The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Anyone know why my “Righteousness” rating went from 5 stars to 1?

It is the one thst says keep criminals anf graffiti off the streets.

I have no graffiti, and I put every one that can go to jail into jail.

It’s strange that it would drop so far. I have had other categories drop when a level-up has happened, snd I needed to buy more houses or trees or something. But it has always been just a one star drop.

I hate it when that happens. Sometimes a day or three of sending people to jail (and not letting Wiggum do anything illegal) might fix it. Did you nuke your town and not replace training walls? It is the most pain in the ass rating.

Used to be that catching Bob would help your righteousness rating, right? But now, no more Bob opportunities.

I’m excited about Pride stuff. I can actually afford it! I replaced a lot of my green trees with rainbow trees. Even if I wasn’t in to LGBTQ Pride I’d be all over rainbow trees

The game’s FB page announced the Pride stuff today and a few people were like “GAYS?! I’m deleting the game!” lol

I wish they would delete themselves. Addition by subtraction.

Re: righteousness rating.
Add a bunch of training walls so you don’t have to be worried about what tasks people are on.

My cash is severely depleted but Mt money is finally complete. Go to the right in my Springfield to see burns trying to climb it.

Several people (inc me) had a dive in righteousness. I too think it might be because there are fewer Bobs. I did tap a Bob in a friend’s town today, so that was weird. Sometimes you catch him, sometimes he’s just a character. Maybe the Bob we catch should have a markedly different look, like prison stripes.

There is a stickyd post at the top of the EA forums that hate speech is not tolerated, so I’m guessing some nasty comments popped up there too.

If they decide they want the catchable Bob again, they could achieve that by saying that one of his clones has gotten loose in your friend’s town and needs to be squished.

I hope it’s not too late to join this party. My origin id is jamaikaiake

See and I thought it feels really forced and fairly awkward. It’s clear that the dialog has to be very tiptoed in writing, and it shifts from this character or that character being gay (which, whatever) to HEY!!! Let’s all get together and celebrate gays! Woohoo! Which seems kinda outta place.

Actually, a couple of times in the past couple of days, Bob was catchable in neighbors’ towns.

I am amazed that anyone has finished this thing. Did you spend any donuts to speed it up? Because grinding this thing out is painful.

I like that you can take as long as you want to finish it, but as you near the end, the length of time between Burns dumping money onto the pile increases as well as the amount of money it takes.

I am on level 9, I think. Just made it. Now, it is 3 hours between each task. And it will take 20 runs to get the money spent. That is 60 hours, assuming you hit it exactly at the time the task expires and you start it up again.

This is an OCD’s dream, but for those of us that don’t suffer from that, it is brutal. I just want that stupid bear gone. I wish they would give us the option of paying double to just get it over with. I would do that in a second.

Once the mountain is complete, I think I will put it in storage after a week or so, unless I really like the way it looks in my town. But I WILL finish it, dammit!

I just finished my Burns pile of money as well and got the Gorilla Vest skin (it’s a very nice vest). Monty’s first task with it is to try to climb the pile for 24 hours and it looks pretty amusing.

I’m not finding it a grind or painful. It’s just an alternate task for Burns. It finishes when it finishes. Doesn’t matter if it takes another 60 hours for this level or 60 days. The Spucklers took nearly a year to spit out…this is nothing.

Biggest pain to me, right now, is the 24-hour task. I want to play the same time every morning, when my wife is in the shower. But with so many people spread out so far, if I start one day at 6:30, then they aren’t all clicked and reassigned until 6:45. I’ve tried clicking, and immediately re-assigning to moderate success, but if there are any storylines going on, I may miss it because I clicked Maude before Lisa, and Maude is needed for the next task, and that’s a 24 hour delay (small beans, I know - most tasks are like Burns’ money pile and don’t care when they are done nor how long you take to finish). Bigger issue is that when I wake at 6:30 the next day, no one is ready. Maybe they start popping up 5-8 minutes later, but it pushes pack the whole process. Then the next day, it’s another 8 minutes later. And so on. Would love to see 24 hours changed to 23 hours and 45 minutes, which would allow me to tap my icons for my 15 minutes per day at the most convenient time of the day for me.

No donuts. Just kept Monty on there steadily and went with the longer tasks overnight.

You make a good point about the Spucklers. The difference to me is, I really didn’t care about the Spucklers. The arrived when they arrived, and I never thought about them while waiting. This mountain is just a repetitive pain in the ass.
As to your other issue, and setting someone on a 24-hour task before discovering they were needed in a task, or having the delay in the morning, I am not sure there is a good way around that. Personally, I wish we could put all characters on 24-hour tasks with one button push.

Go into your game in the morning, hit a button to collect all completed tasks. Hot another button to put all unassigned characters to a 24-hour task. That would save me a ton of time.

D_Odds do you really need that much money and XP? If it’s messing up the game for you, just put your characters on 12,16 and 20 hour tasks and play every day at the same time.

If you end up skipping days because 24 hour tasks technically take too long, and shorter tasks would allow you to play everyday without fail, the money will even out!

When there’s nothing going on in the game and I’m just raising money and I’m bored with it so I’m just logging on once a day, that’s what I do, I set all the characters to whatever is one notch under 24 hours. For some it’s 20, for others it’s 16 or 12 or whatever. I mean, I’ve got plenty of money in the game, it’s not like it was at the beginning when I had to spend two days saving up to buy whatever they wanted me to buy (WHAT! another blue house?). I’d rather miss a few dollars rather then letting some of my characters go another 24 hours until I get around to reset them because I did it later today and I’ll do it a little earlier tomorrow.

Of course, when there’s no event going on, sometimes I only log on once or twice a week, but even then I try not to have EVERYONE going at once and I never put anyone on tasks longer than 24 hours. Nothing worse than having an event start and you’re stuck for the first day because all your guys are busy.

It’s a money sink for those with a surfeit. That’s it. I don’t mind it if I have the money.

You guys know you can cancel jobs, right? The only real drawback is that it messes with the character order, if that matters, and Homer and Lisa sometimes can’t be cancelled.

That defeats the game’s entire business model, though.

No, I didn’t know that. Or I forgot it. How do you cancel a job? Let’s use the Homer donut machine for an example. It’s 36 hours, so I rarely use it, but if I could load Homer up, and then cancel it if he’s needed for a task, I’d use it more often. What do you do, put the item in storage?

I didn’t say they’d go for the idea. But I’d sure appreciate a “Collect all” or “Assign all” button.
