I burned through 70 spins this afternoon. It really was done poorly. What do I need more cards for if I won all the prizes? Vary the cash, even if you can’t put donuts or even freaking hedges. It would at least make it a tiny bit more entertaining. I’m happy it’s over and hope everyone gets their last few things in the next 12-15 hours.

I got the fuckin’ bumble tonight. You think I’d be happy. But the wheel literally kicked on a brake and stopped right on it. I guess they figured if you were stubborn enough to collect spins until the last day, they’d give you what ever prizes you were short.
The action on the wheel was just what other people were talking about over the past two days. I must have just received an update because it was pathetically obvious. The wheel NEVER acted like that before the spin tonight.
I’d rather the wheel just spin and let it fall where it falls, with no weighted odds, no software-induced winning (or losing). If they were going to give me the bumble, just give the fucking thing to me. I feel cheated with the way I got it.
As God is my judge, I will never spin that wheel again!
I doubt it. I spun 4 times yesterday and got Krabapple Christmas lights (giving me 3 sets for a building I still don’t have), a second Marge snowman, $1000, and 50 cards. At 59,000 cards I’m still missing the Yeti, Claus Co and Plow King.
You’d be right. On what was likely my last spin, Claus Co came up.
I’d feel more frustrated if I hadn’t hit the big win at the races twice this week.
If anyone visits my town and wonders what monkey laid things out, I’m gradually rearranging things. It will probably take some time as I decide what goes where.

You guys and your attempts to get the Bumble are cracking me up. It doesn’t do anything! At least the mutant frog yells at you (most of the time), the Bumble just sweeps.
It looks like the Wheel will end without me getting the Plow King, the bumble or Claus Co. Sigh.
Well, I just unlocked Squidport so I guess I’ll work on that, then.
I would trade my bumble for two wins at the races. I have never won the big race.

I saw the update ready on my phone but won’t have a chance to play with it yet but I am downloading it now.

My update downloaded, and I went into the town, only to see all the snow gone. No storyline was presented.
Also, my snowmen are melting. I have no problem with saying goodbye to the snowmen, but I don’t want to lose the bonus attached to them.
What happens to the bonus? And do the snowmen re-appear next winter?
Rumor has it that many towns are being glitched by the update to remove the Christmas update. Tread lightly if your town is one of them.
I got the update and it crashed twice just trying to reset all the jobs. That was on my phone, I’m really, really hoping the update on my tablet will make it run better.
There’s a chance it will as it was running at a normal speed on my phone which was also just updated to KitKat. When my tablet got KitKat is when it crapped out. However, my problem seems to be device specific.
Last year the snowmen partially melted but never disappeared. I’m sure that will remain the same.
All of my characters are busy. I haven’t checked the message board but I’m sure someone needs to be available to start.
ETA: didn’t see anything on the MB walk through. Maybe they won’t start for a bit.

There is no level 38. So no new quests, storylines, characters, land, or things to buy.
Some people are having really bad trouble, like they log in and it’s not their town.
For me, the manage friends part is all gone. I guess the apple products now look like the androids did all along and we might have to download the origin desktop thing to manage friends. Before, I could click on “add friend” and delete friends, look at my invitations. Now I can see my invites and that’s it. 
In good news, glitchables did NOT reset, so if you had a tile or corn up, they’re still going strong until you tap them.
It felt real nice to tap all my buildings last night when I gave up on Christmas. I had been leaving anything that generated gift cards untapped for my neighbors when they visited. I had made a small brown house farm too, but I got rid of almost all of them and left only a few for visitors; not everyone likes to spray paint. I have to do a redesign in both SP and KL, but I need a break.
Well. I am not going to update until the last possible minute. I am curious to see how long I can keep going earning Gift Cards. And, how long i can keep going to other people’s town’s getting gift cards. Tonight might be the last time. But, it will be fun ot find out! I have three things left on the wheel, maybe I will get lucky before I am forced to upgrade. (The Plow King, which I don’t care about since, I don’t think I will ever use donuts to buy Barney, the abominable snowman, which I want more than anything! SO neat, and the mountain, which I don’t care about.)
The game is pretty fun. It’s hard for me to design a town on my small phone. But, I love seeing the awesome work all of you guys out there have done. I am in awe of how you are able to set up such real looking towns. While mine looks like. Well, what it looks like. I started right when this christmas thing started. We’ll see how much I like the non holiday flavored version of the game.

As someone in software testing for 20+ years, I am saddened, but not surprised, at the poor quality of this game. The current state of the software development industry is the worst I’ve ever seen. For every glitchy, well-known healthcare.gov, there are hundreds of glitchy, little-known Tapped Outs. 
I got the update but I didn’t get any story or comments on it. I did send Homer, Ned, Bart, and Lisa on Christmas quests before I updated. I had 70 or so coins saved up and I was hoping they would translate into donuts or something, but it doesn’t appear to be the case.
So far everything is OK. A day or so ago I got a message saying that I needed to log out of my other device but I only play it on my tablet, so that was a bit odd.
I had some Xmas tasks going yesterday morning, and when I started up (post update), no card payouts for them. You’ll just get in game cash now.
