I’m all over it, Shibb. And the best part about it is that I’m not in the class yet. The online registration was goofed up last night, when there was an opening in the class. Now that the glitch is fixed and I’m allowed to register, the class is closed.
So I have to kiss up to my professor the same day I need to ditch 10 minutes into it.

The first 2 or 3 rounds should be a breeze to predraft. It’s the middle rounds that are important anyway.

pretty sure u can enter at any time during the draft. just pre draft, get there as fast as you can, and we will try and stall. i’m sure WL will take all the alotted time for his picks anyway, hehe.
I always do. Yeah, you can enter the draft at any time. Remember last year when I overslept and didn’t show up until like the 14th round, bitching and whining about my crappy computer-selected team? You too can be that cool.

I posted a message in that thread that we should have our playoffs either start on week 14 or 15, and that the championship game should be in week 16. It makes good sense ( to me, at least ) with 14 teams that after you play everyone once, the playoffs should start.
Anyone agree/disagree?
Week 14 is too early - 15/16 sounds good to me for playoffs.
I’d vote playoffs in 15 and 16. We’d have to double up on one team you play twice, but that’s alright.

I just posted another post on the league board regarding an 8 team playoff. Since the league is so big, it would help increase activity later in the season for the teams not doing so well. Of course, that’s why it’s a keeper league - we have people committed to full seasons.
But Week 14,15 and 16 playoff would have everyone play each other once, and then go into the playoffs.
That was my original thought, everyone plays each other one time, and then 8 teams into a single elim playoffs. I like the idea, but either way is not a big deal to me.

Here’s one half-hearted vote against 8 team playoffs… having over half the league make the playoffs sounds so NBA to me. I’d prefer just 4 teams to make the regular season more meaningful.
But, if there’s strong support for 8 team playoffs, I’ll go along quietly. Even without duct tape.
Yeah, let’s just go with a 4 team playoff, since it is a keeper league so there’s at least always hope for next year. The 13-week season and 3-week playoff fits so neatly that I almost vote for it on principle, but 8 teams is just too many.

WL: 4 team playoff
Wilson: 4 team playoff
Hamlet: 4 of one, 8 of the other (doesn’t care)
Munch: 8 team playoff
2 to 1

Also, here’s something that came up on my draft on Sunday: how do we determine next year’s draft order? We decided earlier that the first person gets to choose his spot, etc. But who’d the first person? Playoff champ, or regular season champ? For my money league, the money went to the playoff champ, and first draft order went to regular season champ. But there’s no money here.
Thoughts (we have all season to worry about this one)?

A more important question for me is: how much time for each pick? 198 selections starting at 9.30 could go WELL into the night. I vote for 90 secs or 2 mins, tops.
