So the job is at the brown house, but the description says it happens at Krusty Murder? Which literally happen to be right next to each other in my town (only one brown house that’s not banked).
Thank you Bonaventure…I have to admit that Act3 sucks - I need 99 skeletons to upgrade the campfire and only one character available that spawns skeletons every 4hrs (and only 2 at that)…
I don’t get this act at all.
There is no way I will ever get enough snakes, (or whatever) to upgrade the campfire again. Maybe once. I am not exactly crushed by this, since I don’t need yet another tent, shack or shrubs.
My game is filled with glitches. When something is supposed to spawn zombies, for example, I get snakes, skeletons or rabbits. It’s completely random and I never get as many as I am supposed to.
I don’t know what is going on, and I don’t have the time to research the game. It is supposed to be mindless fun. When it becomes a research project, it loses its appeal.
I came across something today that said you should place four brown houses and then split your kids between the houses. Send the zombie kids to one, the snakes kids to another, etc., and somehow you’ll end up with more nightmares to crush. I don’t know the reasoning behind it; the math doesn’t add up to me, but several commenters say it works. I guess I’ll find out in a few hours.
I am in the same boat. Only one character that will spawn skeletons…ah well. I guess I won’t be upgrading the campground anymore.
Some people on the EA forums suggest that storing SH items makes the lag better and there was a patch today and maybe it fixed some glitches.
To follow up my earlier post, it appears that splitting the kids up among four brown houses did, indeed, result in a greater number of nightmares to squish. I’d say about three times as many per kid. No idea why.
Thanks for this. I was able to upgrade. Next up, bunnies, which I get a lot of.
It would be better if the damn star spawn gave up candy apples, too.
TSTOFriends confirms this: http://tstofriends.com/the-final-word-on-the-final-act-finally/
Though I didn’t realize we needed to use those houses. Grr, arrgh! I just got the stupid flying pumpkin so I’m on track I think.
This is explained by TSTO Addicts. You can only have 20 nightmares roaming at a time (not sure if that includes Star Spawn). So if you collect all of your Hunt Nightmares tasks at once, you only get 20 nightmares. I have 16 kids, some premium, so I can get about 40 nightmares if I squish a few between each task completion.
New level dropped today. Cat burglar and some girl I don’t remember that clearly.
I’m having the worst time finding skeletons to squish and that dividing characters up into brown houses spaced far apart doesn’t seem to be working for me, either. I still get the same number of ghosty/goulie/bunny/snakes and even though I have two characters generating skeletons, they must be quietly ascending to their final reward, cause they ain’t haunting my town.
I’m not impressed with this act. The campfire upgrade prizes suck. The crafting prizes, other than a couple, suck. The caramel apple prizes appear to be not worth the effort. Yet I keep tapping away like I’m on a morphine pump.
You can put everyone into the same house, but the campfire thing, unless I’m doing it wrong, seems to be on hold. I haven’t had that monster gone since it showed up. Even when it’s ‘gone’ I can’t use the campfire to get any of my goals, daily or otherwise.
Like I said, I feel like I’m doing something wrong.
Yeah there’s no more putting all the kids at the campfire and no more telling scary stories to spawn specific monsters.
What we’re doing now is 4 kids are throwing Christmas stuff at the monster at the campfire twice in a row (4 hrs each). All the other kids are in the brown house.
Then once the monster is gone from the campfire it goes to its tower in the ocean for 15 hours or something. At that time you just put the kids in he brown house(s) while you wait for the monster.
When he’s done with the ocean you poke him a bunch of times and get candy apples and then he goes back to the campfire and the 4 kids throw Christmas stuff again.
That’s how it’s been going for quite a while now. Boring as heck.
You did put your monster castle or whatever in the ocean right?
Yeah, I did that, but that means we’re basically done with the campfire stuff. I’m supposed to be getting skeletons and I find, maybe, one or two a day. I’m not going to finish that up. I hate stuff that just repeats over and over. I’m already kinda sick of the Springfield Heights thing. I’m at $390,000 and have, what, like 15 characters tied up in there since it started.
I just harvested database by himself and he spawned two bunnies when it was supposed to be skeletons. No wonder I can’t get to 30.
…yeah, the skeletons thing is just madness. Fundamentally broken. I’m getting between 2 and 4 skeletons every four hours if I’ve got the time to tap, and a bigger burst when the gate opens every 24. I should get to 30 skeletons by the time the fifth day prize unlocks then just have to hope the rest of the daily challenges are short ones. Or zombies. I get heaps of zombies.
M’nthster recovers in 16 hours if he doesn’t lose 10 tentacles. 4 kids can fight him for 4 hours. It looks like each kid kills around 1.5 tentacles, so most of them will have to fight him twice before he recovers.
I get skeletons from Bart (when he’s not at the campfire) and from Database. Just squished my 30th skeleton a few minutes ago.
Zombies are good to have. The wailing walls give you a LOT of bonus money and XP. 2.25% each, I think. For comparison, a good premium decoration costs 40 donuts and gives 2% bonus.
I don’t even know what today’s House of Evil Challenge was, but apparently I’ve finished it!
The Re-Neducation building is being built now - this is finally over.
I don’t see any “get additional candy apples for donuts” task, either.
Now, to craft a shit-ton of Creepy Walls for % points.
Do the wailing walls give a % boost too? Doesn’t look that way - when I check inventory all it says is XP and $ every few hours
