It does, and it works on the Farm and Channel 6 too (maybe other places?). Build a tile and then don’t collect it when it’s finished. One of your friends comes by and taps that tile, DON’T collect that handshake! Another friend (or the same friend 24 hours later) taps the tile again and now you have two handshakes. You can collect one of these. Other friends come by and you have 5 or 6 handshakes, you can collect all of these as long as you leave one last handshake floating. This way you can collect several tiles a day.

Has anyone tried doing this with corn? If we all did this and agreed to tap corn (in three months) like we have with Squidport sections/Channel 6 programs/Open Air Stage, this would be a pretty easy way to accumulate a ton of money, which I think could translate into donuts through XP.

As to some of the others that have chimed in the last day with requests… I still have openings in my friends list, so send me a friend request if you still need help with tiles or anything else, and I’ll do my best to help you out.

One thing… Has anyone else been having trouble adding friends in the past two days? Every time i try to add someone, the game times out. However, i can play with no problem, and I can log back in with no issue either. It’s only if i put someones name in to search the database for the user name to add. It never comes back with the person to add… It literally hangs every time, and has done so the past two days.

I don’t have the patience or donuts for corn, but I think I’ll start some moonshine and place my cletus farm right next to the squidport entrance.

I knew there was a reason I bought the witch costume for Marge! I think I can get my corn up in only two months or so! Assuming her 4 hour task takes 4 hours off of the corn timer, I’m pretty sure that’s how that works.

So long as we don’t need the farm for some Christmas task…

I’ve had my corn going for a little while now and knocking off at least 4 hours a day with Marge. I try to hit it twice if I can. I’ll announce it when it’s complete and see if it works. Since the crop wilts and dies if left too long, timing is important.

I don’t think it was available back when we all started building Squidport. I don’t think it is a glitch as much as an unannounced feature.

I’m really backed up on my Lisa tasks, she’s needed for the Dolph plotline, the Thanksgiving stuff, and now a secret meeting with Skinner. I’m just glad she’s not involved in the whole thing with Milhouse’s Dad…

Is there a way that we could get an updated list of who actually wants friends? I sure would like help with the squid port tile, but my friends from elsewhere don’t seem to be aware of it. Are most people here maxed out on friends?

Also,jackdavinci’s post makes me wonder something. Do tasks go away? When I got Ultra house 2, a task for Homer came available, but I had him do something else first, and I never could find that task back again.

By the way, the building of moe’s is supposed to happen at level 15.

That was a strange task. Moe and his tavern are sort of incidental to Marge’s appearance. Marge is also technically unlocked with Moe’s Tavern, you’ll get her as well.

I got the Squeaky Voiced Teen in my Mystery Box today! I am very excited. I had been waffling about just breaking down and spending the donuts on him. So glad I didn’t. He and the Lemon Tree are the only good things to come out of the box. So many fences and shrubs and benches.

I am now on level 17, but i can’t get homer to get his task to build Moe’s and send Moe on his task. Moe just doesn’t exist yet. If you don’t think its cheating and want to see the progression of all the tasks there is a walkthrough on the EA Forum. It tells you all the missions and who needs to be available to start each one.

Last week, I hit 30 donuts on my mystery box as I was getting into a train, lost my network connection before I accepted, and got a tree with the mystery box when I reconnected. So frustrating.

I also liked (and I apologize tremendously for forgetting whose it was) somekne who had corralled all his or her Springfeldians by building only a small square of road in the middle, and using pavement everywhere else. Quite a crowd trooping around in the town square!
