I got Dracula, paid for two of the other monsters (so seven total) but I don’t see how I’ll finish defeating Burns. Assuming the last set is the monsters again, I still need at least one day past the end of the event. Does finishing off Burns even do anything?
Dracula’s character arc is completely underwhelming.
I won’t finish defeating Montymort in time either.
I read on reddit that there’s a Montymort bug that your defeats of him reset back to zero or from 2 to 1. So EA think it’s perfectly cromulent. Whatever.
I’ve loved this game for … 4 years? While this wasn’t the worst event, it sucks pretty bad and if Christmas blows, I might be out.
Thanksgiving update hit app stores at various times yesterday
I didn’t get the update. I’m not sure why.
It’s in the app store. It took a long time for it to appear in iOS store, and then I personally still didn’t have it for a while. Maybe you’re on the shit list too.
It finally showed up for me. I’ll get it later.
I don’t know about drunky, but my free donuts glitch ended. 
It’s weird that the blackfriday/cybermonday boxes end today, a Monday, so keep an eye out tomorrow for a Christmas update. Usually updates are Tuesdays and with no event happening, it seems more likely than not. God forbid we get a couple days off.
I bought one box. I got the ESPN-esque desk and dude. I got the enormous Japanese castle for my free box. I usually get a bunch of boxes, but there was too much crap in most of them for me to risk my donuts. My good luck with boxes ended during Halloween when I ended up with that weird Willie giant spider in the sandbox thing. I mean, I LOVED that THOH segment, but it’s a weird deco for my town.
Some new content today. Not quite christmas (only on second or third task. First one was 6 seconds) but christmas prepping. No snow, but house lights for sale and a new mystery box. Good price, crappy stuff.
Watch out everyone. The Christmas lights are for sale whether you have them already or not.
Is there a way to get a second one? Can’t make a loop without it.
Supposedly there is an update coming, although it’s getting pretty late. Nevertheless, maybe don’t send everyone off for overnight tasks for a bit.

I got it. It looks like a fairly standard event so far.
Looks slightly more fun and less grind-y than Halloween. Plus I love Kang and Kodos, so more of them is great. The prizes seem ok. Nothing I can see that is amazing, but Halloween disappointed on that end too. Don’t get too excited for the mystery boxes you can win. They’re not real mystery boxes.
If you stored your christmas stuff, dig it out. Some of it (igloos, first set of snow-family, probably more) offer bonuses.
I would say my biggest complaint is that the funzos are so hard to see. What idiot at EA thinks a tiny speck the same color as the pavement is a good idea to find in friends’ towns? In your own town you can hit the take me to them button, but ugh… friends visits.
Yeah, agreed. The button helps but I tried to find some in neighbor towns last night and gave up after a couple tries.
If we’re lucky, they’ll add color to them.
What does the ice do that you can get with the boxes? Will it just turn to water later?
Glad I’m not the only one having a bit of a tough time finding those damn Funzos…
Yeah, the “Find Funzo” button helps, but they get lost in the clutter of the town and if they just stand there behind a building it still doesn’t help.
I won ice patches twice with the minigame. I ass-u-me it will remain ice after everything is all done.
