The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I’ve got this game set up where I’m cranking out 24-30 donuts every 4 hours.

New event has started today. It looks like it is four “mini-event” style activities in a row, lasting one week each.

I was wondering when they were going to have a new event, seems like it’s been a while. I just put Bart on a three hour task at the recycling area so I have to circle back after that.

Event starts with 6 second tasks for Homer, Bart, and Lisa.

I just got a huge wonking update today for the game and now it’s zoomed in a little too far. I can’t pull it back further to get a wider view.

And another update to the update. This one is 974 MB.

I checked the Google store thing and there are no updates since the event update of a few days ago (6-3-2019 is the latest update date).

I am back into the game. I got the update right after my phone had an update this morning so I’d wager that it dumped the local TSTO content.

In my game the Jet Bike is on sale for 20 donuts. At 2% bonus per, it’s one of the best deals out there. I just bought a bunch and am thinking of buying more.

As for the update, meh. I’m not all that impressed with the send everyone on four hour tasks for a week and we’ll give you some stuff updates. I wish there was more gameplay within the game like there was a couple of years ago.

Does the yellow sub ever return with anything?

Boardwalk tiles occasionally and a couple of other things I can’t remember right now. It’s been awhile since I sent it down. I quit because it’s useless stuff to me that you can’t sell so it just sits in my inventory and goes against the item cap (I don’t know what the cap is but I don’t want to run into it).

So, I have about 1,200 donuts which are burning a hole in my pocket. Should I spend them on:

  1. Mr. Burns Mystery boxes @ 6 donuts per?
  2. Yearbook Mystery Box items @ 30 donuts per?
  3. In the vault, I can buy multiples of two items (Left-handed Roadster, Stiletto Sculpture) for 30 donuts, giving 2% bonus increases each?

I’m kind of thinking the MBMB (#1) is the smart play here as it will gain me the newsvan (2%), the itchy and scratchy sign (2%), and the occasional box of donuts (usually 10, sometimes 30), and the thing just seems to cycle through the prizes… so if I’m correct, I’ll gain 4% on 42 donuts (plus some cash as well as some more donuts).

Thoughts? Votes? Corrections to my logic/math?

MBMBs are always the best donut to bonus deal. You wind up with a lot of newsvans and itchy and scratchy signs though to place somewhere. They stack fairly well.

You also end up with a million lard lad stores in your inventory.

If you’re patient the yearbook has some very good items bonus-wise: both whales, flag bundle, whacking day bundle etc.

And if it doesn’t bother your consciousness you can get a huge bonus for free with the mansion duplication exploit.

Arghh, conscience not consciousness!

The Vault stuff is ok. The yearbook stuff is better value and better prices and better variety.

Mystery Boxes have some flat out duds. And they’re often a prize for daily tasks, so you can still get them without spending donuts on them.

Please explain the mansion exploit.

I found it on the tapped out reddit and it took some trial and error to get it working. Here’s what I remember I did:

  1. Group three same-level Classic Mansions
  2. From the group popup place one of them, then cancel
  3. Go to the Neighborhood screen, then immediately back to your own Springfield
  4. In your building inventory there should now be a Classic Mansion with -1 for amount
  5. Do a hard quit with the task manager and restart
  6. Now you can place an unlimited number of mansions from your building inventory.

People have also made it work with Modern Mansions and other Springfield Heights buildings.

I’ll have to give it a shot.

I decided to spend all my donuts on Yearbook stuff. 1,750 donuts - all gone! :frowning:

I actually missed the final prize building from the collect red crystals storyline. I think this is the first time that I didn’t finish all the tasks in this game, at least since way back when I first started.
