The Repurposed MMP

Hope that takes care of it all BBBobbio.

No update from MOOOOOOM yet. She said today would be a day at sea. Maybe she led a mutiny and is now a pirate captain. ARRRRRRRRR!!!

Hardee’s has a fried bologna, aig, and Velveeta bizkit. I am torn between bein’ horrified and wantin’ one.

Oh my G-d, they’ve struck an iceberg!
:frowning:

Day off from irk, do have an evening class. Slept in, made sure I’m current on homework/reading (OK, I could go ahead and do a couple of things more today, but I’ve decided to pend those until I’m not dealing with Nyquil fog, since they’re not due for another few days), finished up a case in Criminal Case and am doing my best to have the self-control to not start the next one until I get home tonight.

I do feel sorry for one of my profs. She apparently pretty much got bombarded by students checking their grades-to-date and panicking over lack of attendance points from last week (I was one of the worriers, I confess), and sent out an e-mail to all students in the class explaining that she’s still doing last week’s grades and there’s nothing wrong that she knows of.

Biggest ulcer today other than “where are my attendance points?” is getting iTunes synced between the XP desktop and the 8.1 laptop. Must try to remember what I was using on the Vista laptop (current one’s predecessor) to achieve that, since iTunes itself is being stubbornly stupid on that point.

Amazon’s Kindle for PC crashed. Re-install, run once, crash. Re-install, run once, crash. Grrrrrrrrr!

I wouldn’t put it past her.

That is nastier than nasty.

Worked, came home. Did Ancho Paprika chicken with smoky rice. Watching X-Men 1st class.

Hope you feel better, sari, and

Hope they get you stented soon, BBBobbio.

Spaz, told you about upgrades!

. I send and receive faxes at irk. We even charge some customers. Sometimes a fax is quicker than scan at my irk place.

How does one do the nested quotes? Please and Thank you.

Hubby is away so for a week. Lovin it. Having an absolute and diet 7-up in celebration.

Does sound horrible but I would eat one. Alas, no Hardee’s here. I live closer to Cuba than a Walmart.

Swampy - I would eat that! Go for it (no Hardee’s here, I must live vicariously).

Bobbio - good luck on the stent.

Sari - exciting attic adventures await - you will find treasure, and do that PBS show, and get an awesome appraisal, and be rich! Totally worth moving a closet! (Or maybe Spidey can send some minions to help)

You lucky son of a gun!

Hope the stent cures your itch, bobbio.

I didn’t have to buy beer tonight! We ladies bowled on one lane and the guys on the next one (school has begun, smaller crowd) and we beat them. I rolled a 134 and a 152.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 74 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 91 and maybe rain. Or not. Seriously, the weather PTB are all willy-nilly with today’s forecast. We did have a storm overnight. I woke up to go pee and heard it, but went right back to sleep.

Sunny I want to, so luckily for me the only Hardee’s in town is in the total opposite direction from irk. Then again, if I happen to be headed over to the east forty some mornin’ I could pass right by Hardee’s…

Red a bowlin’ victory for me would be if I had less than ten gutter balls in a game.

Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, alas and alack irk purtification must commence. Le Sigh.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Blurf. :scratch, scratch, scratch:

Blurf.

Up and caffeinated. Working tonight in da Hood.

: sends scratchy thoughts to BBBobbio :

red, my high score in bowling is 106. Congrats on the free beer.

Being able to swap my golf and bowling scores would be a vast improvement to both sports.

doggioand bobbio, I’ll bowl ya for beer.

Happy Thorsday!

It’s a sunny 77 degrees here in the armpit with a projected high of 85.
Once again I am listening to the sounds of the cicadas and the crickets. It’s very wet outside still so there is a bit of a musty smell coming in my window.

The agenda for today includes irk irk irk, especially since this week has been slow. I don’t get paid for the hours I irk, I get paid by the number and types of calls I take and how well I solve problems.
I have to go back to cvs to get the rest of my pills, they didn’t have enough to fill my scrip.

Which brings me to
one of my challenges after I move it to clean up my language. I know there is no sense in trying to do it while I’m living here.
Yesterday I had to get out of line at cvs and wait for my other scrip to be filled, the doctor had not called it on but I had a paper one. I sat in the parking lot for a bit and then got back in line for the drive thru. Unfortunately, I got behind a very loud rumbling car which was starting to irritate me a little, just one of those low grade irritations. As we got closer to the window you get more closed in by the concrete walls so the rumbling starts to echo a little.
Anyway, I don’t know what the dudes problem was but he pulled up to the window and the next thing I know he is flooring it, squealing his wheels and skidding from side to side. Then he popped forward, slammed on the brakes and did it again.

Well that is all it took, auto response, left middle finger out the window and expletives are pouring out of my mouth.
The girl working the window was laughing when she assured me that he did hear me, I had no idea I was so loud.

I could probably use some chill pills too.

Sunny I wish I could find an attic full of treasures but this one is pretty well cleaned out. When I bought an old farm house in the city I found lots of stuff in the attic, but nothing of real value.
What was interesting in that house though, when I first moved in, everyday when I came home from work I’d find some kind of toy in the middle of the living room floor. A little doll, a hot wheels car, just little things. I thought maybe my dogs or cats were finding them and bringing them out.
Then one day I walked in the door and saw little wet footprints left by a child going across my living room floor. That made me stop in my tracks, as I watched them slowly fade away.
I was never scared in that house though, from the moment I walked into it I thought this is home. Loved the house, hated the neighborhood, otherwise I’d still be living there.

Good morning all. Not much going on over here. Big thunderboomer around 1 AM this morning, with lots of rain. But it was all gone when I left for work.

We do have the beginnings of an ant infestation at home. I guess it’s time to bite the bullet and do the foam insulation/sealing in the crawlspace under the house.

That will also make our termite inspectors happy - Orkin is threatening to drop us if we don’t re-moisture proof that area. They were kind enough to send a salesman to our house to offer a deal of $5000 to do the work themselves (instead of the normal inspector.) So my wife sent an email to the corporate office of Orkin to ask if they routinely tried to extort business from 30-year customers, or are we just special that way. Still waiting to hear back on that one.
