Unless there’s an astonishing upset, I think we have our Oscar winners here.

I forgot Melissa Leo was even nominated for her role in The Fighter. And I just realized that she’s the same actress that played Toni in Treme and Kay Howard in Homicide Life on the Street.

So far the only nominated movie I haven’t seen yet is True Grit, so I don’t know how Steinfeld performed. Otherwise Leo was better than everyone else.

While I’m disappointed Hawks lost, I think Bale probably did the best job in that category. Hawks didn’t have the much screen time - only three or four scenes in the whole movie. Bale played a great character throughout the whole movie.
