I posted my EA name on TSTOAddicts, and went from a handful of neighboreenos solely from here, to maxed-out, in less than 2 days. Those of you who have been maxed-out on neighbors will understand my newfound struggle to keep up with regular neighbor visits. I’m working towards doing the first 50 at the beginning of my day, and the last 50 at the end of my day; it seems like that will maximize my visit potential while minimizing the time I spend waiting for the servers to sync/Springfields to load.
Also, I liberally dropped lawyers in every Springfield I visited, before I understood they’re a finite resource (and almost ran out). Now I’m only dropping a couple at a time, mostly to my SDMB neighbors, until I can get my lawyer count back up.
EDIT: I wish I could get in on the free donut glitch. I want several things for my Springfield that I don’t have the donuts for, and can’t justify spending the $$ for them at this time.
I so don’t care about this event any more. I’m plugging away but it’s out of “ugh, just get it over with”. They’ve done a good job about bringing in long-requested items, good IDEAS about events (execution aside), things like the vault and more frequent Gil visits. Some of the mini game aspects are interesting, like the digging for treasure. It’s just that they’re all the same. Too long, too crappy prizes (which are now straight-up repeats when not recolors), too frequent, same structure and pace, too much going on.
I miss the wheel. I miss shooting down aliens. I miss community prizes. Hell, I even miss Easter.
Well people, never let anyone tell you that dreams don’t come true. Cuz they do.
This morning I got another free donut bump and am now up to 5118 donuts. I even spent several hundred on Rock Star Maggie and a couple of other things.
Do we think we’ll get a break after this event or right into Halloween? I vote break. I’ve already crafted everything so I’m just collecting glasses prizes to get alaska, take a few days off, hit act III… with nothing to craft
I bought the Jazzy Goodtime’s building and it gave almost everyone in Springfield a 4-hour task that puts them there. I use the Unemployment Office to put everyone on jobs and during events I set them for 4 hours and everyone goes to brunch.
It’s kind of weird.
Do any other buildings do this? (Give everyone a new task)
I just got Manager Cleetus and his monster truck this morning. It actually looks pretty cool so far and it looks like the tasks are worth bonus amounts.
For my Homerpalooza Prizes board it says that I won all the prized and to keep collecting to earn donuts but it doesn’t seem to be counting them – at least I don’t have an open task in the task book for it. Anyone else getting this?
The Cletus skin is premium-payout, so that’s nice. I’m ok with that instead of another forgettable one-off character.
Since I got him, I’m going to take a long break. He has a questline, but it’ll keep. I could wrack up bonuts, but if I don’t take a few days off I’m going to quit before Halloween. Hopefully it will be good this year.
These end of these events are pissing me off. The game says, “Hurry up and get your stuff the event is about to end.” So I spend about 80 donuts to get Cletus skin cuz I wasn’t going to make it last night and then this morning the event is still going and I could have kept playing and didn’t need to spend all those donuts.
Oh well. Because of the donut glitch I’m still sitting at a little over 8500 donuts.
Well, removal update for this event is in the store. And New County Fair Mini Event coming tomorrow.
Also after the update you can buy the groupies and the lawyer all for 50 donuts, which I did, and they come with 1 quest. After that, it’s just tapping on them, they do nothing. So probably not worth it for folks who didn’t get the glitch.
