I was grinding through Springfield Heights pretty hard during the last TWO events and finally got to $1B this weekend. I’m positive they upped the payout today just to spite me.
I’m at $971M, I think I can finish this fecking thing this weekend.
I wonder why they keep pushing Springfield Heights. It’s as obnoxious as Krustyland, but with the added disadvantage of being on the same screen.
I finished the… whatever the hell this episode tie in thing was. Forgot already. I’m enjoying my minimal time logging in. Like a couple times a day, set Marge back to speeding up corn, clear handshakes, log back out. No grinding, no purpose. Just … taking a break while not abandoning my town.

I guess I might buy a Gil deal, but probably not. Nothing I really want. I so desperately wanted premium items when I had no donuts and now that I have a stash, I buy nothing.
The SH bonus allowed me to finish all of the silly building upgrade quests, and I’m happy about that. The only quest in my task bar now is finishing the money mountain, and I have no intention on finishing that.
I agree that it’s nice not to feel compelled to log in. I’m certain the Halloween event will be another gotta play three or four times a day thing. I may just let it go and not worry about it.
To me, getting the money mountain is worth it. It costs a lot to get through the quest but if you have the money, it’s doable. The task payouts for the Monty Moneybags skin is sizeable:

I did finish up Springfield Heights this weekend, which was nice. I’ll never have to do that again (unless they expand it…) I forgot that it came with Rich Texan’s Daughter at the end.
I also bought the hot tub for Fat Tony with that weekend deal. I’m thinking about getting Powel Motors as well. I currently have 288 donuts but I also know that Halloween is coming up soon.
$1800/450 is the best payout I’ve seen for any character I think. Maybe I’ll take another look at it. I’m at level seven or something.
I bought the golf course from Gil to put on my little Burns private island. And it was just a putting green 
Halloween update has apparently dropped. Just not for Android users quite yet.
I was able to update on my Kindle.
And a new skin right off the bat. Things are looking pretty ice cream for Ol’ Drunky in this event.

I powered through $800 million in SH building updates during the bonus period and finally hit $1 billion. I’m not far from done with the money mountain now, too. It will be nice to have them off my conscience. It was such a relief when I finished that redwood tree.
Someday I’ll put my monorail together.
The new update looks like another long slog.
ETA: Oh, and not to humble brag, but I picked up Cool Homer from the discount rack.
It’s nice that you can craft more than one thing at a time now. It also allows you to see how many more you have stored when placing items.
Neither a good or a bad thing, but the update seems to have enabled autosleep so if I don’t touch things for awhile it dims then goes black.

Remember the good old days when events weren’t “Do these 20 different things for 4 different kinds of currency”? Like “Whack snakes, get eggs, leave them in a friend’s town, get points for prizes”?
Yeah, I miss events that don’t need flow-charts and project management software too.
Looks like the update is in the Google app store now so Droid users can get it.
They have a cobblestone road available for 40 donuts. Interesting.
It also looks like they tweaked the look of the characters who have more than one skin. When you scroll through, they look different.
You need Homer and Lisa to start – I have homer eating the key to the city right now so I have to wait 2 hours.
I splurged on the Mystery Jack O’ Lantern and got the pile of nightmares. I was hoping for the Witch Marge skin.
It says that you can send multiple people to attack the monsters but I don’t seem to be able to. Is that coming up?
When you send someone out to attack a monster up above that part of the event page it’ll say like “1/3” and there are arrows on either side of that and they look like “<” and “>”. So you tap the arrow pointing to the right and it’ll take you to page “2/3” and then let select another character to go attack another monster. Then hit the right “>” again to go to page three and send a third character out to fight.
It took me a while to figure that out last night.
