…nope. Its a bug. That got introduced with the last update that hasn’t been fixed yet. You can play for 30 seconds that it crashes, same as Personal and many others.
Huh. Not happening to me and I’m updated according to the app store.

Its probably working for most players but for a lot of players it isn’t. It seems to depend on the device.
Kindle Fire, some Samsung devices and BlueStacks are all FUBARed. This is the longest I’ve gone without having played in the five or six years since I started. I’m assuming it won’t be playable until the event is taken down. If it’s fixed before that I should be alright based on the number of donuts I have. But I’m not holding my breath.
While cleaning today I came across an old LG tablet. Formatted it and installed TSTO. It works! Slow, but I was able to clear my town and start week 1 and week 2 of the event. I’m going to power through and see how far I can get before tapping into my donut supply, although I did snag little Monty.
There was an update today that, according to TSTOAddicts, patches the issues. The new quest for the event was supposed to start this morning as well.
Oops, looks like Week 3 is starting tomorrow. I was wondering where it was…

Oops. Wait, I guess it was week 2 that started for me. Apparently, I haven’t logged in for a few days!!
Yeah, a couple hours of my life wasted last night getting that old tablet in shape. Today’s patch worked, and I’m back on my normal device. I apparently missed a Gil deal with a couple of characters I would’ve liked to have had, but I’m sure I’ll have my opportunity down the road.
So:
- My donut harvesting has exhausted the items available in the book. Now up to 51 donuts every four hours.
- What do I do now?
- The service interruptions have gotten more frequent. Which reminds me:
- Why does a game which needs over a gigabyte on my phone require a 24/7 rock-solid data connection, else “sorry for all the money/XP you just lost when the connection broke just as you finished tapping over 300 people in 45 seconds? Oh, and…”

I’ve had all of those thoughts as well. The time away because if the Kindle glitch cured me of playing every day (although I did finish the event). It’s become neither for not challenging.
New event starting today, starring Krusty. Sideshow Raheem and his building are available for purchase, as well as the Krusty Clown College (I guess Krusty Klown Kollege was probably a bit much, even for the Simpsons).

I’m glad for the new event. But this Bart screen thing has got to get fixed. It’s to the point where I’m not even sending characters on tasks unless they’re part of an event or a bonus. The game crashes way too often.
I have gone to playing on my phone because of that.
With this event dropping so quickly on the heels of the last one, I’m not holding on to any high hopes for a good Halloween.
Because of the Bart screen glitch I’m just finishing this event tonight. I doubt I finish the next.
No update but to announce I have finally purchased all of the land available for cash. Yay, me!
