Wow. $400k? What are you saving your money for at this point?
This is only after a week of playing? That is some serious dedication. I can’t get on every 8 hours, but that’s the same house I am buying. The blue ones. Seems to be the best bang for the buck for what I’m trying to do, and you just confirmed it.
I have a long way to go, but i bought my first eight blue houses, and my next plot of land.i have about $20 left, so I have to restore my reserves, but that’s ok… Sounds like I’m on the right track for what i want to do.
But $150 x 3 x 128 = $57,600 per day and that’s just for blue houses and that’s not counting % bonuses. So every week it would be $403,000 from houses. In reality, I’m probably hitting the 8 hour mark 5 times every 2 days, so the weekly total will probably be a little lower.
As for what I’m saving for…I dunno. Stairway to nowhere? The popsicle sticks? Basically, I’m not “saving” for anything. I’m just now earning more money than I’m currently spending buying the buildings I need to progress in the game.
For instance, I had to buy an Orange House today for a quest. It was $24,500, which I bought with no issue. It’s effectively 1 blue house cycle’s worth of money. I’m sure eventually the buildings will cost more than I’m making. But I’m not there yet.
I’ve been building blue houses as well - not as many as Ender! - and I’ve found it to be an effective cash cow.
However, I have found that having TOO much XP from harvesting all those houses tends to get you behind, somewhat, on quest lines in comparison to your level.
For example, I only recently progressed far enough in the quests to be able to build Moe’s - which has been preventing me advancing the Thanksgiving quest. In theory I should have built Moe’s at level 15, but I’m already well into 18, from all the blue house XP.
How do I get it to ask me for my login credentials again? I accidentally started a new game under Anonymous and holy burning bush is it tedious to start from scratch. Dang cats were doing something cute and distracted me … I don’t know of a way to force the login screen, and I juuust got the new update so it just takes me back into the Anonymous game each time.
You an either wait until the tutorial part is over, or hard close the app. On ios7 double press the home button and then swipe the simpsons screen up and away. On other platforms I’m not sure.
On my Kindle Fire (and possibly on standard Android devices) turning the tablet off and then restarting results in forcing the Simpsons Tapped Out app to restart from the beginning.
I don’t know if this has been mentioned, but just a tip for everyone. If you’re doing what I did and letting your Squidport sit unimproved while you leave a completed tile behind for everyone to tap, make sure you build the Itchy and Scratchy Store before you get too far (or don’t build it at all), because the quest after building it requires you to build a tile from the entrance, and it will tap your tile and make you build a new one. I have to wait over 2 days to get one up again.
Just FYI, there are indeed donuts today. Just logging on netted me three. There’s a quest for Homer which I’ll do when he’s free in an hour to get even more.
And can someone explain what the squid port hack is with the tiles? I hear you guys mentioning it. Does it still work?
It does, and it works on the Farm and Channel 6 too (maybe other places?). Build a tile and then don’t collect it when it’s finished. One of your friends comes by and taps that tile, DON’T collect that handshake! Another friend (or the same friend 24 hours later) taps the tile again and now you have two handshakes. You can collect one of these. Other friends come by and you have 5 or 6 handshakes, you can collect all of these as long as you leave one last handshake floating. This way you can collect several tiles a day.
Also, as a friend going to other people’s town. If you tap the tile you will get a minimum of 500 xp (up to 780 something depending on their squidport). If you tap the tile and leave the town you can come back later and get a minimum of 1500xp per visit. If you are trying to get the free donuts that come from maxing your xp this is very helpful. Also, if your friend has collected your tile tap before you come back to his town he can get a tile for each of your three taps.
Two questions regarding visiting other Springfields.
Do i get just the 25 xp’s that i’m seeing in the little pop-up that tells me to collect them and I’m a great neighboreeno, or do I get the money associated with the items I’ve selected?
Because I can’t tell if I’m getting the XP’s and cash from my choices for my neighbors.
If i do, it would benefit me to search around each springfield, and choose the most profitable cash and xp payouts, correct?
As for the other question, do you have to wait until the collect button pos up, or as soon as you’ve chosen your third thing that’s completed to finish your visit can you just leave, without waiting for that pop-up and get your credits anyway?
Well, I decided to get Gil’s deal. At 150 donuts each, the Duff Brewery and the Springfield sign are decently priced. Besides, I’d been wanting an excuse to get Duffman. Oh yeah!
That would seem like a great deal if you have the donuts.
Third question (first two are in my last post right above this one…)
Where do Krustyland tickets get accumulated? I picked up a few at someone’s krustyland, and I didn’t know what they were or what they wee for, after reading about them inline, I se they are pretty useless until i have my very own krustyland ,but do any tickets I gather now get stored somewhere for future use?
When you get Krustyland, it shows you the total in place of cash. Krustyland uses tickets, not cash, so the meter that shows cash will be tickets when you go there. I don’t know if it will remember the tickets you’ve claimed already.
So as a result of being bored at work, I decided to look up jobs on the Tapped Out wiki to figure out payouts per hour. I’m sure someone else has already done this, but my boss is out and it’s not like I have anything better to do.
Obviously, you make less cash and XP per hour the longer the job is, but there are some exceptions. 30 minute and hour long jobs are exactly the same. You make more cash per hour on the 4 hr jobs vs. the 2 hour jobs and the 12 hour jobs vs. the 8 hour jobs. You’ll still make less XP though.
For the Krustyland jobs, you’ll actually make less cash per hour than a normal job for the most part. That is, until you hit the 24 hour job. On the 24 hour job, with the max payout (cashing in 30000 tickets at once) you’ll make 1000 cash, the same a premium character 24 hour job. You’ll make 1.5x the XP too. The only downside is that to build up enough tickets for that payout, it’ll take about 5 to 6 days. Per hour, that’s equivalent to doing 6 hour jobs.
Premium characters don’t really make 50% more per job. It ranges from 1.1x more on a 4 hour job to 1.7 on a 30 minute job. The xp is 1.5x for the most part. Premium characters make the same amount at Krustyland as they do on normal jobs, so there’s no reason to send them there unless you’re trying to get to 30000 faster.
I’ll assume that those tickets are gone and won’t be recorded, since i don’t have a KL yet. If I’m surprised with some tickets when i build KL, (whenever that is) that will be a nice bonus, but i won’t make it a point to collect them unless someone knows the answer for sure.
I don’t believe I received any money for tapping on the ticket, which is why I asked…
