That’s what I’ve been doing. Fill the two spotters first and then left overs go on the main stage.
It also appears to give a higher bonus when a character with a higher star rank is placed in the “bonus” slot, so watch that auto-fill, because it doesn’t have your best interests at heart.

I’m apparently getting free donuts.
Since Sunday about once a day when I turn on my kindle to play the Simpsons I get a message saying my purchase from the store was successful.
Except I haven’t been buying anything from the store. When I poked around in game I eventually noticed I had more donuts than before. At first I chalked it up to maybe I had bought some late at night when I was half asleep and just didn’t remember.
Then it happened again on Monday. Huh.
Then again on Tuesday. I got worried that I had somehow set it up to auto-buy 3-400 donuts a day. Well money is a little tight right now and I don’t want to be spending money on the Simpsons. So I checked my bank account and the transactions on my one credit card. Nothing there was listed indicating I was being charged for the donuts. Ok.
It happened again yesterday. More donuts. I checked the bank and credit card accounts again. Still no charges.
It happened again this morning. I checked my accounts. Still no charges. There were charges for the gas I bought Tuesday and the book I bought off of Amazon last night but nothing from EA or even mystery charges.
On Saturday I had 120 something donuts now I am up to 1700 something.
I’m not going to complain.
Anyone else?
I also checked my digital orders on Amazon and none of them are listed. They have the legitimate purchase of donuts I made on the 2nd with Amazon Coins. But that’s it. Also my Amazon coins haven’t gone down. I don’t have enough to make a purchase for 300 donuts anyways.
Holy donuts, dude. I’ve never had more than 200 donuts at one time and now you are on the mother lode!

I’ll trade problems. Still not fixed, and my customer service is either not responding or stuck in an infinite loop and asking me to do things I confirmed several steps ago, I think I’m on my 3rd or 4th person handling it.
Not sure if a glitch or not: I just got the penultimate prize (tickets), but when I unlocked the drummer guy I also got the quest that is normally after unlocking all prizes to collect things for bonuts. So apparently I’m both gaining prizes and donuts.
It happened again yesterday. I got another 300 donuts.
It happened again this morning but I only got 100 donuts.
WTF glitch. Where’s my other 200 free donuts?
I’m up to 2145 donuts now.

I just logged in to switch up the Jams and got another 300 donuts.
I checked my bank and credit card accounts. Still no charges. I checked Amazons digital orders again and still the last listed order was when I legit bought donuts last week.
Anyone else finding this event to be much less stressful than the last one? I’m logging in 2-4 times per day as usual, hitting up my friends once a day (with a couple days skipped as usual) and have gotten the prizes with time to spare.
The last event I was doing the same and had to buy both the “neighbor bonus pass” and pay to get final prizes.
Plus this event gives use honest-to-Og Weird Al to play with, forever, so it’s a total win!
And I’m gonna end up with 9 bonuts because they gave us the bonuts two prizes early.
It is less stressful to me as well. But I might have to end up paying a little bit for the last prize since it ends today and I’ll only have two more chances to collect. If I do it should be a small amount of donuts. I don’t really care though since I’ve so many free ones. I’m up to 3131 donuts now.

Cool. It is nice to know it’s not just me. I got a tiny bump of free donuts last night and I’m now up to 3194.
I’m just hoping that going into Act 2 of the event doesn’t “fix” it. I’d like to see if it’ll get up to 5000.
Act II has a separate stage that we need to build. On one hand “Ugh, I don’t need another stage in my Springfield” on the other “Cool, I can make my own Riotfest” on the other hand “Meh, whatever.”
I’m just annoyed that hitting that quest icon doesn’t take you to wondering fans anymore and I gotta go find them manually. What is this Communist Springfield?
Maybe after I get the new stage built it’ll go back to that.

Well the glitch is still working into Act 2. I got a small bump of 60 donuts.
