The sexiness of female names

Josephine
Imogene
Petra
Zoe
Esme
Audra
Hilarion ( yes it is a real name.)
Philinda
Margeret ( one of my favorite names)

I’ve decided that I’m also quite fond of

Rhonda
Giselle
(though I tend to think of the two above as sexy in kind of a little bit dirty sorta way)

Becky
Meg and/or Megan
Teresa (preferably without an ‘h’, but with if need be)
Karen

Shirley Ujest,
Hilarion?
Surely, you jest.

Natalia - Sexy and sleek
Claire - Short and classy
Despina - One of my best friends is named this (she’s Greek) and has the sort of dark charm you’d expect. Love it.

Andrea
Erin
Shannon
Laverne

Oops. I forgot that I like Saffron, though not because of Mellow Yellow.

Hey, since when is Hilarion a female name? I’m sure St. Hilarion of Palestine or St. Hilary of Poitiers would have been surprised to hear that, not to mention the thousands of Orthodox men who have borne that name through the centuries.

Without a doubt, the sexiest name I ever heard is Genvièv.

I never saw my name, boy am I hurt.

I like the name Serena.

Also Constella, though I don’t know if it’s a real name.

Stella and Celeste (or Céleste) are nice, too. Yes, I am ALL ABOUT names that relate to the sky. Hee!

And I will agree with Devyn, Marina and Samantha. I always wanted to be named Samantha when I was little.

My name (Lynn) wasn’t mentioned! I am offended. (No, I’m not really!)

Careful there, big fella… my daughter’s name is Maia. I suppose I could ruin it for you by telling you that she’s 10, but I’n not that mean.

My picks:
Samantha
Heather
Sara (only with no H on the end)

I think Ringo is right that personal experience definitely colors this topic.

Ahhh, but I think Betsey is a very sexy name. My personal favorite is Amy and only one person mentioned it.

Thanks to that one person though.

I like “Kieras”

Although Brandy isn’t bad. I have lived with it this long.

I’ll second the English spelling of Genevieve, even though I have no idea if my spelling is correct. :smack:

Is Consuela a real name?

I could second Amy. To me, it’s not so much sexual as just friendly. Amy, Amanda, Mandy.

I am amazed that my (real) name is mentioned … I’ve always hated that name - unless spoken by a man with an American accent for some reason

Which name is yours? Maybe you can get some dopers to record is in a WAV file and mail it to you.

My mother gave me my name because she heard Henry Fonda say it in a movie and thought it was terribly sexy.

Never considered for a minute that Henry Fonda was never going to actually address me.

Is it Genevieve?

Is it Consuela?

I cannot stand to hear my real first name spoken unless by a New Englander or French Canadian. Because that’s the way my father pronounces it.

I do have a middle name, but who here honestly thinks May is sexy??

BTW in my line of work, you see a lot of names. The following ones are the ones I thought were attractive:

Shaunteah (prounounced shawn-tay)
Angely
Charisma
Devin
Dulce

I know I’ve forgotten some

NOT SEXY, DOWNRIGHT UGLY:
Ti-Me
Qonice
Lynnetzie

Bibliocat, I think the name Betsey or Betsy is WAY cute. That’s what I wanted my name to be when I was a young girl!!
