The strain and tension of a headlong rush to war and a plummeting economy don’t seem to have made him noticably more wrinkled or grey-haired than he was in 2000.

IMO, Bush bears a semblance to Creon in Antigone. But I should say something nice about Bush, since that’s the point of this thread, so. . .
President Bush is so mercifully free from the ravages of intelligence.

he seems to genuinely care for his family, and seems to have a good relationship w/his spouse, parents, siblings, and children.
He is very, very committed to his morality.
He strikes me, in this stage of his life, as a virtuous man. I may not agree with his politics, but his personal morality now (ignoring transgressions in the past and just war theory) can be looked on as an example.

The best thing about Bush is that he’s YOUR president and not ours.

He is at least the third-best president with his first name that this country has ever had. And at least the second-best with his first and last name.
And that puts him in select company.
