I will continue to help folks out as long as i can, and when I get my squid port, please try to remember me… I did a search on the squid-port tiles and found what they looked like, so now that i know, I’ll help everyone out I can.
I have just reached level 15, so I assume I will be sent on a quest to get my own squid-port, so please remember to click on my tile as well (if it helps, which I assume it does)
Quests don’t just happen when you hit a level. That’s just when they have the potential to occur. You have to go through pre requisite quests first. So if you’re gaining experience faster than you’re “supposed” to, by grinding through house builds or even clicking other tiles for instance, you may be up to level 19 or something before you’ve done everything you need to do to start a level 15 quest. Don’t get discouraged though. It’ll happen when it happens.
Is the Pimento Grove worth spending the money on? On the wiki it says it doesn’t add a character and only listed two quests for it. If it’s no big thing then I’d rather save my money because I have four establishments I can buy as soon as I get the quests to unlock them.
Also is anyone actually trying to build a town? I just put all the buildings really close together so I save space and don’t have to keep buying more space.
I think the pace of earning and the cost of expansion does tend to discourage town building right away (and encourages blue house spam), at least until you’ve got enough buildings and characters to start earning significant money. That bothered me at first, but I eventually concluded that it’s better to keep building than it is to expand. I’ve got a portion of my town laid out, but only because I managed to win a dog track jackpot.
Yeah, my plan is that once I get to level cap, someday, and I have all the necessary buildings then I’ll start spending all my money on buying land and spreading things out and making a proper town.
Hold off on the decorations/trees/fences and stuff too, because it can be a pain to move all that stuff later, and the gains from having high vanity ratings and the like are marginal early on.
Right no, for no real reason, I’m in the process of buying ALL the land. I’ve set a (more or less) arbitrary amount of money to keep in reserve (for not wasting on this project) and anytime I go above it I buy up land. I’m guessing, without looking at the game, that I have 30 or 40 more plots to buy, it’ll probably take me a month or so to buy up the rest of them.
I’m playing as swat_yukon795, and I would love some help with my Squidport tile! I’ve got one handshake symbol right now, and I can’t wait to see if this works for me.
Also, and apologies if this has been asked and answered already, but can anyone tell me why my righteousness rating will spontaneously drop from five stars to zero?
I have yet to get around to figuring out the squid port tile thing that you’ve all been going on about. I don’t care about XP at this point so … Is it worth it? Can I score a donut here and there or something?
Yes, I have been trying to play the game as if I’m creating a real town. I haven’t quite got everything the way I like it, but I am proud of my little Springfield.
There are a couple quests, but it can totally wait, I think. Get something better and save up for it later. It lights up nice when someone is actually in there, but that is a rare occurrence.
It just does. Once you get to Eddie and Lou level, I believe, you can buy training walls to keep your righteousness up. Otherwise it can randomly plummet. I think it’s on purpose by ea to encourage you to visit your neighbors (you can clean up their graffiti, your visits might have them come to vandalize your town so you can clean up your own). Cleaning graffiti raises your righteousness. I’ve also read that keeping the criminals in jail will do that. Catching Sideshow Bob will too. I almost always find him in the ea Other Springfield.
If you max out your xp bar, you can get donuts. Minimum 500 xp per tile tap, up to 1000. So if you have 99 friends with tiles and visit them three times a day at 500 xp a pop, tapping the tile only once per visit, it would be 148,500 xp just for that alone, not including xp you generate yourself. Granted, it’s hard to visit that many people that often and not everyone has a tile, but it’s a great way to get donuts.
And when you all do squidport, leave TWO handshakes up. If you accidentally click one, you’ll still have a spare and won’t have to rebuild (which is expensive and time-consuming). Some people can’t leave two up, but most people can.
Also, don’t start squidport tasks while you have a tile waiting because many tasks kick off with “build a tile” and will clear any handshakes you have.
I would also suggest not putting any buildings that generate income near the squidport entrance. It helps make sure you don’t tap the tile by accident when you are aiming for Much Ado About Muffins or whatever. Try to keep characters who have stand-in-one-place tasks away too. Wait until they wander away.
That’s who it is. She unlocks with the Cracker Factory and gets you about three quest lines overall. The ball is the Atlasphere from American Gladiators and is in the game because Luann dated “Pyro” in the episode A Milhouse Divided. And of course the jacuzzi suit is from the episode Radioactive Man.
If anyone is curious, I think I have every character(at least those with quests) and they are nearly all walking around randomly right now while I wait for Christmas. Have a look if you like. You don’t have to click anything.
It must be about 70 characters at this point. Eventually, I’ll give them all visible tasks and invite you all in for a peek.
What user name are you? I’ll take a look if we are friends, and if not, I’ll send you a friend request. I’d like to see your springfield.
As to some of the others that have chimed in the last day with requests… I still have openings in my friends list, so send me a friend request if you still need help with tiles or anything else, and I’ll do my best to help you out.
One thing… Has anyone else been having trouble adding friends in the past two days? Every time i try to add someone, the game times out. However, i can play with no problem, and I can log back in with no issue either. It’s only if i put someones name in to search the database for the user name to add. It never comes back with the person to add… It literally hangs every time, and has done so the past two days.
