The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I ended up getting her and I’m stuck now because her first task is to go on a flight but the airport doesn’t have a flight available for her. :smack:

I’ve got monkeys!

What does the Osaka virus do? I mean, do we get a group prize if it reaches a certain level?

I don’t even know how to increase the score. Anybody?

It’s not a group prize, not sure what the percentage means. The counter at the top increases for each building you tap after a friend has. The number of infected increase with increasing levels, and infected give more currency.

Yeah, I think it’s just a way to earn more of … whatever it is they give. Balls? Cards? Tickets?

I like the idea but it wasn’t implemented well. Which I guess is the unofficial tagline of 90% of the events the last two years.

I mean, this event is mostly fine. It’s not annoying or frustrating. It’s just not particularly fun or anything special.

Well, today my Heights will finally break $1b. Whoo-hoo!

I could not get on at all for most of yesterday, presumably because of the big internet outage. I’m running behind!

I got all the crafted items now I just need to keep buying extras. If you didn’t notice, when you buy one painted house it appears to give you many more in your inventory. I just bought 2 green ones and ended up with 6 in inventory!

I am kind of excited to build my different tourist towns when the event is over. I’ve been doing that for the last few events - collect all the stuff and then when it’s over lay it out all nice. Now that I can afford a ton of land I am not too restricted with layout and I can do stuff like add water and roads. It’s actually pretty fun!

I just realized that tapping the globe will get you trivia.

That’s what I’m doing, too. I made a nice Japan area, and have enough stuff in storage for two more, along with the other regions.

My airport is huge already, and I still have stuff in storage for that too. Might even have enough to make a second airport, once I have funds for extra land.

Today I started reorganizing my Springfield to look a little more like a real town, and not just a bunch of buildings vomited up onto the landscape. It’s gonna take even longer than I was expecting…

Just spent $20,000 (or whatever the currency is) on a bunch of brazilwood trees and colorful houses. Will have my airport properly surrounded by slums, thank you very much!

Takedown update is out.

Glad I crafted the hell out of the 19K pins I had built up !

Exactly.

(If by “crafted” you mean bought a lot of stuff).

And now there’s an episode tie-in. Channel 6 now has a week-long task!

Was the new task just the Milhouse based sports one? All that happened after updating is that Marge and Mrs. Muntz had tasks that had no dialogue associated.

Norbert is cool but it’s annoying to tap on him accidentally several times in a row. I think he’ll be a permanent 24 hour guy. Heh, his 24 hour “look for fossils” task takes place at the retirement home.

Yeah, it was mostly just Milhouse. His new 4-hour task with Bart is the best.

I hope we get several days off… We usually don’t get new content over the weekend. It’d be nice to take a break for a few days.

I tidied up my friends list and hid everyone who doesn’t seem to be playing anymore (you could tell by their number of pins on the last event) and it sure did make visiting friends during the event easier and more quick.

I need some new neighboreenos though. Anyone who doesn’t have ZipperJJ already, give me an “add”!

And please be kind to your end-of-the-alphabet pals and visit your friends in reverse-alphabetical order every other day during events, k? Me and Xamovo and UncleCrappy thank you!

I tidied up a bit too, seeing the number of pins made that exercise very easy! And I tried to visit the Z-end of my friends list a few times during that event, as I feel bad about that sometimes. I don’t have UncleCrappy added yet, but I’ll do that soon!

I’m glad for a break too. I didn’t mind the airplane “quiz”, and actually found it a fun way to discuss geography and travel with my 8yo.

I might spend some time over the next few weeks on reorganizing Springfield Heights, and/or building more monorail bits for future expansion …
