why did it say @ ? it was supposed to be “a n d”
As for Lost Cause - I’m referring to a different version. It seems that there was a performance video, and one where a robot falls to the ground. The robot one is pretty good, too.
did anyone see the version of THE SCIENTIST video I described or did I mix up two videos? I know I saw one where a man is rushed into the hospital on a gurney & then where a man is praying at some candles. Did I see that & then see The Scientist later & then mix up the two?
well, I watched THE SCIENTIST video yesterday & it was totally like ILikeMadonna described it & nothing like I described it- I am convinced I confused it with another video- NOW THE QUESTION IS WTF IS THE VIDEO I DESCRIBED?!?!?
i will second Runaway train by Soul Asylum, with all the runaway kids and the young girl crying, so sad
How about Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton? very sad.
Also several U2 songs have very dark themes.
Exit about someone about to blow his brains out.
Running to Stand Still about heroin addiction.
Sunday Bloody about the violence in Northern Ireland.
Silver and Gold about South Africa.
Pride (in the Name of Love) about the assissination of Martin Luther King Jr.
Mothers of the Disappeared about the political killings in Argentina.
Bad and With or Without You, both about desperation in matters of the heart.
This may sound bizzare, but “thankyou” Dido. In my whole life its the only music video I’ve ever cried in. When the construction workers stand on her flowers, it just tears me up.
For me it’s the video to “Everybody Hurts” from REM. The image of all those people getting out of their cars and just abandoning them in the middle of the highway is somehow very chilling to me.
It’s funny to me that the first couple posters picked mine.
Unbreak My Heart makes me cry every time. The song by itself will do it now, because I’ve seen the video a couple of times.
Johnny Cash’s Hurt reduces me to a crying mess every time I see it. It’s just so personal and touching. I can’t say enough for it… I’m looking forward to buying that CD.
I haven’t really seen The Scientist video, but is that the song they preformed at the VMA’s? I was kind of annoyed at the Clocks song by Coldplay that radio has played the heck out of, but when I heard them on the VMA’s I decided that I had to buy that CD too. The song they sang was SOOO touching.
Breezy- yes, that was the song the Scientist at the VMA
NOW WHAT ABOUT THE FRIGGIN VIDEO I SAW!!! WHAT SONG WAS IT!!! HELP ME!!! PLEASE!!!
“Everybody Hurts” makes Baby Jesus cry- in pure rage “KWITCHER DAMN WHINING, MICHAEL!!!”
