He is a pre-Millenial Dispensationalist.
The best thing I can say about you presidednt is that you could have elected a worst one… the current argentinian president
Wait, I thought of something I genuinely admire about him: his physical fitness. Evidently, in a * mano a mano * situation, he really could kick Saddam’s ass all the way around the block.
He seems like a genuinely happy guy.
Of course, I don’t understand why he’s so happy about what’s going on right now, but there you have it.
Maybe in a jogging contest. But I have a feeling that Saddam knows a few mano a mano combat tricks that George never picked up on the Yale Cheerleading Team.
He is my President.
I lived in Texas, where he is universally liked and respected. Why? He does what he says he is going to do. He does it with the best available knowlage.
He is smart enough to surround himself with knowlagable and intelligent people.
He is honest, and he does not try to appear to be better than any other American.
He has sacrificed his personal life to take on the massive weight of the presidency, in other words, he stepped up to the plate. He may miss the pitch once in a while, but when he nails it, he rams it right out of the park.
Duty is lighter than a feather and heavier than a moutain. Can anyone, not a career politician, really say that they could have done a better job than he has so far??? How many of you would give up YOUR anonymity and step up to the plate??? How many of us would give up our privacy and subject ourselves to the brutal glare of international Politics??? How many??? Lots of complainers, I see, but not many willing to back their words and beliefs with an attempt to become President themselves. Not too many people out there willing to put their money where their mouths and keyboards are eh?? We have a President who stands up for what he believes in, stands up and does what he says he is going to do, stands up from a moral and respectful point of view and makes the best decisions he can. I thank GOD for that!!!
So many of the problems we face today can be DIRECTLY tied to the previous Administration. Either through it’s actions, or it’s lack of action. Not ONCE has the President even mentioned this. Not because he doesn’t want to start a mudslinging fight, but because it isn’t the right thing to do. The right things to do are to make the best possible decisions with the information at hand. Deal with what you got on the plate you were given. He got a plate full of shit and hasn’t complained about it. He has DEALT with it. As Americans, we are unbelivable lucky to have him.
Frankly, we do not know all the information that the President has access to. Neither do many of the other world leaders unless HE gives it to them. I believe whole heartedly; based on a LOT of information from Middle East experts, published experts, and people on the ground; that our President IS and HAS been making the best decisions possible, based on the information that he has gotten. What more can you demand?? Could YOU do any better? That is the the what you should be comparing our President to. THAT is what you should be judging him against. Could YOU do any better??? If so, why the hell aren’t YOU running in 2004???
You WANT another moronic narcissistic asshole, more pre-occupied about polls than doing the right things??? Just vote for a Democrat. They seem have the lock on Irrelevant, vain, make everyone happy with speaches and do nothing of substance Political leadership.
IMHO.
Danae
Well, I s’pose there’s always one party-pooper hell bent on turning a perfectly good Bush pile-on into something resembling a debate.
:wally
Good times.
Well, at least Bush doesn’t have shit on the outside of his boots…
Well, at least Bush doesn’t have sh*t on the outside of his boots…
Excellent post…!
You hit submit… then thought "oh no, I should have said “sh*t” not “shit”! … but too late.
Or, for that matter, outside his ears.
He never double posts.
He’s dumb enough to not be bothered about his dumbness.
I am glad you have such wonderful opinions considering you are in Australia. Go bash your own leaders, you have lots to do there with our distracting yourself with OURS.
GW is a kind, sharing person. At least, he lets foreign dignitaries visiting his ranch ride around in his recreational vehicles.
“…he stepped up to the plate. He may miss the pitch once in a while, but when he nails it, he rams it right out of the park.”
Oh, and unlike Jose Canseco, we have no reason to believe he’s ever taken anabolic steroids.
Now, I’m no political scholar, but I don’t think we could have elected Eduardo Duhalde as our president.
I mean, he wasn’t even running, was he?
He doesn’t breath any more air than the rest of us.
By the by, kudos to Danae for a brilliant example of post-modernist, deconstructionist irony. Had me goin’ there for a while, till that part about being universally admired in Texas.
Really, very droll.
He overcame an alcohol problem. He has a strong marriage. He is cordial to everyone. He sent his kids to public school. He named the first black Secretary of State and has the highest ranking black woman of any administration.
