It must take some time for the rosters to appear; I submitted the draft a while ago. How long does it take for them to apply the draft as I entered it using their Java applet.

The lost player was just someone who signed up at the last minute from Yahoo. He didn’t get back to me in time, so Dave has the team.
It’s not as bad as it seems- three of the other players are my family (wife and two sons, 20 and 15 yrs. old) and two more are friends. Half of us are serious Steeler fans. No one will abuse you from this bunch. The last guy is a cow-orker from my wife’s job; I don’t know him personally, but he drafted heavily from KC (he’s originally from MO.)
Steelerphan, there’s two steps you need to take when entering the rosters. Go back into the Commissioner’s Tools - there should be “Begin Season” button that’ll fire 'em all in there. Make sure all your other variables are set, i.e. starting roster positions, draft order (which affects WW priority), etc.

Funny you ask Dave, I had a look at that this morning, first Dip thread I’ve opened in weeks… I really considered it until I had a look and saw how hopeless the position is. 
But yeah, if you’re hard up for a player I can spare the time for a mercy position. I think. How long are turn deadlines? I wouldn’t be able to get any orders in until Thursday at the earliest.
Here’s how the scoring in that league works (I’ve finally figured it out after three years):
For RBs and QBs
TD Runs:
1-4 yards = 3 points
5-9 yards = 4 points
10-14 yards = 5 points
15-19 yards = 6 points
20+ yards = 7 points
TD Receptions:
1-9 yards = 3 points
10-19 yards = 4 points
20-29 yards = 5 points
30-39 yards = 6 points
40+ yards = 7 points
For Wide Receivers
TD Runs:
1-4 yards = 3 points
5-9 yards = 4 points
10-14 yards = 5 points
15-19 yards = 6 points
20+ yards = 7 points

The rushing aspect helps to explain a couple of things, like why there is a premium on mobile QBs (McNabb, Culpepper, Vick, Garcia and McNair)
Yardage is not strongly rewarded. Rushing/receiving yards receive 1 point at 50 yards and an extra point for every 25 yards after that. For passing yards, QBs get:
Less than 149 yards = -2
From 150-249 yards = 0
From 250-299 yards = 2
From 300-349 yards = 3
From 350-399 yards = 4
From 400-449 yards = 5
and so on, with an extra point for every 50 yards.
Points are subtracted (-1) for turnovers, (-2) for interceptions thrown for touchdowns.
The starting lineups are in for next week, and everyone so far is starting two RBs and two Receivers (including tight ends). i think we might well do better with three WRs in our lineup.

Shibb, that’s a very unique system. I bet it makes things pretty interesting. It doesn’t favor WRs quite as much as I initially thought… but it certainly does favor Barber over Martin by quite a bit. Sorry to harp on that
When do our lineups need to be set? I have a pending trade that should clear tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully we can adjust lineups for the Sunday games until Sunday noon-ish.

It actually make for very low scoring. We ended up over .500 last season, and I doubt that we averaged more than 20 points per week, and our high was probably 38. Did I mention that field goals are only 2 points up to 40 yards, then 3 for 40-54, 4 for longer than 54 (which is just about never), negative for misses and blocks?
Aside: you should join the Dip game, there are some possibilities.
You can adjust your lineup until gametime. If you have Ramsey starting tonight, he’ll lock in place (same goes for if he’s on the bench). If you have an open RB slot you’re deciding on between Pittman and Buckhalter on Monday night, you’ll have until gametime to decide.
Also, I’ll push through all of the current pending trades tomorrow afternoon, so you can have your lineup set by then. All trades/waiver requests/etc. are processed by Yahoo midnight PDT.
I just realized that the opening is in 1099. I think I have to take the position if for that reason only.
Go ahead and make the announcement, Dave – hopefully people will send me some letters so I don’t have to do as much work tonight during commercials.

Are you sure, mb? You’re already starting Moss, Taylor, and Muhammed at WR… with Reggie Wayne at flex this week? With only Shaw and Gilmore in reserve, unless you plan to hang onto Taylor Jacobs. I assume you have some pickups in mind, but trading away Moss leaves you with Wayne as your #3 starter? Holmes and Green are a sick pair of stud RBs, but I’d say you can ill afford to trade away much more from your WRs…
But you can have Trung for him if you’d like.
