The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I moved my treehouse waaaaay off to one side so I wouldn’t accidentally tap it.

I’m still without a Mr Plow or a Yeti. Grump grump grump.

Thank you. I had no idea what that helicopter was for, but that explains it. Is the Santa and reindeer going across the screen the Christmas version of Arnie’s helicopter?

HA! I didn’t even know Lisa and Homer were IN the treehouse. So, how could you have kept them in the treehouse? Was there a task to keep them in the treehouse?

I had no idea what the “hunting for Simpsons” task was, because I was tapping and missed the write up that came up in the text bubble explaining it. I’ve missed a lot of explanations for tasks because of that. I wish there was a way to go back and read the stuff if you inadvertently pass it.

The best thing to do is to never send Lisa to hide in the first place. That is what I’ve done and I’ve been hunting for the Simpsons for days.

I cleared the wheel last night, no donuts used. I heard last year leftover Christmas currency could be converted to donuts. So I’m hanging on to my coins for a while, see what the rumor mill produces. If we don’t get to exchange them (like the goo on Halloween), I’ll just have a shit load of spins to do on Jan 7.

It was REALLY nice to have everyone stop hunting for the Simpsons. It was making my game laggy.

Usually I play on an iPod, but today I tried it out on a Kindle. It kept crashing and crashing. I got through very few neighbors, but when I immediately tried it on my iPod, it worked fine. I guess the takeaway is that crashing can depend on device. Maybe it’s still EA’s fault, but there is a difference.

I love the confirm donut button. I was playing another game that didn’t have a confirm button on the premium currency. It took me weeks and weeks to save up (you got more currency in that game, but you HAD to use it to progress in the game, unlike donuts which are not needed for a full-game experience) and I clicked on something by mistake and half were gone. I rage quit and haven’t played since.

I was getting bored with them all running around anyway. Just need Claus Co.

I still just need the Yeti.

I still need both the Yeti and Claus Co.

I think i would be ok with getting the building and missing the yeti. The building is just so cool.

I thought i had the yeti today, but the wheel, which was dying on the yeti had a sudden burst of unnatural speed at landed in the $1000 spot. It is truly amazing how i continue to just miss these two prizes.

I am actually looking forward to the 7th, so if I don’t get them, i can at least stop worrying about the spins and how EA is screwing me!!! HaHaha

Now down to the Yeti.

Woo hoo.

I can’t believe how happy I was to land on Clause Co. But I was. As embarrassing as it is to admit it, I was.

Ok, yeti. You are mine!

I’ve just started; I’m tomtildrum00. My Springfield is still just two blocks long.

I’ll be trying to friend lots of you. Can’t wait to see what you’ve done with your towns!

The only thing remaining on my wheel is the shelter.

I will hit 100,000 cards tomorrow and I have never received a token from a box or anything.

I still need the snow monster.

Got the yeti, and released Lisa and Homer. I’m tired of card collecting! Only thing left is Mr. Plow, and I’ve decided I’ll live if I never get it.

I just screwed myself out of a spin.

I went to the wheel to see if there was anything besides the yeti I am missing, and as I rotated the wheel to look at a building (not sure if it is an actual building or another christmas light facade), the wheel started moving on it’s own!

It didn’t even make a full revolution, and the result? 50 gift cards.

:smack::smack::smack:

Dammit! Dammit! Dammit!

I hate this wheel. If hate were people, I’d be China.

Mahaloth, that is an amazing number of cards. I can’t believe you haven’t won the yeti yet. I think i’d have quit long ago if I were you. Kudos on the stamina.

I am just going to collect my cards and try for the yeti. And apparently,m there is a building that I might not have. Not sure what it is, maybe this shelter people are talking about.

The strange thing about my wheel is that I still have Barney’s Mr. plow on the wheel, and. I have it in inventory as well. I hope that is just a dead spot on the wheel and I’ll never stop there. If I get two Barney jackets/personalities with no Barney to put it on, that would suck. On the other hand, if I hit it again and it gave me the bowl-o-rama, that would be cool.

I’m just getting tired of getting the cards for either 50 cards or $1000. Although I’ll take the cash over 50 cards every time. 50 cards just sucks. Unless you can turn in cards for something at the end of this, 50 cards isn’t helping me at all. I guess if I had 951 cards and hit that 50 card thing, and it was the last day, I might be happy. But knowing my luck, i’d have 949 cards, and with my last spin i would hit 50 cards. 999 cards to end the game. I can feel it coming!

I have not received a coin since the gathering of 1000 cards started to give a coin. I only got 2 or 3 from packages, so it wasn’t like it was a major windfall. I’ll be curious to see if most of us clear the wheel off before the 7th if we haven’t already. I figure i have about 30 spins left. If I get the yeti and the shelter, i will probably stop spinning, but i’ll still collect the cards and the coins in case a few donuts are in my future.

I’ve been trying for the Abominable Snowman for days. I’ve gotten the 1000 money on either side of it a dozen times. I’ve tried spinning opposite directions. I’ve tried not trying for it. I’ve lost spins in the same manner that Stink Fish Pot described.

I just cannot get it.

It’s not actually a wheel with even odds. It’s more like a percentage based dice roll, only with uneven odds for each side of the dice.

I still get about 7-9 spins a day and I’ll keep going to the end. If I don’t have the Yeti…whatever.

Would you all mind some noob questions?

I can build brown and purple houses – is there value in building multiples of them? Do they each generate cash and XP individually?

Does every building have to face a road, or am I thinking of city-building too literally?

Why is land nearer the mountains more expensive?

I only have a few characters at this point; do more get unlocked in the normal course of quests, or is there something more I should be doing to seek them out?

I got the Snow Monster today, thus ending my gift card obsession at just over 100,000.

I’ve numbered your list and will answer with a corresponding numbered list.

  1. Yeah, build a bunch of houses when you are starting out. They all generate money and you will need it. When you get them, Blue are the best.

  2. Too literally. It looks better if it faces a road, but does not matter at all. Put anything anywhere, even in an empty field.

  3. No idea. The land increases in price as you get bigger and bigger; I had not noticed much difference in the location.

  4. The majority of characters will unlock as you complete quests and gain levels. Some are “premium” and you must buy them. All the big ones are free, though, and you will get them if you stick with it. It goes at a pretty good pace.

We should have the Yes Man tonight.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!

Finally hit the Helter Shelter, leaving just the Ice God now (95K+ gift cards, no donuts spent).

I have decided to keep all of my spins for one attempt per day. That way, i’ll have 4-5 spins at once, not one here and there. Last night, i helped out so many people with hitting their tiles and crops and channel six icons, that i only ended up with 2 spins after visiting all 100 friends. That was a bummer!

I have as many friends as possible, and I’m not getting even close to 6 spins a day. 7-9 is amazing!

And congrats on getting your yeti…
I have given up hope, and if I get it, I will be shocked. The wheel is clearly not fairly distributing the spins, and that is getting harder and harder for me to accept. I came one slot away from getting the yeti twice yesterday, and n both instances, the wheel clearly should have stopped and kept going. It’s just the way the software works, and i understand that, i just don’t like it. It’s like I have the yeti won, and then ZING the wheel moves one more space over and I end up with the 50 gift cards.

For those of you that don’t need to collect gift cards at a blazing pace any longer, Feel free to hit my channel 6, tile, and crop icons on my town! Especially if you already have your wheel prizes completed, toss me a bone and hit those bouncing icons!

C’mon fuckin’ snow bumble!
