Thanks to your warning, I updated as late as possible and didn’t lose anything. I do experience the “doesn’t give you track pieces, just keeps adding up” glitch but as Rhodes pointed out I just need to visit my neighboreenos and it’s good (omg that word cracks me up so much!!)
Did you write down exactly what you want? I wouldn’t even know what to ask for. I am bad at keeping track of what I usually get!
I had to switch browsers to get Live Chat to work. The rep I got said a fix is coming and he wouldn’t reset my town. The users on the EA forums are voting in a “What do I want for reparations” thread. If I got my town fixed quickly and easily, assuming I actually got my town back to “normal”, I’d want 100 donuts, maybe $1M if they give in-game cash too. But a LARGE amount of donuts takes the edge off not being able to play for a week and losing a level AND at least one premium character.
Update with some quest of some sort. Homer 1 hour. But more interestingly, they gave a bunch of jobs to existing characters, so that your Bernices, Groenings, Ziffs, Ralphs et al. all have 1 4 8 12 and 24 hour solo jobs at least. Also Stampy and the monkey have more than 2 jobs. Not sure if they have any new animations.
I am guessing that some of the new tasks are because the existing ones require “partners” who are now busy recycling. Artie Ziff now has a 24-hour task that does not need Marge; Matt Groening has one that does not require Homer; Helen Lovejoy has one that does not require Reverend Lovejoy (and even then, that one was “only” 20 hours).
I can’t wait to play these new levels, get new FP stuff. Rumors abound about Halloween next week.
Alas, my game is still fucked up.
Why do I feel like Homer is running quality control at EA?
I did contact them today after the new update did not fix my game and the rep I spoke with had to bump it up the food chain. I am supposed to hear back … eventually. So now it’s been over a week since I could play properly. Sorry, neighborinos. Don’t defriend xamovo. I’m a good friend when my game works.
I was also promised unprompted an unspecified amount of compensatory donuts.
Anyone else having trouble claiming rail pieces? I have more than enough but the progress bar just keeps extending out and not giving me a claim option.
Keep in mind that there are two Halloween episodes of the show this year.
The first one, scheduled for 10/18, is not a “fantasy” episode like they usually are; this one takes place in the same “universe” as the other episodes. The announced plot is:
Lisa gets scared at a haunted house, so Homer cancels his plans to put up Halloween decorations, which, apparently, puts quite a few people out of workThe second one, presumably scheduled for 10/25 (11/1 has to be reserved in case there’s a World Series game that night, which Fox would air), is a “standard Treehouse of Horror episode”; the one plot I can think of is:
What if Sideshow Bob tried to kill Bart…and was successful?
It doesn’t seem to work right, or I can’t figure it out. I sent 15(?) on 1 hr, and when I check only 1 is available to do 4 hours. Maybe it doesn’t account for characters if they are currently wearing a non-default skin?
I really need to blow up my town and start again. It’s a mess. Not enough lull for me to do it. I’ll probably just store a bunch of stuff I don’t like for Halloween. I think now I’ll wait for to build up a lot of track before I try something new.
My “send all” is a little glitchy - I doubt I have 6 characters that have 12-hour tasks but not 24-hour tasks, but that’s how many more I can send on a 12-hour task than a 24-hour one. I was going to say that maybe it had something to do with some characters needing others to do 24-hour tasks (e.g. Artie Ziff’s “Propose to Marge” and Matt Groening’s “Attempt to Erase Homer”), but then I remembered that all of them now have 24-hour tasks they can do on their own (which is also a better explanation as to why they added those tasks than my earlier “it’s because the characters you need are too busy recycling”). Also, why is there no option for 16-hour tasks?
Is “collect all” going to be a thing, or just wishful thinking?
As for “end all tasks,” how about adding “cancel the current task” to the character list in Town Hall?
Is there a limit as to how many characters can be given tasks automatically at once? I tried giving all of my characters 12-hour tasks, but only half of them got them. I thought that maybe the ones that didn’t had something in common (for example, some of them also had 16-hour tasks), but I noticed that while Selma got a task assigned to her, Patty did not.
Just a sky dream in a pies eye. TLDR: No such thing as “collect all”.
I did the IRS building to level 6, total cost to get there about $3.7 mil. To get to level 7 it wanted $3 mil.
I said jeepers creepers that’s steepers.
So I went to tstoaddicts.com to look it up. And they said it has a total of 9 levels.
level 7 is $3 mil.
level 8 is $5 mil.
and level 9 is $7 mil
for a total of $18.7 mil.
They said and I quote:
“At level 9 your radius is pretty big but not massive. It won’t cover your whole town at once or anything. It’ll still take some tapping to clear buildings and tasks.”
I only have $6 mil left so I’m stopping at level 6. It is pretty big enough for me and the fact that it clears both buildings and tasks is pretty cool.
Yeah I have too many of the more expensive buildings yet to build (the popsicle stick skyscraper, escalator to nowhere, magnifying glass, etc) to worry about spending millions on the tappy thing right now.
I’m pretty close to completing my monorail circuit, then I’ll probably just do tasks and quests until the halloween stuff rolls out. I hope against hope it’s not a bunch of little pain in the ass tasks that require you to log in constantly.
Is there ever anything to do in Krustyland once you’ve built the coaster, or is that pretty much it? Kind of disappointing. I could probably have bought all the land expansions in Krustyland by now, but just keep saving for 30k tickets and cashing them in. I’ve nothing to fill it with except donut items. I haven’t spent any donuts there and don’t plan to, it just doesn’t seem worth it. I’m not rolling in donuts (lol), and there’s dozens of Springfield buildings/chars I’d rather spend them on.
I noticed that the automatic job assigner didn’t assign jobs to anybody who has a recycling job (even if they weren’t doing anything at that moment because that plant was full), and it looks like anybody with a Springfield Heights job (even if not working on it) doesn’t get assigned one either. I’m still trying to figure out why Patty doesn’t get assigned a job even though Selma does.
