The Road Trip MMP

So now my sisters finally get around to texting about Christmas plans. I haven’t texted them back yet. The Irish didn’t get home till late last night so I didn’t get a chance to talk to them.

Let’s just say that I cross a bridge in Memphis. And I stop in your neck of the woods to visit a cousin when I drive to Texas.

My dad called last night to tell me that my Aunt Marilyn passed. While it wasn’t unexpected, I’m sad. She was always the one who remembered your birthday with a card, sent postcards when she was on vacation and was a really sweet lady. And swampy, she was the queen of cherry delight. :stuck_out_tongue: I worry about her twin. At 80 years old, they still dressed alike on a regular basis. I think it would be a different kind of lonesome to lose someone with whom you came into the world. The same weather that cancelled the trip north for the holidays will keep me from attending her funeral. :frowning:

I’m attempting to get some stuff wrapped up since I pretty much have the place to myself next week and won’t always have the appropriate leadership to sign off on stuff.

Lunch has been ingested and we’re home. Ziva is hiding from the noisy new dog. I was going to drive thru the car wash, but it was closed. I suppose I can drive into Charlotte Hall and wash the car there. Probably will - it’s got de-icer residue all over it.

Noisy new dog?
Yesterday we successfully traded in the Odyssey van for a Suburban 1500. Despite being a relatively pain free process (their numbers and our numbers agreed, no financing), it still took almost 4 hours. That was the day pretty much.:smack:

It turns out that the new medication that my neurologist was trying for me has some side effects that are not so great: high anxiety/stress, and high blood pressure. I’m going to have to skip this one and move onto something else I think. It was making me feel like I had drunk a pot of coffee and my blood pressure looked similar. :frowning:

Tomorrow we go to CA for family Christmas. Today shall be laundry and packing. Huzzah!

Sari - how about Lynx for your kitty? He doesn’t have the right ears, but he’s got beautiful coloring. He’s also quite the hunter.

**Sunny **- daughter’s psycho pug… He’ll be here till next Weds when the all go back to FL.

MOOOM been meaning to ask about Kozmo with his cancer scare. I hope it was excised and he is fine?

Still at irk. Long day.

Wait, wait. Someone named a pug “Sunny”?

**Butters **- he’s cancer-free and daughter says you can hardly see where they removed the tumor.

They just left for BF’s house - I won’t be seeing then till Sunday at my bro’s house.

Chickie soup for supper, chillage for the rest of the day.

Howdy Y’all! I got a chance to get out and come to the liberry so I took said chance. I had a good day with mom. She needs assistance in gettin’ to the bathroom but not once she’s in the bathroom Thank Og! I cooked and she pronounced it good. High Praise! Sis and niece (sis’s daughter) went to Columbus for sis’s eye appointment and afterwards got to have a nice N.O.L. and do some shoppin’. I’m glad for that. Poor sis has a ten hour irk shift on Sattidy. Thus I shall be on mom duty as well as prep for Christmas dindin duty Sattidy. Oh well, it will keep me off the streets and outta trouble.

{{{BigKitty}}} sometimes family is who we choose rather than what we’re born with.

Everyone else, safe travels if you travel, and have a good holiday or whatever you’re havin’. I’ll be back at some point next week.

Happy Whatevs Y’ALL!!!

Great news about your Grandpuppy Mmmoooommmm.

Just got home. Something is wrong with one of my toes. It’s the one next to the big toe. It is all swollen, hurting and purple. I don’t remember doing anything to bruise/break it. Tis a real mystery.

Hubby is having those shots in his neck at the horsepistol in the morning and asked me to go since he needs someone to drive him home. I really need to be at irk but staff have assured me they will be OK so I will deal with hubby. I hope the shots are successful. So my long weekend starts now. I really need a break.

Swampy you are a good son.

Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays all.

I went out and bought foods for Christmas Eve and Christmas day dinner. I also bought beer(holiday spirit and all that. )

FCM ,glad Kozmo is doing OK. And Ziva will survive.

Cozmo may not survive. He hiked his leg on my bedspread. We are not amused…

Pride goeth before a fall.

I must admit to skimming fast on a drive-by. I volunteered for some more extra time at work. My short experience with Uncle Sugar during ROTC should have taught me the folly of that particular action. :smack:

skims and waves

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work today. Hockey tonight.

: waves back at Pearl :

Cozmo added to his sins. He doesn’t like to sleep alone. He howled and scratched and whined till **FCD **went out to the living room. Poor guy hardly got any sleep. I’ll take Cozmo duty tonight. Our fault for asking daughter to bring him along, knowing he’d have to stay with us.

Anyway, I’s tahred this morning. TGIF.

And Happy Firday, I guess.

This week has been one disaster after another and I’m mad and depressed and in no fit state to talk to people, but I didn’t want y’all to think I’d forgotten about you. Merry everything! I’ll be in the corner muttering to myself.

Answering too? Iffn so you’re cra-cra (but that may be a requirement of being a Mumper)
Changing voices when you answer? Then you is possessed!
I’m as mad a a possessed demon! I’ve finally reached the age where infirmities are starting to set in. Went to the eye dr this morning. I’m already back home having never made it out of the reception area.
They have some online portal they want you to use before coming in. I tried to use it last night & it didn’t look like much; however, I noticed my address was wrong - they added a digit to the # portion. I tried multiple times to change it & save it but it wouldn’t take. When I stated there wasn’t much too it, she said there’s some box I needed to check to take a questionnaire. Either whatever bug that was preventing me from updating my info was preventing me from seeing that box or that box is too small & noticeable for SOMEONE WHO NEEDS GLASSES! :smack:
This morning the receptionist resets my info & tells me to start again. She has a hard time understanding why I want to do this at home & what a password keeper is. Then she is unable to find any insurance info for me despite having my card in her hand. They want $160 to proceed & then I can try to have reimbursed. I state my intention to want to cxl the appointment, come home, call the # on the back of the card - yup, I not only have current, active medical insurance, but there’s vision under that. Sorry, but I don’t have a warm & fuzzy about going back to them again & now I want to find a new dr with availability in the last week of the year.

I hope next week will be better. hugs
