Maybe I’m just not dedicated enough. I found it impossible to finish.
I play this game a LOT and I barely got through it - had maybe 18 hours left to finish by the time I actually finished.
I feel a lot better. I didn’t get the last two prizes and I played at least twice a day, usually 3-4. The only times I don’t get the prizes is when the math is way off.
Plus with these last few events? Daily challenges don’t pay event currency. That might have been what pushed us all over the hump in the olden days.
New event today, the Flanders family reunion. I already had 1,200 odd donuts, so went ahead and spent half of them on Flanders people and items.

This morning has been a beyatch. Slow moving, and I’ve been forced to update this game no fewer than three times - 1.6gigs, 900mb, 900mb. Anyone else?
I thought the same thing. I think the number of characters collecting currency sped up the event.
I haven’t had any problems with updates. I understand that when you get updates that large, it’s a sign that you’re running out of available memory on your device, so that may be something to look into.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised that I jammed through the event so quickly - I do have quests to do now though, but the main stuff was completed. I did buy the spinach cart and Ned’s parents. I had plenty of donuts and I wanted some help for the event, so I got the spinach cart, then I couldn’t resist getting CBGBs so I got Ned’s parents as well.
I got 6 donuts on my daily challenge today. That was the first time I’ve seen that - 1 or 3 donuts was the only donut-based reward in the past.
What was the challenge? My DC today was for 3 donuts (send pessimists to bitch about something).
It was a 4 hour challenge for Comic Book Guy.
I got a 6-donut challenge today as well - have Lisa perform for 60 minutes at her stage.
I got the same Lisa task today but for three donuts.
New content today, it’s supposed to start at 11:00 Eastern, per TSTO Addicts.

I didn’t get all the stuff last event. I played a lot but somehow I missed the last prize or two. I hate when it’s close and it shouldn’t be. Don’t make boring, cookie cutter events ALSO be a grind.
I can’t play the game let alone the event. The update is borked for Kindle. Since last night when it updated I haven’t been able to get in for more than thirty seconds or so before getting kicked out. I hope a patch is delivered quickly.
Still having problems, Personal?
I finished this one a crazy long time ago and it’s still sitting on my screen. I assume there will be a new round or something in this “Simpson babies” event, but for now it’s been pretty short.
…Personal isn’t the only one that can’t log in for more than 30 seconds, it seems like the problem is wide-spread. I’ve been able to log in once and get everyone sent on the task before the game crashes. 
Its good to hear that its short because when they finally get the game fixed I suspect we won’t have a lot of time to finish the event!
When I have trouble logging in, I make sure to close the running instance of the game, then restart it. That always solves my connection problems.
