I think after a certain point, upgrading doesn’t do anything but just allow you to earn more corn/whatever/fertilizer per tap, but if you’re upgrading, you’re not saving to build the craftable stuff. I stopped upgrading and I think I should have backed off a bit earlier. It’s a long event. I’ll probably still get everything, but it’s a real slog.
Good news, friends. I should soon have enough seeds to drop one in each town. I’ve only been able to go through once this event.
Man, I am building up quite the prison district over here. I keep it in a different corner from my Event Specific Crap that Still Pays Out district, which is pretty crowded. I need to zone out an Event Specific Crap that Boosts Vanity, or Whatever area as a roadside attraction.

Yeah, I feel that despite all the extra Itchy & Scratchy signs, _ondas and Minnow Ponds, the mystery box is probably a good use of the doughnuts. Of course, I didn’t want three Lard Lads.
Any real reason to upgrade Frink’s herbicide? At least Monsanto allows the monkey to get a 3 hour job at a certain level. The farmers’ market quest seems out of reach.

After seeing a pop-up ad while playing Plants vs. Zombies, and noticing this thread, I just loaded this “new” game. I’m all of level 7 now, and I blew most all my donuts before realizing how hard they are to come by.
I sent friend requests to Clare de Loone, Maggie the Ocelot, koeeoaddi, Fenris and ColdPhoenix since they recently invited folks to do so. I figure it probably doesn’t make sense to scan any further back in the thread for other such invites, since many of them are years old, but I’m tokyrie on Origin if anyone wants to a visit a newbie Springfield from to to time.

I got my farmer’s market yesterday evening, jeez that seemed to take forever. Oh yeah, it’s a 24 hour build so I don’t actually have it yet. Pfft.
I would like the Gas N Grub also but I don’t know if I really want anything else. We’ll see as this thing goes.

(Long story short I thought that this was getting to be “too much work”. And then I realized it was just work plain and simple with this latest challenge and I quickly lost interest.)

Right, but I’ve had enough corn for days and days, but never enough fertilizer so corn is not the limiting factor.
I just kept plugging away to get fertilizer with the 1 and 2 hour tasks. Upgrading the facility is the way to go so you can get more characters in on the action. Mine’s at level 12 now.

I sort of assume that painting graffiti, for instance, is actually beneficial to both parties (hey, I get friendship points for it,) but how do I know? Is it annoying on the other end?
I’m xamovo and I tried to add you but EA/Origin is being a dink. It does that a lot, especially lately. So you can add me too as I apparently can’t add you.
You get the same amount of money if you tap The Simpson House (the lowest paying building in your own town) or the most expensive building. So go for what you like to do: buildings you like, what you land on, whatever. Some people really hate graffiti, but it’s the only way you make income from those four buildings, so I don’t mind it. It lowers one of your rankings, but that’s easy to boost back up (catching Sideshow Bob, sending criminals to jail).
