed.
Thus it is in swampland.
Thunderboomers last night and light rain on the way to irk this morning. Had to reset the clocks twice!
Bowling with the heathens again tonight.
It’s surprising, but the fax still exists.
I hate waiting, waiting, waiting. I went out on Amazon to look for a bed for me and I can’t find a thing that I like. I can’t find a kitchen table that I like. Shopping for Sah-son is so easy, keep it sleek, simple and black and he is happy.
I need to get up in the attic and see what all I have up there but getting into the attic is a chore here. You have to empty an entire closet, take out the rod and shelf, open some doors and then climb up a ramp. Once up there you have to be careful not to fall through between the supports. Part of it has a plywood floor but not all.
I think all I have up there are dishes and silverware. Everything else is junk kind of stuff except for some gold jewelry that needs to be repaired.
I’m so happy the house I’m buying has a real attic with fixed stairs and a hardwood floor.
I don’t care about basements but I love a real attic.
So since I was bored with shopping on Amazon now I am trying to talk to both the cable and electric companies.
I gave up on cable and sent them an email.
The electric company website sux
I can’t even apply online, I have to print out a form and FAX it to them.
I hope their service is better than their customer service.
I thought it was too soon to apply for stuff, at this rate it may not be soon enough.
I do fax stuff from time to time from the orifice. However, I much prefer to scan and email. I am not a complete Luddite.
Three more folks goin’ to irk. YAY!!! My [del]minions[/del] assistants are busily settin’ up appointments to bring in new folks next week. I have completed an audit of our efiles and they look really good. Now to finish up monthly reports. A busy, but productive irkday for da bear so far.
my day has been very unproductive
sitting on hold does not get anything accomplished.
I was going to go get my scrip filled but I asked if I can switch one of my other scrips from costco to cvs and that takes a few hours.
Right now I doubt I could walk all the way back to the scrip counter at costco so I’ll just go through the drive thru at cvs.
I’m serious when I say just walking from the bedroom to the kitchen leaves me out of breath.
I haven’t eaten yet so I guess I’ll go heat something up.
I should put my clothes away from yesterday.
I have a few dishes (two bowls and a bunch of spoons) I need to wash up as well. I’m the spoon gremlin around here, if we are running out of spoons it’s probably because I have them.
Howdy from da cave. I had to go get a signature from a participant who’s trainin’ place is on the way to da cave so I just kept goin’. I promise to sign into irk and scan it in like I’m supposed to do. Meanwhile, I have chikin enchiladas in the oven. That along with refried beans will be dindin. It’s Mexican night at el rancho bear. OLÉ!
tl;dr…
News from the itching front. Saw the GI guy today, and I am having an ERCP (pretty much an endoscopy on 'roids) this Friday. He is confident he can get to my blocked bile duct given my gastric bypass, and can stent it open. Get that sumbitch to drain freely and my itching stops…
Two days away!!!
The work computers were switched out and it was the expected cluster. I spent 6 hours standing around doing nothing. At one point I was leaned up against the wall reading Prince Caspian and nobody said anything because with no computers there’s nothing I could do.
Busy working on stuff for craft fairs.
