So do we just do tasks that keep the characters on screen for the next three weeks?
It looked like valentines were floating above both tasked and free walkers.
What makes the characters eligible for a valentine? I went through two or three towns that, while the valentines were in play, didn’t have any floaty cards above them.
I don’t know. I’m leaving my people free except for the heart earning tasks.
What are the heart earning tasks? I only see the Homer/marge, Flanders, and Milhouse one. Are there others?
I have characters doing inside tasks and they are receiving Valentines. Dr Hibbert is “attending a Republican meeting” and I just snagged a Valentine from the house in which he is doing that. So, inside or outside, all characters seem capable of receiving Valentines.
This update is really frustrating.
I just got through my friends list after 4 crashes. I was finally able to delete two neighbors that haven’t played forever, but when I tried to add someone, the bart screen kept coming up.
I have given up.
Oh, can anyone tell me where I show up on your neighbor lists? I know it is now alphabetical, but do numbers appear before or after all the letters?

Interesting, I don’t have any friends in the game (because I am a sociopath) and it randomly gave me two along with my other Springfield to I can go collect Valentines. Seems like the corn/roses thing they are trying to be helpful on this one.
To answer you next questions, yes, I know how the friends work; no, I don’t want any; yes, I manage to get through the game without them and without buying donuts.
I might have to get Brandine now. Getting the kids sounds funny, but yeesh 90 days is a long time.
It’s odd but some of the other towns I’ve visited didn’t give me 3 valentines. I only got 2 on a few. Anyone have the 410 on this? (410 is one faster than 411).
Also, my game’s been flaky after the update as well. I get booted out sometimes or I lock up in other Springfields. I got logged off once and when I logged back in, it logged me off again and said I was logged in elsewhere. Stupid servers.

Well, I figured I’d be first or last, so I guess i lucked out.
However, I don’t see the big deal. When i go through my neighbors, I hit them all. There is really no reason not to.
If I don’t want/need the hearts, i’d just bypass them all.
It seems as if stacking is gone, at least for now. Has anyone heard if it is gone for good, or if it is just part of this update? I hope it is temporary.
This is another strange concept. A whole lot of work to go into gathering hearts. Plus, you are forced to create the roses crop, which kind of stinks.
I’ve only seen one heart related task, and that is Flanders’. So this may be a long grind.
I have not been able to get a second handshake on my fkoating channel 6 icon, so that means only one reward after waiting 16 hours. That’s not worth it without the stacking handshakes, so I’ll be curious if they don’t turn that back on after the V-day gimmick.
If stacking does not return, then growing corm will never make sense. 90 days for one shot at the money? Too many other things you could do to make the farm more profitable than growing corn.
If anyone has seen anything else worth sharing, please do so.

One other question for you all.
I jist went from level 38 to level 38, meaning I hit the total numner of xp’s required to move up, if there was a new level. EA gives you three squares to choose from, and in those squares there are 1, 2, or 3 donuts.
I hit a box, and got 2 donuts. A message comes on the screen asking if i want to pick another box, to try to find the one with 3 donuts, or do I want to keep the two that I found. The price to pick another box is $50k, and you only have a 50/50 shot. You could end up paying $50k and find the one donut square. So I just kept the two donuts.
Is that how this works for you all? Why risk $50k in cash for 1 lousy donut? And you have an equal chance to lose a donut after you spend you cash to choose a box. Seems like it is a no brainer to keep the two donuts, if I’m understanding this correctly.
If any of the new players wants to send me a friend request, please do so even if you have already sent me one. I was able to delete a few dead weight neighbors, and even though the software shows I have 20 friend requests, when I look at my info, I have none. Those were before the last update, and I’m not sure if they are gone forever, or if they are just gone for this update. In any event, send me a rewuest, and if ai have space, I’ll add you.

I had a few not give me three. I have one who has NOTHING floating all day. Supposedly you can tap characters even if they haven’t updated yet, so I don’t know what the deal with him/her is. I mean, if that user’s neighbors had tapped on everyone, it’s supposed to clear the tap after an hour, so checking in later in the day should have shown something open to tap, like my ones who only had one or two to tap.
I’m getting far fewer hearts than I did gift bags or goo/gremlins at the same point in the update. I’m not too worried. I feel confident I’ll clear the wheel on my own and there’s plenty of time to do so (and people take time to update), but it is annoying feeling like I am getting fewer hearts because of where I am in the alphabet. Not everyone goes to all their neighbors and if someone gives up, it’s going to be after doing the first part.

I have had 100 friends for some time, but I went through during this Valentines Day activity and deleted some inactive ones. If anyone would like to friend me, I am accepting again and am dropping off 3 Valentines cards to all 100 of my friends every single day.

I like the new way the friends list is set up now. But I can’t see how to delete friends. Hiding them doesn’t seem to be useful.
If you pay the 50k and drop to 1 donut, it’ll let you pay 50k to open the third box. So it’s essentially 50-100k for a donut, which I find worthwhile, but if you only have 50k, you’re right, no reason to risk it.
Money for donuts is easily worthwhile for me since I have no intention of ever spending real life money on this game. Game money is easy to get, donuts are precious. So I’m going to keep a buffer of $100k minimum for box buying.
Arguably buying $100k of blue houses will eventually lead to more donuts than the 1-2 you buy, but that kills the game. And eventually is probably a long time
This update blows. I had to make the same spin on the wheel 5 times before the game quit crashing and accepted it. Today I can’t even get logged in.
EA is the worst company ever.
I’m going to have to agree with you on this.
Ever since this update, i have been able to get through my entire neighbor list exactly once. And it is not for a lack of trying. I cannot get to the neighbor page at all during the day, and at night, it kicks me off regularly.
To hit the bart/milhouse icon, wait 30 seconds, get the big bart screen, try to reconnect and when you do, it takes you back to the game’s opening screen and you start all over, is absolutely maddening. It is lather, rinse, repeat.
I also have noticed a number of neighbors have no cards floating over their characters. Does this indicate they failed to download the latest update? I spent a ton of time searching each person’s town looking for cards to tap. Some had zero, but strangely, others had 1 or 2 cards. That fact kept me searching for more cards, only to come up empty. What a pain in the ass and a waste of time.
These updates seem very poorly tested, if at all, and EA doesn’t seem to care. If they did, they would test the updates properly, instead of throwing them out there for everyone to see what happens.
Because they’re all tapped. Those towns won’t have any more valentines cards until the owner logs in and clears them all. I know it sucks but not everyone can check their town every 3 hours and with 100 friends who all get 3 taps, it doesn’t take that long to hit every character.
