New update in app stores. Event doesn’t start till 2GMT the 21st.
Since iOS has been really slow at putting updates in the store, pre-loading it with a start time later is a great improvement.
We’ll see how the event actually is.
Looking at the new event a bit this morning. It really looks like a re-skinned Battle Royale. Hope, I’m wrong and they have some new interesting mechanic.
Pretty much yeah. But I’m ok with that since there’s a lot of new characters this time, which is what I care about.

Tardis’s’ are now for sell. I have about 6 so far.
I am disappointed that the call boxes have a siren sound when you tap them. I was really hoping to hear the TARDIS wooshing.
Is it only acting screwy for me? I can’t log in today.
Seems to be widespread. I had to restart my phone, then it tried to log me in under the name of ‘1’.
I hit logout and then it let me login under my usual account. I got a server can’t be reached message a few times and then I finally got in.
There’s an update in the app stores. I couldn’t log in until I updated, then I had to do my age and login again and then I was fine.
A new something is starting. I guess a small mini update today or tomorrow, another big event next week. It’s not even worth like discussing strategies or talking about OMG NEW EVENT because there’s always a new event now and the format is exactly the same.
Still can’t get in. Did the update. Nothing is working.
I deleted the app and reinstalled it, and that worked. Took a looooooong time to install all the updates - don’t do this unless you’re on wi-fi.
The update was a teaser for a bigger event. Bigger event hasn’t started yet but probably will sometime in the next week. Sure hope it breaks the boring formula of the last couple of events.

They seem to be running out of good items to offer as prizes, too. I’d say that the game can’t go on forever, but obviously the show has…
The show has GOT to end soon, right? I mean, they broke all the records that can conceivably be done. They have go stop someday… I’m guessing Apu will be relegated to background now, so there’s another character down (the recent wall of all of Ned’s dead ex wives was really funny) after Edna. Not Simpson family, but major characters whose absences are/would be felt.
And you can hear in the voices that the actors are not 28 anymore. They’re all starting to sound like Lunch Lady Doris (another long-gone person whose hole wasn’t filled). Dan’s not going to have to “do” Abe’s voice soon. He’s just going to be Abe.
Not that I want it gone, but man, I can’t believe it’s STILL going.
What I want gone is these idiotic “Do jobs to earn one-time currency to get one-use buildings that can’t (usually) be used for jobs later to earn more one-time currency”, repeat 3 times crap. How about something new. I don’t care about the prizes but these “do chores to get stuff to make the next round of chores come faster” fests are boring.

Yeah, I hate these and I’m doing some now.
I just found out about the money & XP bonus from the Beach Hideaways from the Springfield Heights event. I never finished upgrading them and had them in storage. So I’m doing that now and having to craft coffee cups to be able to craft pills to be able to craft golden statues is annoying as hell. But I want that 100% bonus from having all 5 Beach Hideaways fully upgraded.
I am excited about Itchy and Scratchy Land though. I just hope it doesn’t end up useless like Krustyland. Unless I missed something from that as well.
