THe Search for Spock---Or more Spock Questions

DRY:

I’m almost positive my recollection is the correct one. I’m a pathetic geek and I have a good memory for such things.

But I won’t rule out the possibility I’m pulling a Libertarian on this one. I haven’t seen the episode in question in years and years.

I loved her in My Cousin Vinny! Who would have though that Vulcan women could be such hot babes!

I recall reading a (probably non-canon) Star Trek novel entitled Ishmael many years ago. Spock was lost on Earth in the 1800’s with amnesia, being pursued by Klingons. Inevitably, he set in motion the events that led to Amanda’s birth, and hence his own. This was revealed when someone (Kirk, I think) accessed Spock’s personnel file. The file also showed Spock’s family name: “Sgn T’gai”. Looks hard to pronounce to me.

Take this with a large grain of salt, of course.

Oops, sorry Captain Amazing.

And Ishmael was a good novel. I didn’t even know when I read it that it was basically fanfic: Star Trek meets Here Come the Brides. That is, until I saw the show, starring guess who, Mark Lenard.
