Well, at least the personal goals aren’t completely dependent on your friends’ actions like they were for the whacking day one. First pass through and I’m over 1K gift cards, so 2/3 of the way to the 2nd reward.
And are the skip to previous/next friend buttons new? Or have I just been completely oblivious to them?

How do you leave bags/gifts in other towns?
Yeah, I don’t really get it. I think I left a couple in someone’s town and then ran out? Does the tree just give you boxes to open regularly?
If they’re not new, I’ve missed them too. I would probably not have noticed if you hadn’t pointed them out.
The tree just gives out boxes. I assume the gift bags work like gremlins, where you leave it and then the friends taps it to get gift cards (and possibly a reward for the gifter?)
Also, apparently the cards work the same as goo in the friends towns, you have to tap them all before moving on.
It looks like you have to have at least 3 bags. That kickstarts a quest to drop them in other towns. There is an icon on the top right. You hit it and it drops presents. It doesn’t look like you can place them yourself (maybe to prevent people from hiding them behind a house or something). Before you get your 3 bags to start the quest, the icon won’t be there.
There’s an arrow when you’re in your friend’s towns so you can scroll directly to the next town or back instead of backing out to the town list.

When I went through my friend list to do the “drop off 3 presents” quest, there was only 1 friend with the button.
Mine are adding up without me collecting. I’m just going in, tapping, and leaving.
Another note - I would suggest adding some brown houses if you don’t have any but through your town a lot to collect money and XP. Some towns I’ve been in don’t really have anything to click on but the few things that refresh quickly like the Simpson’s house and the Quik-E-Mart. In two really small towns, I could only find 2 things to tap, then I had to re-tap the Simpson’s house to get my third. The graffiti buildings don’t seem to be active.
Nah, I’m sitting here with a friend that CAN give away gifts and I couldn’t give them to him. I have Bart and Homer still stuck on 8 hour jobs from this morning but he said that had a dialogue before he could do that. I’m thinking as soon as their done with their jobs, they’ll have the dialogue, go of on the first winter quest then I’ll be able to do that. No big deal, y’all will get your presents tomorrow. In the mean time I already tore through everyone’s towns today and got the first two prizes.

I wonder if this is also why i can’t search for any friends any longer. It crashes every time when i search. Two folks asked to add me, and I was able to accept those requests, but I still cannot search for new friends, maybe it’s a memory thing, but I don’t know. If anyone can help me here, I’d appreciate it. I have updated everything on my iPad, including the last ios update.
I love not having to search for every character now. If that’s what this new feature does, it’s a welcome one.
Can i ask if anyone knows if I need to keep all the gifts around the tree, or do I collect them? I collected the first ten, and then another few… And then it dawned on me I might need them to take to other towns. I’m just not sure what to do here, but i’ll muck around with it when I get some time today. Any info or tips you all can share would be appreciated.

Those gifts are yours. The bags that you give others will come from those, so you need to collect them. The tree will give you new gifts every 5 minutes (that was the rate for ghosts during the Halloween event anyway) and you will also get some from your friends.

Hrmmm, I went to one town when I had 175, tapped a few buildings, went to the next town and I still had 175.
Looking at the premium items, where you can buy more, it looks like there’ll be some sort of wheel to spin and get gifts out of. There’s also a character for an “ice show.”
Speaking of the premium items, I really wish I had donuts to buy the Simpsons snowmen. It’s one of my favorite gags on the show.
Thank you for the info… I cannot visit any of my friends yet, since i have a few hours before my 24 hour cycle is up on other Springfields. I’ll see more when I get into other towns, I suppose.
Thanks for this list. However, just for the record, I am Stink Fish Pot, not Stinky. Sure, that might sound like a small difference to you, but Stinky is a name that can stick with a guy. :mad: 
Question. Why do you have 4 different Springfields? I understand it from a friend POV, and being able to help out yourself when needed, but how much time does it take you to update all 4 towns?
I only sent you one friend request when I originally went through the SDMB list, but I’ll send you other invites for the other three userid’s you have. If you want, sending me the invite is probably easier, because I still haven’t been able to send one out for over a week, but I’ll give it a shot.
