I know it’s easier to say “Hey everyone, here’s my username, friend me” but you just won’t get as many that way.
I think this way is going to work better. It’s a lot of typing, but you only have to do it once and IME you’ll end up with a lot more friends.
Jeebus, whoever plays as minioncat … That’s some serious housing developments you’ve got going there! Row after row of identical houses, like the IRL suburbs in which I grew up. Nice.
ETA: I appear to not be on the list. I believe I’m playing as “jcage710” but, long story, I’m actually not certain of that. Can someone who has Simpsonsfriended me confirm or deny, please, before I go mucking up our running username list?
Ender, I’m sending you a friend request now as well, for good measure. Welcome to your newest addiction!
So I’m going through my friend’s towns and wanted to know. For those of you on level 36 with huge scrolling towns with a seaport and rows and rows of houses and a separate Krustyland section…what do you do to collect? Are you in every hour of tap all the buildings or is there an easier or more automatic means of collecting?
I think it’s possible to use your Origins account online to edit your friends list and have us all pop up in Simpsons: Tapped Out without trying to do it on the device. But don’t quote me on that.
Probably the most frustrating part of this game is the login. It takes about a minute to log in each time as it has to sync with the network. If you close the app or even just black the screen, it has to reload again upon opening. And the number of times it loses my login information, forcing me to retype my e-mail and password? It’s like 1/4 times coming into the game.
And now the network is down completely, which means I can’t get into it. Lovely.
Thanks! I love my maze, but I no longer love where it is. I am just too lazy to move it. It’s great when I throw someone on a task that requires a bench and the one at the centre of the maze is the one they go to.
I have now collected my tile twice by accident. I should have another ripe and ready this evening. I will endeavor to be more careful with the handshake collections.
When I hit a friend’s town, I go right to the boardwalk to tap that tile. If it’s not there, I tap whatever’s closest. I will start to keep a lookout for the stage and Channel 6.
I keep two handshakes there all the time so if I tap one by accident I’m still safe.
As far as moving the maze (which I haven’t seen yet), I’m hoping at some point they give us the ability to “highlight” groups of things and move them all at once. It would make rearranging areas a lot less time consuming. Especially when there’s a lot of trees or bushes involved. Some of those (at least for me) are really hard to pick up and put back down in the right place and if I have a house with 20 or 30 of them…well maybe it looks just fine where it is.
My Squidport tile should be all floaty (again) this evening.
^(%&)%&(%%^#!! 3 day build time !!
ETA My tile never seems to have more than two handshakes on it. Is that normal (or as normal as a glitch can be)? Does anyone’s game show more than 2 floating handies?
I’m now at level 13 or 14 and I’ve switched my strategy to grinding for awhile.
I reinvest all my funds into blue houses with a payoff of 150/8h, which pays for itself after 4 days. Faster if I have bonuses. I buy white picket fences with my donuts to get the best bang for the buck.
After about three days, I’m up to around 60 blue houses. I think I’ll try to get up to 200, which should net me ~90,000 every day. Meantime, I’ve stopped being able to do regular quests so the AI ocassionally takes pity on my and requests I do quests like “shop at the Kwik-E-Mart.”
I am going to start keeping a two handshake minimum. Good tip.
For moving the small stuff, I agree, it’s a pain. I would love to be able to select all and move them around. I usually just throw all the things into inventory and then redistribute. I may carve out an hour this weekend and redecorate.
What I would really like is a way to organize the lists of things for sale. By price, by type of item, etc. Also, the premium items are a pain to scroll through. They seem to be in there as they became available. Terrible system.
Still waiting for a cast list so I can find everyone quickly. I hate coming back at the end of the day only to discover a few people have been wandering around without tasks all day because they were hiding when I was tasking everyone.
Not even just that, but there’s times when I just need to find ONE person. ONE PERSON and I really don’t want to ‘release’ all of them at once. It would be nice to have some kind of drop down menu so that I could click on, for example, Milhouse and it would take me right to him (or the building he’s in).
I hate that they don’t already have this. It would be so easy. They already have something similar when you have one of those tasks where you have to get 20 citizens to eat at a restaurant or go to jail - you click on the task bar and it takes to to a random free character. I would also really like to be able to send everyone on tasks of the same length without having to do it all individually.
I’m not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but I discovered that the Squidport tiles can give a huge amount of XP when you collect them as a friend, depending on the size of the Squidport. I have one account (kaargh) that gives 780 XP. And you can collect the same amount 3 times. Go in, tap the tile, go back out to the map, go back in, collect the tile, go back out, then go back in and collect one final time. That’s 2840 XP from just one town. The smaller the port, the less XP. It seems helpful if you’re trying to level up to be able to start a quest or if you’ve already reached the last level and are trying to get donuts.
