I just wanted to send a post- christmas thank-you for all the gift bags you all sent my way. I realize they weren’t the easiest things to distribute equitably, and god knows i tried to deliver packages to everyone that was sending them my way, but many days I only had 30 bags to go to 100 friends. I’m sure you all dealt with the same issues.

Oh, and anyone know anything about growing corn? I am thinking of growing the stuff, since I’d like to get the payoff, but 3 months seems like a long time. Is there a way to speed up the process that you know of?
I read on-line about some great donut bug that allows ypu to get as many donuts as you want after growing the corn. It involves tapping cletus, I think. But it turns out that it is a hoax. Still, if there is a way to speed up the growth of the corn, pass along any theories you might have.

I believe if you have the Marge Witch job, she’ll knock some hours off the corn, but I don’t know of anything that will make it anything other than a months long slog.
I kind of regret choosing to do it and I hope it doesn’t bite me on the ass in terms of having to wait for it to end before I can do a job down the line.
I don’t know of any job that requires you to grow crops, except maybe when you first build Cletus’ farm. I haven’t seen one since. I remember having to grow triffids (the one that the result is the end of humanity), but that was right around when the farm was new,
What would really suck is if you finish the 3 month wait, and you get a task requiring you to grow corn again.
They come up randomly, too. I’ve got one wanting tomacco that’s waiting on my corn to finish. I don’t imagine the “growing corn” ever comes up as a random task, that would just be cruel.
That said, someone far upthread gave a hint for if you need your farm back and it’s stuck growing corn – just put the farm into storage (which will cancel the current crop without paying you for it), and take it out again. This generally, but not always, works to free people up from tasks you’ve assigned them to, as well, if the task is in a building.

Well, I probably have just jinxed us all. I decided to grow Corn. Just Corn. I know it’s not likely that the glitch will be there in April when it’s ready if it’s really a glitch and not an Easter Egg, but what the hell. It’s only digital money. I’d like to say I did it once.
I did it once before and vowed to not do it again. But then I got witch Marge and her speed up crop job. Less than ten days away from corn.
What glitch? I’ve got corn ready in about ten days.

I rearranged my Springfield so that it opens on Channel 6, Cletus’s Farm, and Open Air Stage to help them get more taps. I imagine that it makes searching around for them significantly easier.
That’s a good idea. I don’t know if I can do that with my farm, thematically (Cletus lives out in the sticks), but I certainly could for the stage and TV station.
How do you control where people land when they visit? During Christmas I know it was the present depot, right? I’ve only been playing for a month so I’m just getting used to the bright colors. 
You don’t control where they land; they just land at the same spot as you do when you enter your town.
