I didn’t really care for the Homer dieting plot, but thought Bart & Lisa killing Martin was pretty funny. We seem to be seeing alot of dark Lisa this season. The scene where Homer called his roast was just plain weird. I missed the resolution of Homer’s diet.
I enjoyed the Colombo Parody. The Homer diet plot felt like filler.
Homer sneaks into a Pudding Restaurant and as he is preparing to consume a giant bowl, he is confronted by the sleazy TV guy and then Marge. OF course in the end Marge forgives him.
They actually allowed some continuity in this show. They mentioned Lisa dating Nelson in the past.
Enjoyed this one, one of the better Simpsons episodes of the season. Didn’t much care for the Colombo parallels, but overall not too bad. I laughed a bit.
I hadn’t seen tonight’s Family Guy before, although it apparently aired in January. Absolutely hilarious; one of the better Family Guys.
Did Lisa allude to giving Nelson some head? I was busy doing my daughter’s hair, and thought I heard that, but I’m not sure…
She talked about how she didn’t let him set off a cherry bomb in her Malibu Stacy doll when they were dating, but she would now.

For some reason, this episode felt a lot like a classic-era Simpsons to me. Bart and Lisa’s reactions to their apparent murder were fun to watch, and Homer making out with flan was disturbing, hilarious, and typical Homer. For some reason, I loved the NBC Mystery Movie parody at the end.
Thanks. I had it all mixed up somehow… I heard the part about cherry bomb, Malibu Stacy doll…somehow I still got the idea that she said something about her mouth, and I thought, “no way”. And, sure enough, no way.
I loved Maggie playing online poker while no one was watching. The ongoing “Maggie is actually superhuman” gag is quite entertaining.
Shawarma. ([Homer] ‘Mmm… Lamb…’ [/Homer])
It’s not one of the shows mentioned in the thread title, but I just had to document somewhere that the air guitar guy in last night’s “Unhitched” has to be the worst air guitarist I’ve ever seen. That guy’s technique was all over the place and his chord changes looked more like someone stuttering in ASL. If that’s the producer’s idea of a master air guitarist, I definitely need to invite them over to my house sometime.
What?
The Martin story was a Prince (ha-ha!), but the Simpsons really need to stay away from the reality show genre–all of those storylines, whether they’re the A- or B-plots, are always always duds.
My new favorite Family Guy bit is the “Peter Speaking Italian” riff in the deli…
Coming from a VERY Italian family, I’m never sure whether I should be offended or laugh hysterically.
The hysterics win every time.

Peter:** (flailing his hands): Bipiddy bopiddy boobiddy!
**Deli Guy: ** (confused) Che cosa?!
See the bit here if you missed it: Bippiddy boppiddy boobiddy!
Oh, I thought he said “Mmm…flan.” That makes it even more disturbing.
In the Simpsons ep, I liked Marge’s comment: “I didn’t used to mind it when Homer would lock the bathroom door and snack off.”
