The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I know there’s at least one exception in that Bart earns more (not more per hour, just more) doing a three hour job at the Aztec Theater then his 4 hour job. I think there’s one or two others like that. IIRC, the Aztec Theater is premium.

The Krustyland tickets you pick up in your neighbor’s towns will be there for you when you get around to building it. I had 420 tickets when I visited my own Krustyland for the first time.

I’m on Ios and I still want to know:

How do I change my password?

By tile, do you mean Boardwalk Section?

Bought two parcels of land yesterday and I got a donut in one and a 2nd burning bush in another. Woo hoo.

Yes. I don’t know where I picked up that slang for it though. Is that not what everyone calls them?

I have a floating tile, but not much on my boardwalk. Do people still get decent XP for clicking on it?

The rumors are that tomorrow starts the Christmas event. Either that…or some time this week.

Does the christmas stuff take money? I just spent every dollar on a java server.

Much like real Xmas, I’m not ready for it!

I am guessing that it may have its own currency, like the ghosts for Halloween. Last year, they had “hearts” for Valentines as well and snakes for whacking day. It’s a thing they do for their big holidays.

All speculation at this point, though. I’m not sure.

Hi all,

First, thanks to those that have accepted my friend request. In case anyone else needs friends, my user id is 68XR7G

I have not sent a request to everyone on the list in this thread yet, but I’m about halfway home. That is one tedious process of putting everyone’s name in one at s time. So if you haven’t received a request from me and need friends, please send me one. If not, expect one to come your way soon. I’m up to about 20 friends, so I have a long way to go. I think this is an excellent way to get more points, so I will try to max out on the friend list (supposedly 100, so I have a way to go).

Here are the questions.
1). When you go into another person’s Springfield, and choose the three items to get points for, does it give you the same number of XP’s and $ amounts regardless of what you select? It seems to, but I want to confirm this to be the case.

2). How long do you have to wait before you can leave one Springfield to move onto the next one? I was waiting for each XP and $ Bundle to be swept up before moving on, but this is a drag. I’d like to leave as soon as I choose the three items and they break down into the XP and money bundles, and the little info screen tells you to come back in 23hours, 59 minutes. As soon as I see this, I would like to go, but I don’t want to leave too soon and not register my money and XP. Anyone know what the nest time to leave to move onto the next Springfield is?

3). I had something strange happen to me today and I’m wondering if it has happened to anyone else: I selected Krustyland from the small Springfield picture on the friends page (where there are 3 Springfield layouts/page) and I got into Krustyland but couldn’t leave or move around in the person’s Springfield. It was very strange. The person had nothing in Kland to pick up, so after a while of trying to move myself out of there, I backed out and re-entered at a new location and everything was fine. Is this normal when you select Krustyland to enter on?

4). I went into another Springfield, and saw something very funny. Don’t know who it was, but someone was rolling around the town in one of those big steel balls, I think it was red, but it looked like a hamster ball for a cartoon character. Who is this?

5). I’ve noticed some folks are on level 37.
A) Does it top out there? Also,
B) once you get thst high and enter your play area, how long does it take you to clear out all of the thumbs and check-marks? So,e of these fields look like they have about 100 characters doing some sort of task, not to mention he hundreds of buildings. I imagine at this point in the game, going to friends pages to help them out could be very tiresome, as you are really doing a ton of tapping. Can anyone shed some light on this, and give us an idea of how much time a routine visit would take?

Thanks!

Yes and no. If you click on a tile in squidport, even if you haven’t built yours yet, it gives you massive xp. Otherwise clicking any building (or spraying or cleaning graffiti) nets you the same. You get the amount of tickets and xp regardless of Krustyland choice of taps too. It’s considered polite right now to tap tiles, Channel 6, Open Air Stage, and/or Cletus’s farm because it generates more xp/money for your neighbor. The best choices are the buildings that are premium (cost the neighbor money to buy them) and/or ones with long periods to regenerate. So if the Simpsons house is next to an orange house and both are ready to be tapped, tap on the orange one because that takes 16 hours to be ready, as opposed to the simpsons’ which takes less than a minute. That means for your neighbor, s/he won’t have to wait the full 16 hours until the orange house is ready again.

You can leave immediately. If you spray or clean up graffiti, make sure the mop or can stops doing its thing, otherwise it doesn’t finish the task. During Halloween, you had to wait for the “thanks for being a good neighboreeno” message or the goo wouldn’t collect properly, but regular xp and cash works fine. I’d keep an eye on it come Christmas to see if it is buggy again like Halloween.

Never had that, but it was probably just a one time thing.

I think it’s Luann, Milhouse’s mother. She’s a premium character that gets unlocked in the mid 30s.

37 is the max level now. It probably will be bumped to 38 this week or next. When you max out the levels, it’s not that bad at the beginning. When you fill your xp bar, you get a little bonus box where you can get 1, 2, or 3 donuts, and you can pay $50k once or twice until you get 3 donuts. I still have lower level tasks (my game level and xp level are way different), so I have lots to do. If my taskbook was empty, the game will randomly give you tasks to do from time to time.

Since I’m still a fairly new player, I have it easier than some, but it takes a good 10 minutes to tap everything in the morning and get them back on tasks to start the day. A lot of high level players who don’t need cash don’t bother to put characters on assignments because it’s just so much work, or just put them on 8, 12, or 24 hour ones to minimize the grind.

Right now, visiting friends’ towns is all over the place for me. If I go in and see a tile ready to tap with Ch 6 and the Farm ready right next to it, it’s in and out and done in 10 seconds. Sometimes you have to search for Sideshow Bob. Sometimes there’s no tile and I look for the KL shuttle to get KL tickets (the last attraction in KL requires an insane amount of tix to build). Prior to halloween, I could get through all my neighbors in an hour because I’d just look for the first 3 high value things. Now that I look for specific things, it takes longer. Plus if a friend only has a tile up, I’ll tap it once and go to the next friend. Later in the day I’ll go through and revisit those friends to tap their tiles once more, and then a 3rd time. The 2nd and 3rd visits usually go quickly because not everyone has a tile to tap, so I’m not going to 100 Springfields. Plus I am not searching around, just scrolling left and leaving.

Thanks for the great answers!

One question. What is a “tile” is Squidport, or anywhere else, for that matter?

Oh, and I tried the “click on Krustyland” trick again, and i was trapped in someone else’s KLand!

Both times, I noticed that there was nothing to select to help out me or my neighbor-eeno, and had to back out again.

This is an odd feature.

Augh!

I boogered up this morning, as a bout of insomnia caused me to add a $16,500 Blinky Balloon. The three-eyed fish.

And before. I knew it, I hit the weong button and bougt another one! :smack:

That’s deserves a Homer d’oh for sure.

Is there any way to trade “up” with something like this? I know i screwed up, and I will take my lumps with the lost money, but can you trade something like this back in, and get “credit”, to be spent on something else, like other balloons or some other nonsense I don’t need?

Agh, that was about a days worth of play. What a kick in the grinding groin.

Hit that “4 way” button, go over to the balloon and click on it and few options will pop up. Click on the $, which is the option to sell it back. I think you only get 25% percent back. So if you paid, 16,500 for it, you’re only going to get $4125. Before doing that, decide if that’s worth it. It might be better to just keep it.

Unfortunately, I tried this. A pop-up appears and says “You cant sell this back!” Or something like that.

I’m stuck with two Blinkies. Oh well. I’m probably one of the only people out there that has two of those balloons. At least i have that going for me.

Man, i was out of it. I hit that stupid check mark thinking "i’m done, this will just kill this window and BAM! I don’t know why my brain did that. It’s probably my subconscious telling me i’m wasting time with this game and to quit.

Yeah, the squid port tile really racks up the experience. In a “do unto others” I went through my friend’s list and clicked two random buildings and a tile piece if it was available. It took about 14 minutes to go through 40 friends but I got around 8000 experience for doing so. I don’t need the experience per se, I’m well above the level I should be at for the quests that I’m currently doing.
But my Squidport could use a tile or two itself, hint hint hint

Can you tell me what to look for to click on a “tile”. Im still not clear on what it is.

Is a tile a piece of the floor, road, or something? Is there a pic of it? I’ll be happy to click on your tile if i know what to click on

You just did in mine. Thanks!!

It’s the floating piece of boardwalk next to the entrance to squidport.
