What, after last night’s performance you don’t want to trade a top-3 WR for the Trung? I am shocked. Shocked I say, shocked.
Dave, that’s my older son’s team, and he is closer to you in the US at this time. He recently moved to Luray, VA to be with his girlfriend, and he doesn’t have net access there until this weekend, when he takes his computer there. I’ll have him use my system- he is coming up for his birthday party on Sunday. You should have an answer by then.
Trung looked good last night, but Betts is coming along nicely. Curtis Martin seemed to be a non-factor; the line wasn’t blocking well for him.
WL, this is fascinating. Please, continue.
To hell with the winners, and the better losers- I’m the King of Last Place! Tremble before my majesty.
Who’s Donovan McNabb, again?
By the way, woohoo for me! I’m doing well in the scramble league, just a few points from first, won and scored the second highest points in this league, and am doing respectably well in the Pick’em leagues. The only problem is that I lost in the only money leageue that I’m in.
But the Bucs kicked Philly’s ass, so who cares, right?
Much more comfortable with this weeks outcomes than last. But I request a bit of fantasy advice for money league. First of all, what’s the deal with Travis Henry. This guy was my boy last year as I stole him in the 5th round, and he is tearing shit up with 5 TDs in two games. But his YPC are horrific. Has anyone seen this guy play this season? I’m getting a bit worried.
He he he. Looks good going into tonight.
bababooey you should just trade him to me before its too late!
It just took the failure of one player and the lack of running backs to put me in the best position in the league- LAST.
I don’t think there are three players on my team worth keeping. Who wants to trade me any running back (who will proceed to get hurt or make horrible mistakes) for one of my QBs or WRs (who are guaranteed to improve once they leave my team?)
Does anyone read my posts when I am not bitching at someone else in the thread?
No.
I dunno, McNabb, Gonzalez and TO sound like a pretty good three, even if the first two have sucked so far this year.
A bit of friendly advice - you’ve got to do somthing at RB, trading for a RB is one idea. But also, if I were you I’d drop some combination of your second kicker, TE, DEF and second backup WR and take a few fliers on RBs off the free agent pool. Hopefully one of them will come through.
The friendly advice is sound, but I’ve been looking at the RB free agent list, and it’s a bunch of longshots. I have to hope for significant RB injuries to have a chance at a premier RB.
I did miss the boat on the draft- my subsequent drafts have been much better. I’ll be 3-1 with my other two teams after this week; both have Priest Holmes anchoring the lineup. The shocker is McNabb letting me down, and one WR and a TE are not going to save the team.
If I don’t enjoy being in last place, it will just piss me off. I have been trying my best with what I have, and I fear as things are it’s just not good enough.
Big ol’ bump to get this back into view. Some things for discussion:
When do we have to declare our keepers?
What happens with draft order next year?
