The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Does the christmas tree stack? Should I leave it floating? How about the token?

Yorkke, i will hit your moonshine when I go into your town. If you would do the same for me, I’d appreciate it. Also the Squid-Port tile. My tree is right next to Squidpprt, so you don’t have to to hunt for the tile. I will be moving my Cletus farm there this afternoon.

I had no idea about making extra cash with the farm, so I’m psyched about that. i am permanently cash-strapped.
Does the farm trick work for all crops, or just moonshine? And what is the payoff? Every handshake gives you the amount of a moonshine crop? That would be great if you could get a few handshakes per day.

I tapped your Squid-Port tile, but I had no idea about the crop until just now. I will take care of at least one of these if not both tomorrow, depending on where I am with the gift cards. I have made it a policy to tag everyones SP tile as long as I see that they’ve done mine.

I also agree that you should leave at least 2 handshakes up. I found out the hard way that if you mistakenly touch the handshake while moving to another part of the screen, you are starting over with your tiles. I’m sure this is the same thing with the moonshine crop or the channel 6 thing, keeping a buffer of at least two is essential…

I can’t remember who it was, but today I went to someone’s town to drop gift bags, and they were maxed out on gift bags, and I couldn’t leave any. So, if you are there and have a few seconds, i’d tap on a few bags every now and then to keep your number down.

I wish I could remember whose town it was, but it was definitely someone out here. I was flipping through the towns so quickly. I forgot who it was. But my guess is when they find out, they will leave a note of warning out here. I just thought I’d tell anyone who has a bunch of bags and is waiting for the elves.

One thing I DO recommend is letting the elves search your town for the hidden bags. Unless you have a ton of time to kill, tracking down the bags is a pain, as they sometimes go behind buildings or whatever and you can’t see them unless you “turn off” the houses (when you are moving things).

The elves pick those up nicely.

Oh, and for anyone wanting to help out my Squid-port tiles project and/or my cketus farm money project, my user name is

I got my first spin token from a gift bag yesterday, and my regular token from the egg nog bar. Result: Mr. Plow and Simpson’s house decorations, which I didn’t have.

So after playing for about 8 days I have Mr. Plow and the lemon tree; I feel like I should quit while I’m ahead.

I did your tile, left, did it again, left, and did it again. 3 times. Did that give you 3 tiles? I onlly got like 83 exp eaxh time :frowning: I’ve had over 700 from a floating tile before.

And thanks for hitting the moonshine

I got the full payout for moonshine from your handshake, and I still have the original handshake there.

RooshJam, IIRC. I had the same thing today.
Thanks for the help

They have dramatically lowered the group prize total requirements. The first one remains the same, but the rest are now:

Prize One: 450,000,000
Prize Two: 625,000,000
Prize Three: 800,000,000
Prize Four: 975,000,000
Prize Five: 1,100,000,000

We should get to about Prize Four now.

AFAIK, the tokens DO NOT stack. I believe someone here on the board tried to see if the token would stack, and i never saw a follow-up post saying it did. I doubt it would, since you get one a day, plus the occasional free token in a package. That gives you over 25 for the length of the game, which is probably plenty. Unless there are a ton of gifts that haven’t been seen on the wheel yet.

Anytime! And thank you for hitting my tile!

I only received one tile, so the only thing that does is help you with your XP. i’m not sure why you received such a small payout on the XP, but you don’t help the other person by going out and going back in to tap it three times. Like I said, you personally get the XP, but the person who you tapped on only gets one handshake regardless of whether you tap it once or three times…

At least that’s how I understand it. If anyone has any other info, please share.
One thing I will share, (and this is just MHO, so do with it what you will). but don’t go crazy on the experience points. Hitting a tile once is fine, but going back in and out is not only time consuming, but you don’t really gain all that much personally. Yes, you will move through the levels faster, but you still need to complete all the tasks before you can release most of the buildings. I am still not finished with Thanksgiving tasks yet because I got so far ahead of the game. I’ve cut back on my XP gathering significantly, and just get the extra for the one tap per tile. I don’t even check to see how much I get per tile, as I move to the next town before the points are accumulated,

The other thing is, when you move through the levels TOO quickly, you don’t have time to build any cash reserves. I’m sure everyone has their own take on this, but to me, there really isn’t any rush to get through the levels. It only has 37 levels anyway, so where’s the fire? Trust me, when I started, I was like you, trying to get as much of everything I could… But you will soon realize that cash means more than anything (besides donuts, of course, but they are hard to find).

Most of the folks on this board have been playing for months if not a year or longer. So naturally their towns will look great compared to yours. Don’t get discouraged. Time will get you there soon enough, and you will start getting tired of clicking on those brown houses. You can get sucked into this very easily, but most people try to limit their visits to the game over the day. And I have to agree that this is the way to go. I spent way too much time playing initially, especially on the weekend or whenever I had free time. Now, I go into the game two times a day, maybe three. And that’s plenty, with all the things to take care of and people to visit.

Welcome to the game!

Fellow newbie here so take with grain of salt. I built my first few tiles the old-fashioned way and got progressively higher XP for them until it reached 500. I think you have to do this in order for other people to get 500, 500+ when they click.

Thanks!

Is it common to run out of gift bags? I try to leave one per friend I visit, and I still have to leave people out.

VERY common. I’m typically starting each town run with appx 40 or so every day, and I have 80+ friends.

I alternate each day starting on one end of my town list, then the other.

Everybody gets one (until I run out), but if I notice someone has dropped a few on me, they get extras.

…and if I get a cash prize from the wheel tonight I’m gonna snap…

You and me both. My last 5 spins: Xmas Krabappel Apt decoration (OK fine didn’t have it, Lisa snowman (already have it), Lisa snowman (I said I already have it dammit), $1000 and $1000.

I did my first 10-12 tiles the old fashioned way. I have a few tiles in storage now, so maybe if I place them, they will increase the XP’s?

I’ll give it a shot and folks can tell me what the resulting XP is.

I hope people aren’t stopping by because my XP is low. I have hit some low XP’s and just figured that was what it was giving out. I didn’t think anything of it, and I hit the tile the next day.

I know I’m hitting more tiles than i’m getting back, but I figured this was more a product of the gift cards. It would be nice if people reciprocated with this stuff, but I guess you can’t have everything. i just hope the “do unto others” rule kicks in for some folks, especially for those folks that I’ve had to seek out their Squidoorts. (And you know who you are!)

I wonder how many handshakes you can have without losing tiles? I read online the number was something like 8, but someone in this thread mentioned they have something like 18 handshakes stacked, so I guess no one knows for sure.
Loach and Labtrash, i had no idea you could get the same prize with the spin of the wheel. Especially the snow Simpsons. I can understand the cash, but to get two of the same snow simpsons would be a bummer. The money would kind of suck too.

I picked up the bart snowman last night, and it’s all melted and black. Not too attractive.

Word, Brother

Helter Shelter (cool bldg, but no tasks for it)
Marge Snowman (had but lost, so cool)
$1000 (suck)
$1000 (Grrrr)
$1000 (%@#@^&&^&#~!!@# !!!)

This is about as fun as getting my usual $250 for the “Mystery Box of Suckitude” every week.

That’s good, because I don’t care about the fifth prize since it’s just decorative anyway.

There goes that theory. If someone happens to click mine, I’d be curious to know how much XP mine is giving. Folly312

Odds on Krusty’s Wheel

First community prize should be very, very soon now.

I am 600 away from the last personal prize and still haven’t found a single coin other than what I’ve generated at the egg nog bar. pouts At least now I’ll be making more.

I just got the final prize and am now at 32,000 gift cards. I have received zero tokens outside the Egg Nog Bar and the 2 I’ve earned for being over 30,000.

The slow spin kind of works for the Krusty Wheel, but I have yet to master it. I have won the Helter Shelter and all color houses except blue. And the Plow King costume, which came with Mr. Plow as well.

Claus Co. is the only one I really want, though.

Where in the hell is it?

I passed the threshold for gift cards to get the christmas raccoon, but it happened when i was tapping a bunch of stuff on the screen.

It disappeared, and I assumed it would be in my inventory. But it isn’t there.

Were does it go, and how big is it? Or is it possible that this thing isn’t given out as something to place in the town, but is just a milestone?

Thanks.

I’m pretty sure it goes right into your town, not into your inventory. It’s not very big and is probably scurrying around right now.

I got Mr. Plow and I am far more excited about that than I should be.

If you don’t have Barney, can you get the Plow King?
