Yes, the baskets are random rewards. I thought I wasn’t getting any and checked my inventory and I had four in there without noticing.
I don’t want to be another Simpsons complainer, as that was old literally 20 years ago, but I don’t like this update very much. It’s too confusing and complicated. I hate that you don’t earn eggs when friends visit unless you use baskets. I would have earned a 2nd box today if I hadn’t messed up and traded eggs last night, but two boxes a day? That’s not going to get me close to the prizes. It’s not that I’m a completist, but it’s not a good event if it’s not realistic.
I do think if it’s really off they’ll drop more eggs or reduce the number for a box, but it’s not a guarantee.
This sounds so close to Charlie Brown when he says “I got a rock” at Halloween.
I finally have rabbits. I cannot visit my neighbors until tomorrow, but that’s ok.
I also have had little success electrocuting rabbits, so I usually have to double tap them.
As someone who doesn’t have great eyesight, I was really enjoying playing the game on my PC using the BlueStacks software. Unfortunately, the Easter Update did not agree with BlueStacks. Their tech support forums seem to suggest that they have no clue on how to fix it.
Anyone here savvy to another way to play it on the PC? I tried using the Genymotion android emulator, but it’s a little over my head on the tech side and couldn’t get it to work.
Meanwhile, I keep tapping on Milhouse’s head, thinking he is a bunny. Sigh.
I got 100 golden eggs for my first cash in. Was really hoping for a fence. 
Well, i finally started the Easter event, and I don’t get it yet.
I seem to be someone who has more blue eggs than pink, but the only way to get them right now is to squish bunnies, and that is one at a time. You can’t be expected to sit around on this game all day waiting for more bunnies to pop up. I only have 300 blue eggs, and about 50 pink ones, and zero gold ones.
How I am supposed to collect 500 gold eggs for one of those prizes is beyond me, yet alone 2500 gold eggs to get all the prizes.
And i am not clear on swapping eggs either. If I visit another neighborhood, can I take their gold eggs if I fork over blue or pink ones? That doesn’t sound right. I hope people can’t take other people’s eggs.
Oh well. I am waiting for homer to finish stealing eggs to get a basket and see what they are about. But I am not enthused about this game.
Do you have to zap your bunnies to get a free basket? Because I can’t figure out how to aap the damn things with any consistency. Every once in a while, i get the electric zap, but it is so random, most of the time there are no bunnies to be electrocuted.
At least there is no wheel.
You’re going to get the majority of your eggs from visiting your friends. You start out getting something like 18 per friend and it goes down to 3 eventually.
There is no wheel–there are three wheels. When you buy a box (blue, pink, or gold) it cycles through all the possible presents and eventually lands on what you won. It’s basically a wheel for each color box.
You can only get golden eggs by winning them in a pink or blue box. There is no other way to get them. And you’ll need a hell of a lot more than 2500 golden eggs to win everything in the gold box. Shari Bobbins doesn’t even unlock as a possibility until you’ve collected 10,000 golden eggs.
You don’t tap on the bunnies one by one like whacking day. You hold your finger on the screen and slide it around, using the automatic pan and scan to quickly whoosh through all the territory. Think of it like an electric paintbrush.
I’ve had two baskets - one was in my inventory after doing the introductory tasks, I think. When that was full and I collected the eggs from it, there was another one in my inventory - not sure how it got there.
Be careful. Last night I was collecting eggs from neighbors and I accidentally tapped a basket that took 100 of my uncommon eggs and gave me 50 common. Grrr.
Also another time I was intentionally tapping a basket of the ‘correct’ color but I accidentally hit it twice and traded in more eggs than I had meant to.
So far I have bought two common baskets and one uncommon, and have 400 gold eggs and a set of fences.
You can do it both ways. One way is obviously easier than the other.

Well, somehow I got over 600 blue eggs and traded it it and got… An egg display? WTF.
I finally figured this out. Much more rewarding, and quicker too. Still, no basket of any kind anywhere. So, I am thinking of buying one just to see what the do.
These “gifts” or “bonus prizes” leave a lot to be desired.
The fences are part of the current Easter quest, you need 50 of them. It’s supposed to be a joke for all the people that are sick of getting fences…now you have to get them instead of being sick of getting them.
The devs certainly do listen to message board criticism.
I don’t know that they’re really part of the quest. It’s more like they’re throwing us a bone if we get a lot of them. But 15 donuts for getting 50 fence sections is better than nothing. I’ve already got 9 fences.
I got a tree and 100 gold eggs, no fences.
And yes, it was sort of a ‘side quest’. At first I was annoyed when it came up as part of the quest and I realized that it might take the entire month to get 50 fences (and this is a long quest), but then the quest continued on past that part, so that was nice.
Everyone should plant corn right now, before they forget. When you get to a certain part if the quest, it will auto-complete your corn and you’ll get an easy $45,000.

I’ve got more money than I know what to do with right now and I’m not all that interested in any of the big ticket items so I’ve been planting Triffads and putting Marge The Witch on it. I can harvest them 2-3 times per day that way. Doing that I can fill my XP bar every 2 weeks or so and get more donuts (not that I need those either).
If it’ll auto-compete soon, I’ll do it, but otherwise Corn isn’t really a good deal unless you just don’t want to deal with planting every day or are planning to not play for a while.

Do the people that you swap eggs with also get punished? For instance, i swapped 100 blue eggs with someone for 50 pink eggs. Did that person lose those 50 pink eggs for the 100 blue ones? Because that seem like that would suck.
I only swapped once and then realized that someone might be screwed if Idid that, so I stopped until I get an answer.
Also, id say only 1/3 of my neighbors even had baskets, so I am not seeing the value of having one. If I don’t have one, someone can’t swap with me, but I can still swap with others if I want to. So, is there some other reason to have the basket?
Finally, the visiting of neighbors didn’t give me a ton of eggs. I don’t know what the breakdown is, but i was sown to 1 egg/tap very quickly.
This event is not very well-conceived. I am trying to cut the developers a break, but at the same time, these things are not very well-thought out. They seem slapped together.
Finally, i can’t see any way to get the gold donuts except from trading in pink and blue eggs.
Does everyone have the same prizes in the pink and blue egg list? Because one has 100 gold eggs, and one has 50 gold eggs. That doesn’t seem very fair, unless they expect you to even out the odds by swapping your eggs with everyone.
What is the part of the quest right before this?
I am down to 4 days and change from a 90-day corn cycle. I don’t want to have it auto complete with a day left. That would piss me off majorly. I’ll just hold off on any quest activities until my corn completes.
