There is a way to add/delete friends using a pc or mac - Origin for macOS - Electronic Arts.
Another suggestion for helping other people out - if the Christmas tree that generates gift cards every 24 hours has a red card above it like the buildings have, tap on it. You won’t get the gift cards but, like tapping the coin, it will restart the clock.
After you get 30,000 gift cards, each 1,000 additional net you a spin token.

Time to add some more friends. I’m around 45ish. It looks to me that if you have 100 friends and visit them everyday, you should end up up with 50-60 extra coins.
Just downloaded this to my iPad - huge updates downloaded, and now I’m wondering what next. It’s been on a title screen with a rotating donut for about 30 minutes, with no text to tell me if it’s applying the updates or what.
Is this normal?

I ended up buying 3 coins for it and got some decorations and the Mr. Plow jacket. First thing right off the bat Homer has a 24 hour task. Cletus is in the middle of one for the main Christmas story line and I’m in the middle of building the ice rink, so it’s good timing.
Interesting theory. I’ve got my egg nog bar up, and one handshake one it. I’ll be gone for around 6 hours so I’ll check it this evening and see what’s up.
I got the Mr Plow Jacket today. His task is very entertaining. The Happy Elf Ride that unlocks at 14,000 goes in Krustyland. I hadn’t thought about it, but it makes sense.
I used my elves to collect my stuff this morning, but that was kind of a bad idea because I didn’t see which of my friends left me gift bags. I’m still struggling to get gift bags to give out. And no coins found still. I’m nearly halfway to collecting them through gift card collecting, but I feel crappy now. Must have patience.
Can anyone share with me the trick of how to obtain extra squid port sections? I just started building my boardwalk, and if I remember correctly, if I get a floating piece of tile, I’m not supposed to tap on it correct? I let visitors tap on it when they visit… But what happens then?
Someone tapped on my first tile and I saw the handshake. So I tapped on the handshake and my tile went into inventory. Am i supposed to leave that handshake up and let other folks tap on it also?

Look, this game is tons of fun and nearly as addictive as heroin an’ all but who in the bloody fuck has time to visit a hundred other people? Maybe once in a weekend but every day?!? Do people really do this?
I don’t know for sure how many friends I have, but it’s fairly high. I just do it while doing other things, like watching TV that doesn’t require a lot of attention.
No way. I have about 50 friends, and during special events like this one, I try to visit them all once a day. I split it up into two groups to help guard against carpal tunnel issues. I’d love to add more friends and get prizes faster, but I know I won’t get around to tapping everyone. I think I’m maxed out around 50. But that’s just me.
I have 100 and I will now do just that every day during special events(until I collect the prizes).
With the quick switch between towns, it takes 25 minutes or so. I can tell by how long the 24 hour timer ticks down from the beginning to the end.
I getting roughly 3500 gift cards a day and should be done with the main prizes really quickly.
Note: I don’t visit other towns at all unless a special event is going on, which is not often at all actually. The XP and money is too little during regular times.
I did not usually do it before the new update, though; you had to go to the town screen after each visit.
Also, before the update, it really did take over an hour to visit everyone. I only did that once in blue moon. I used to even do 50 at 3:30 PM and the rest at night.
I’ll time myself tonight when I do it in one big push and post my exact time here to give you an idea.

It’s still working for me. When the big Christmas update went through, it killed all the tiles and Channel 6 stuff, but if you start over - like build a new tile or start a program at Channel 6 - you can still use the trick. I’ve been using it for Channel 6 since the day after the update when my program finally finished and a new tile just finished building in one of my towns and I was able to get a tile, just like before the update.
Stink Fish Pot - you have to leave the first handshake up at all times. That’s what sets the “trick” off. When a second person taps the tile, you will get a second handshake. Tapping that one will get you the tile. But make sure you don’t tap the first tile or you’ll have to start over. For one of my towns, I was able to get over 100 tiles from building just one. I can get 9 per day all on my own just going in and out from my 3 other towns (it took forever though). I’ve moved on to doing the same thing with Channel 6. I have a program icon up that gives me around $3250 per tap, which is getting me almost $30,000 a day. Plus, other people are tapping it, so I get the money there. I’m trying to do the same whenever I see someone with one up.
Would anyone be interested in a Tapped Out “best of” contest? I’m thinking after the Holiday season is over that it would be cool to have a judges go through other folks Towns and pick “best of” for various categories. Note: I would also include categories for those at lower levels as well.
I’d be willing to judge and exempt myself from the competition. I should probably have another couple judges as well.
My idea is to start another thread and get some volunteer judges and some volunteer contestants. Then, we make sure the judges are friends with the contestants and the judges go through and view each Springfield and we discuss via PM who wins what awards.
While we all visit each other, very few of us look at each other’s towns much and I bet that many of us would like to have our town’s viewed for more than a few seconds.
Any interest? If so, I’ll prepare a separate thread for it and start coming up with ideas.
