Depends on who they are. The zombies I don’t really care about. The frog I put away because a dialogue popped up that I had to click though each time I accidentally clicked on him. I could do without Gil for the same reason.
The more the merrier. I earned them I want to see them.
I like most of the characters, but i don’t care for zombies, ghosts, or dolphins bouncing around.
I wish each character had something to say, instead of only the subset we have. Milhouse is silent, for example and so is Martin Prince. They should all have speaking parts or sounds associated with them.
My first post in this thread was about a year ago, so that’s how l’ve been playing.
I’ve been max-leveled for quite a while now, and play at least once a day.
I’m STILL actively building, and make modifications here and there to my town regularly. If something new that I can buy with in game cash shows up, it gets built / bought. Not a big fan of the escalator to nowhere, the magnifying glass, or the largest cubic zirconia, though.
Some premium stuff (like Mount Carlmore) looks silly, and I don’t bother with it.
I had a house farm for a little bit, then someone here made me feel guilty
so I deleted most of the 15 or so houses I had, and now keep 6 of them in a “nice & decorated” neighborhood.
It’s slow at first, but don’t kill yourself trying to make a pretty town when you start.
If you have some extra cash, buy some trees - they’re pretty cheap and they raise the tree-hugger rating pretty quickly (I DO wish all of the 6 or 7 tree types were together in the SAME section of the menus, though - that’s annoying)
For what it’s worth, I’ve NEVER had a 5% rating for my town - it’s at 4.5% now (I think) - apparently I don’t have enough restaurants or houses.
I splurged and bough $50 bucks of donuts (maybe less - I think they were on “sale”) to buy some premium stuff, and all others have been thru leveling up, and I was fortunate enough to get the “harp glitch” a while back, and this resulted in appx 1000 free donuts !! :D:D:D That’s where most of my premium stuff came from - ill gotten gains.
I currently have 99% of my town on 12 hour tasks - I’ll let you know how much I net later today.
I only have the turkey wandering around my town. I found everything else distracting so far.
My whole taskbook is filled with Homer and Lisa 24 hour tasks and I’m afraid to start them in case Christmas does start tomorrow.
Christmas spoilers
A reliable source has indicated we’ll have group goals to collect ______ like we did with goo for Halloween.
I’d go ahead and start them. I’m not sure about Homer but boxing/unboxing Moe’s will get Marge (and Moe) out of whatever she’s doing. Sure you’ll have to start the task over, but it’s better then speeding it up with donuts.
There’s a handful of characters that can’t be stopped like that, I assume Bart and Homer are two of them.
Where are your spoilers from? I wonder when they will launch the Xmas thing. I hope it is soon.
If Homer/Lisa’s task is indoors, you can box the building they’re in to cancel their task. You’re out of luck if you put them on an outdoor task.
All signs point to today as the update.
I have the same problem. I’ve looked on the EA forums and I’ve discovered that this is a known bug that’s been happening since the Halloween update. Hopefully it gets corrected soon, but for now, I’ve pretty much ignored building anything in Krustyland.
My magic 8 ball just says “Cannot connect to server, Retry?”
I guess I’ve been lucky. No problems.
It crashes for me too on the few occasions I go to KL
It’s annoying, but Krustyland is pretty much a non-entity for me in this game anyways so I just do something else for the thirty seconds that the game takes to reboot.
They should’ve made KL part of the main game like the Squidport.
Update is in the App Store!
Can anyone report if there is an opening task to Xmas and if so, how long does it take?
Happened 100% of the time on my iPad 3; I upgraded to an iPad Air for unrelated reasons and it’s never crashed going to KL again (although it still crashes occasionally for other reasons – log looks like it’s using too much memory.)
The opening task does not require a character and does not require any build time.
FYI, the extra Squidport tiles, crops, and Channel 6 programs appear to get wiped away when you upgrade (my Channel Ocho was lost), so you may want to collect them before you upgrade.
All mine are gone too. Grr.
Best thing about the update, for me anyway - there is a new box on the top left corner that shows a character who isn’t working on a task. Tap it and their tasks come up so you can send them off to do something. I was hoping for the ability to be able to send everyone off to do tasks lasting the same amount of time, but this is at least a little better than having to search for characters who aren’t doing anything.
hmm… Not for android though?
