The initial set-up of the new SD People Pages is complete and ready to be viewed. However, there are a few caveats…
Geocities is having server connection problems tonight. Therefore I was unable to check every link from the dropdown menu on the home page to make sure they all work. In fact, because of the problems geocities is experiencing, many of them will appear not to work when they, in fact, should. I apologize if you have any trouble accessing the pages. If you do, please be patient until geocities can resolve their server problems.
Each person has their own, individual page. It was my hope that eventually people would want to add profile information or something of the sort to fill out the pages. At this time, however, all that’s there is a picture and forward/back arrows to move around so they look rather sparse.
Not everyone who emailed me a picture has been included yet, but everyone who sent a pic will be as soon as I get time to do the insertions.
All of you have lovely homes, offices, cars and yards. You’ve taken some awesome vacations and seen some beautiful sights. But I cut most of that stuff out of all the pictures in order to make them a more reasonable size for loading and to “zoom” in on the person in the pic rather than all that background. Long body shots were usually cut as well. If anyone is unhappy with how I “doctored” your picture, let me know and I’ll put it on there however you’d like (which will require re-emailing me your pic because once I fixed them up, I deleted the originals).
I did my best to remember how everyone actually writes their usernames here. For instance, FreakFreely and WhoaNellie have no spaces, but Reservoir Dog and John Corrado do. If I got anyone’s names wrong and you’d like them corrected, please let me know. I didn’t have time to search all of SD to find everyone that I didn’t know.
That’s all. I hope you enjoy the pages. Take a peek at http://www.geocities.com/sdpeoplepages
