I’ve done the above 3 times since I posted it and, yeah, it does work. I don’t know if it’s 100k or a multiple of the number of items I’ve dug up, but the above technique does work and it’s replicable.
This explains the mystery bonuts I get sometimes when starting the game
Seems to be about 4300 xp before all my crazy multipliers kick in and end up giving me about 600000 xp.

The extra percentage you get to money and xp collected depending on what items you have in your springfield. You can see it when you click on the conformity stats in the lower left. I’m guessing yours is about 450ish.
I just happen to be running the Mulitplier today because I had a free one in storage. I tried this trick but it didn’t work for me though – I won two items from the burial grounds, then went out and collected from buildings, exited, and then went back into the game. Do you have to leave XP and money floating and not counted for it to work?
No. I deliberately let everything get collected first
Hmm. Here are the steps I just took:
- Started out with 28 pickaxes. XP is 456,251
- I dug for 3 prizes. XP at the end of this was 471k.
- Went through, got some more prizes. Ending XP before I exited was 472,716.
- Exited the game.
- Immediately re-entered. (in other words, did nothing else on my phone but re-tap the game icon.)
- I was greeted with this.
- Ending XP: 32,596
Additional XP gained: 59,880. If it’s dependent upon the number of prizes, then 19,960 per prize.
That first number should be 456,261.
I did it 3 times in a row and it added another base 2222 in xp (so total about 900k in my game). Also, just going to the friends screen and back triggered it without exiting.

But, to make sure, you’re confirming that there is a bug here?
Yeah, seems to be. This XP appears to be in addition to the 15 base xp / square or 525 base xp for the whole field.
More like 75%, if we are talking the same thing…
I’m not sure. I can’t access that image. I’m not talking about your conformity percentage. You have to click on the stars. If you’re getting 19,960 per prize than yours is actually around 180% I think.

To be honest, I completely ignore this part of the game.
Hmmm. Must be something wrong in my calculation or my understanding. There used to be a ‘hidden’ xp boost from certain Springfield Height buildings, but I thought they fixed that in a recent(ish) update. Maybe not though.
No, it’s not fixed. I have a 500% bonus according to the stars, but I’m really pulling 700% when I tap.
