I’m getting a lot of snowmen in the spin. But I have all of them and you can’t sell them.
Got my second $1000 prize last night.
Urge to kill…rising…
I got that ice god sculpture last night, which gives a 2.25% income bonus.
Unfortunately, I can’t seem to open up my program today. Probably because the game can’t handle the flood of pop-up boxes, thumbs ups, building icons, and falling gift bags all happening at the same time. Which reminds me, despite the enjoyment I’ve gotten from the game, that EA is still a garbage company.
This appears to still he working, as I now have 3 handshakes above my squidport. (Thanks all!)
Keep the tiles coming! I am also looking for folks that have tiles floating above their squidport to return the favor. I’ve found about 5 in my sweep through my friends list.
I honestly don’t think this is a broken feature, but rather something EA put in there for players to discover. No way were people going to be excited about building the boardwalk out if it took about a year if you actually played it exactly (tile is created, you go in and click on the tile, place it and immediately start another tile). Too damn long and too expensive.
I have heard there is an upper limit to the handshakes, but i don’t know if this is true. What I plan on doing is taking a few tiles each day as long as folks continue to give me a handshake, and that will work out just fine.
No idea what the other tricks are yet (channel 6, etc) but as soon as I build my channel 6 I’m sure I’ll chase that info down.
I am so far behind. I just got Lisa’s task to chase down turkeys. So, for a thanksgiving task, I have Lisa working for those. What a pain.
I still cannot seek out a friend and add him/her, but I can accept friends. I have searched and have not yet found this complaint anywhere else, so I may be unique. I’ve tried rebooting, and i have everything up-to-date, and nothing has changed. Very odd glitch (and frustrating, to boot).
Here’s a real question:
Is there an easy way to log out? I cannot find any way to log out except to shut down my iPad and re-start it. There has to be an easier way, and yet I don’t see it. When I tap the icon to start the tame, it already has me logged in and doesn’t permit me to log out, and I haven’t found another logout feature anywhere.
Any ideas?
Click on the go to other Springfields button (Bart and Milhouse bromance).
Click on the red-hurricane-plus button
click on “Profile” in the sidebar
Under your avatar picture click “log out”
It doesn’t take a year unless for some reason you want to fill every available boardwalk tile. You can have enough squares to place all of the Squidport quest-required buildings in a couple of weeks; after that it’s just build to your own desires. The “year” thing is just so that people who want to keep building it can; it’s meant to give you the ability to keep doing it for a year, not requiring you to – sort of like all that empty space around KrustyLand and Springfield itself; it’s not necessary to fill it to complete the quests, it’s there for future expansion.
This is so true…
My Squidport looks fine to me, and I still have 30+ Unused tiles in my inventory.
Thank you!
The first time I tried this, I didn’t see the log out text under my avatar… It’s in a light gray color, and I missed it the first time. I feel empowered! No longer do I need to shut down and reboot the iPad.
Ah. I thought (incorrectly, it appears) that building out the boardwalk was just another task that needed to be complete.
Still, i would like to collect the tiles even if I don’t actually build out the boardwalk. While I can get the tiles with a bit less stress, I might as well get them now.
Just as an update, my Kindle Fire keeps crashing on jackdavinci’s “jonjackturtl” Springfield (I think he’s simply got too many things in his Springfield for my tablet to handle it). Anyone else having crashing problems on specific friends?
As of this afternoon, I can’t log into my own Springfield, even after a tablet reboot. I’d be interested in knowing if anyone can see mine, or if it’s just too cluttered.
A quick look at the logs shows a NULL dereference Segmentation fault rather than the usual out of memory error, so this may be something they’ll have to fix in an update.
Is your tree on your Squidport by any chance?
Were you able to get to it? I am able to see it just fine.
My games are constantly crashing. It’s been like that for the last few weeks. Before the Xmas update, it was maybe once a game, but now it’s 3 or 4. I haven’t noticed anything that will set it off; it happens when I’m trying to log on, when I’m in the middle of cleaning the town up, after it’s clean and I’m sending characters on tasks, when I go to other towns, when I’m in Krustyland… When it was once each time I played, it was a mild annoyance; now it’s getting frustrating.
I just opened the game and it just downloaded another 20 MB or so of updates. I haven’t had any crashing problems other than some very reproducible ones for a couple friends (jackdavinci and ChrisT1701, who I don’t see in the list.)
Yes. Out over the water, because all of the presents bobbing around amuses me.
While the odds might be the same in the programming, by this point in Halloween I had found probably half a dozen donuts. I’ve still found zero coins. So I might be a statistical outlier, but I really think the odds aren’t the same or they’re skewed in a way that is favorable to some more than others.
I found out today that if you graffiti in other towns, you still get gift cards. It was super frustrating going to towns where there was nothing else to tap and having to go in and out of a town just to tape the Simpson house. If you clean up graffiti in another town, no gift cards.
I got 10 donuts in a mystery box today, so yay! Better than coins.
I’ve heard a bunch of different things about what we might get on Christmas, so I don’t know what to believe. Plus there are Gil rumors too.
I had mine there and my game kept crashing on startup. I read a suggestion to download a program called Bluestacks, which lets you play Android apps on your PC, so I tried that and it worked. I’ll have to check tomorrow after I’ve collected gift bags all night, but I moved my tree off my port and got it working again on my Kindle.
Good lord. At one point I had almost 500k saved up and I was earning between 60 and 80k a day. My bank now sits at a grand total of 63 dollars. Shit’s expensive, yo.
All is right with the world.
I won the Mr. Plow jacket.
It was my first blind spin… I turned off the sound, spun the wheel and looked away. Came back, and i had won the jacket.
Can’t wait to try the no-look method the next time the track opens up.
What in the world have you been buying?
Escalator to nowhere and Popsicle stick skyscrapers?
I am envious of your daily cash flow. (Drool)
Building from tasks. The one that finally did me in was the Springfield Hospital. At 65.5k, I got wiped out building it. It’s a level 24, and I’m at 31, so I imagine its going to be rough going from here on out in the building department, even with my income level.
