The stupid part is that it allows you to connect to Springfield Heights - and I’m sure you all have tons of extra room up there for a monorail, like I do.
I finished the monorail event. I got the tunnel. I placed the tunnel. Now I am done again with the monorail.
The first time around I only placed the stations and made a tiny oval of a track and put the tons of extra pieces in storage. This time around I just placed the tunnel. I didn’t add any new track pieces or anything.
I’ve been using the recycling thing to grind out donuts, so now I have enough monorail pieces in storage to build a track to Jupiter and back. Enough with the monorail.
Me too. I wouldn’t mind if they introduced new track pieces though. They need tracks that allow you to split off in different directions.
The curved pieces need to not take up so much real estate. You can put the staight pieces pretty close together. It’s also too easy to be off by one grid space, which is impossible to correct for with the available pieces.
Saw the prizes for this week. Prize #5 is a semi-truck with more railing, big whoop, BUT it also gives you 10 donuts, so Yea!.
Looks like a new Rio-themed event
What the jackfruit yo? Two events at the same time that use the same people. I got into the part where the event wants ribbons and went to send people on it and they want to use Homer and Lisa and Bart and Skinner. All people I need for the monorail event.
This is weak sauce EA.
On TSOAddicts they had a couple of pointers.
Ribbons don’t carry over from part to part. (Say part 1 to part 2.)
Also the tire fire gives out 2 ribbons every 3 hours.
No idea what I’m doing. Didn’t bother to read the instructions. I just saw that each character had a ribbon task so I sent around 100 people to complete that job. Dunno if it will net me anything.
Anyone gotten a mystery locker? Wondering if it’s worth it.
I did and got Jockey Bart and Furious D; which makes me happy because it was the only one I actually wanted.
If you click on the information icon, it gives you a list of the possibilities. Jockey Bart & Furious D, Tennis Marge, Ballet Ralph, Kung Fu Comic Book Guy, or Toreador Abe.
This weeks rail yard final reward is 20 rail sections - and TWENTY DONUTS
Off to the Dump!
<I’ve been working on the railroad, all the live long day…>
I just got Jockey Bart and Furious D as well. The only other skin listed here that I don’t have is Toreador Abe and I really don’t need that. Furious D is cool though.
Oh and can I reiterate what an unfun slog Springfield Heights is? I have all the land bought and I am still at $733M. Someday I will get Billionaire Haven but I won’t have a place to put it and grinding away to replenish the currencies needed there is such a pain. Getting those ads from marketing kills both the furnitures and yoga mats. I just maxed out the resorts and the only way to add revenue is to add stupid decorations, I guess.
I think just upgrading everything gets you to 1 Billion. Are you sure you don’t have more buildings to purchase in the store?
I’ve been grinding through every week to get the donuts. It’s such a nice relaxing pace now. I lucked out on what was requested at the railyard and already have over 15k blueprints today.
I must, I don’t have any more buildings showing for purchase. I still have to finish upgrading resorts though.
You have to upgrade to get to $1B. I would make a building, max out it’s upgrades and then put it in storage. Eventually I got to $1B.
Maybe I’ll get it once I’ve completed the upgrades for these last resorts I put in. It’s obnoxious though because the ads need yoga mats and furniture so my supply of yoga mats hover around zero as I build up the ads.
Last week’s prize of 10 donuts was a nice incentive to grind out the track pieces, and this week’s 20 donuts is even better. I had given up on the weekly 5-donut bonuses because it really was a grind, but now that they’ve relaxed the requirements, it’s do-able relatively quickly.
The first week of July, I bought Abe Lincoln and George Washington, and that took me down to zero donuts. As of yesterday, I was up to 126 due to the daily tasks, find Maggie, and last week’s 10-donut monorail prize. I think I won 5 donuts in the balloon pop game in Krustyland in there too. I took a chance on the prize locker for 75 donuts last night and ended up with Tennis Marge. I was hoping for Jockey Bart and Furious D, but I’m ok with Tennis Marge since I didn’t have a premium-payout skin for her. If I get the 20-donut monorail prize in time, I may try another locker for Bart and the horse.
