The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I didn’t think it was possible. After mining as much as I could I actually ran out of money.

I just hit 1001%. I have to build a little more money up before I can do some serious mining.

Spring has come to Springfield. And so has the circus.

I, of course, sent all my characters on 8 hour tasks just before I got the update. D’oh!

I think there might be a bug for the 3rd decoration. It needs 155 peanuts, but I was getting “storage full” for characters after collecting 115 peanuts. It’s kind of hard to explain.

Basically, I lucked out that after passing 115, I still had enough other characters ‘in queue’ to reach 155.

So bottom line I think. For decoration #3, try to collect under 115 peanuts. Then make sure to put enough people on the task that you will reach all the way to 155 peanuts.

Or hopefully they just fix it soon.

Same thing for the 4th decoration, except the numbers are 155 and you need to reach 195.

And I only had enough queued up to reach 192, so now I’m stuck.

ETA. OK. You can still manually find a character and send them to get resources. Crisis averted!

I forgot that I had an XP Collider charge available so I used that over the weekend. I did some XP farming with the rat trucks and bought Springfield Gorge and the Captain Bob skin. Those were the only two bonus items available at the time. Wow, Springfield Gorge is huge and mostly worthless. I still have donuts so I bought the Cirque de Puree, Sven Golly, and parade floats today. I’m contemplating getting the Burnsum and Bailey Circus but I find it annoying to get doubles of characters. They seem unnecessary.

One thing I didn’t do until fairly recently was use the multiplier. Mainly because I’m an idiot. I guess if you’re at a low level it’s hard to make up the 25 donuts for 10 days. But where I am now, I have it going all the time.

I have no idea where the cutoff point would be as to when it makes sense to always have the multiplier running.

The bug I mentioned earlier has been patched it seems.

I went from never having it running (and completely forgetting I have it) to always having in running. All thanks to this thread. I’m not sure if there is a time when you shouldn’t do it. I’m at over 1200%

According to the Internets, there is a new event starting on the 13th.

I just got the update.

Thanks for the heads up. My game has actually been crashing on start up for a while now and the update seems to have fixed it.

I’ve been playing this game for a few weeks. Came in at the end of the circus update.

I’ve just got the Office of Unemployment. I see it’s supposed to allow me to send many characters on jobs at once. But it’s nor working for me. It shows a list, no 4 hr jobs available, rush all 8 hr jobs (Rush 1 job) no 12hr jobs available, Rush all 24 hr jobs (rush 1 job).

Most of my characters are currently unoccupied. They have available jobs in 4hr, 8hr,12hr,24hr slots, waiting to be assigned.

What am I doing wrong?

Do you have any tasks awaiting, such as, “Send all Springielders to…”. I believe those characters with tasks awaiting are not included in the unemployment office. I hope that makes sense.

I’ve got a growing list of tasks in my taskbar. Every time I complete one, two more pop up. Is it even possible to clear the list?

There are several tasks for specific characters. And a few that can be assigned to various characters.

  • Crackdown part 3, make youth serve time (6 jobs)
  • 99 Luft-Word-Ballons Pt.1 - Make Springfielders Tap Away Their Thoughts (15 jobs)
  • Running with the bullies pt 16 - Make citizens eat at luigis (20 jobs)

Is this the sort of thing that will stop me assigning jobs at the office?

Yes, I believe that is exactly your issue. And you can certainly clear the task bar, but there will be times when it’s pretty full.

okay, thanks.

To confirm, that’s exactly what happens. Every character who can fulfill any of the ‘quest tasks’ available… from actual quests to the daily challenge… is removed from the unemployment rolls.

Which kinda makes sense, but it is still irritating.

Anyway, just assigning the required # of characters doesn’t solve the problem as the game doesn’t count assignees, just completions.

In short, your only solution is to clear out all tasks via completing them.

On the Daily Challenges, I’ve won the broken token a couple times. The first time, I was able to cash it in at the item store but the last two I couldn’t. Anyone else encounter that?

I think the option to spend them will reappear from time to time. Save them and wait.
