I got it. It just stands there looking evil and earning money.
This Halloween dealie is really laggy and unpleasant on my iPad. Anyone else notice how slow and jerky the graphics are?

I only get that when tapping on the campfire when the jobs are done. I have to wait for the kids to walk away before I can do anything.
Cool. Thanks for the info. ![]()
Yeah–same here.
Reminder that part three starts soon. About 30 hours or so. So be careful with assigning tasks tomorrow because if you put Homer on his 36-hour task tomorrow at dinnertime, you might be very disappointed when you wake up in the morning and need him. Granted, maybe Homer isn’t needed in part 3, but it’s more the general idea of having everyone be free when the level drops/first time you play after the level drops if you’ll be asleep like me.
My goal is to get my bonus % to 200 in this event. I think I can do it.
Now that we have that button that just puts everyone on (the same) task with one click and how easy they made it to click on everyone fairly quickly and hopefully we’ve all been playing long enough that we have plenty of money saved up to buy anything they’ll throw at us, it’s probably wise to put people on short tasks.
I usually just put them on 4-8 hour tasks. That way whenever I get back to playing, everyone is ready and waiting. But I’m still adding a few dollars to the bank rather than have everyone wandering around doing nothing while I’m at work or asleep.
I’ve got about $35m. So when a new task/event starts out and I have to buy something for a half million dollars it’s not that I have to save up for a week to get it. No more ‘grinding’, at least not for money. I still keep adding to, but it’s not an important part of the game right now, but if that is your style, I’d stick to only putting the lesser characters on long tasks and keeping the main characters ready to work.
Of course, even though I’ve said you should never use donuts to speed someone up, I’d make an exception here because A)this is a timed event and B)they’ve been a lot more liberal with handing them out over the past month or so.
Family Guy, OTOH, is another story altogether.
Is everyone enjoying collecting pills, Oscars, IKEA chairs, iphones, coffees, gummies, formies, doughnuts, dollars, XP, eggs, brains, rabbit ears, skeleton chests, junk, glass, plastic, cans, krustyland tickets… man, I don’t have this much on my plate in real life! :-p
I got the billion dollars and the last prize for Wealthy town so I stopped doing that. 99% of the buildings are in storage.
I made a nice little mono-rail track so I’m done doing that. They won’t let me put the recycling buildings in storage.
I’m just doing the Halloween and so far I’m on track which is rare for me.
Great, now I’m not spawning anything although I’m telling a rabbit story and when I hit “do it” on the shopkeeper’s quest it goes to random brown house.
Me too. D:
Yes, spawning stops until you’ve completed the first couple parts of Act III. I believe there’s a new mechanism for earning the Act III currency involving the brown house and others but I haven’t gotten that far yet.
If you want to complete the Shopkeepers daily challenge, you’ll have to either wait until you’ve progressed farther or find friends’ towns that are spawning bunnies.
I assume you meant skeletons?
Nope, you meant bunnies. I’m squashing my neighboreenos’ bunnies and skeletons, and it’s the bunnies that count toward the Shopkeeper’s challenge. (ETA: I didn’t realize your post about EA’s misprint was a week old.)
Well, when Milhouse finished his story he did pop out some bunnies, enough to knock out that quest.
I’m a little surprised at the order of prizes. I would have put Apu’s Apocalypse Jeep much higher on the list.
So whilst we battle this tentacled beastie, we cant upgrade the campfire at all?
Not that I can tell. Although I’m not in a hurry to get another spooky tent. I would like to squish some bunnies, however, so that I can complete the daily task. I could go wabbit hunting next door, but that takes a lot of time.
Not only am I unable to upgrade campfire or change what spawns in town - the four ‘halloween’ buildings (simpsons house, Kwik-e-mart, Moe’s tavern and Krusty Burger) now generate money when sending regulars on tasks (no more crafting items). Plus no more nightmares are spawning…once you commence the battle that’s the only Halloween-related activity
I’m in the same boat. The only thing I can do is fight Mn’sther or whatever it’s name is.
No, you should be doing one more thing: go to a brown house. There will be a drop down menu and you will be able to assign all your children to tasks that will earn event currency. Don’t send Lisa, Bart, Milhouse, or Martin if they’ll be needed to fight Monster. Click on the sunken temple to see a countdown for when he’ll be returning to fight.
This whole Act has been frustratingly opaque.
Wow. Good one, Bonaventure. I just assigned a bunch of kids just like you said. Would have been nice to have had this documented somewhere. Opaque is a good description.
